Yet, for my take:

If you watch "hot girls wanted" on netflix, you will never want to watch porn again. You see how broken and damaged some of these women are (there are definitely ones that love what they do) and you realize that by watching the videos you are watching the downfall of a human being.

It's not uncommon for them to commit suicide at an early age, due to constant beratement and instability. I don't really want to be a part of it, it makes me depressed.

I have a few distant relatives like Hannah Hays, sad to say. They're from the very, very low-class Italian-American side of my family.

These people are severely learning disabled. They can't pronounce words correctly. They can't put together regular sentences. They speak like they're reading out of a book.

You know how you see this sort of stereotype of Italians in the movies and on old TV shows? That's 'cause it's based on some difficult-to-swallow truths.

I once interviewed award-winning author Gay Talese (who is Italian-American) and he spoke of how inbreeding was very common among some Italians, who were paranoid about outsiders. That's probably what happened to the Italians who are in a far-off branch of my family tree. And I suspect that's the case with Hannah Hays.

As for Hays graduating with a 4.0, that sounds like boilerplate porn P.R. But if it's true, they likely gave her special dispensations to assure she graduated and got the hell out of the school system quickly (i.e. "We don't want to be responsible! Bye!"). I knew kids who got take home tests or got to take tests without time limits.

What causes people to be like this? It's an underdeveloped or damaged pre-frontal cortex. An underdeveloped prefrontal cortex usually comes about because of the aforementioned inbreeding or parental drug usage. But a damaged one is usually due to child abuse -- something Italians and rednecks also have in common.

The prefrontal cortex of our brains controls both cognitive thinking and inhibitions. When you have men with that part of the brain not working right you get your typical Stupid Sex Offender . When you have women with that kind of brain damage or underdevelopment, you get Hannah Hays.

Finally, what I see happening with her life is probably what happened with my distant cousins. The parents themselves were most likely too stupid to know how to help their own kid.

And the problem with stupid people is they tend to be the biggest know-it-alls. So even if someone did try to talk to the parents, it would have done no good.

I don't think an age limit is the answer to all this. That's just older porn actresses trying to get rid of young competition. I think an IQ test should be a requirement. And, unlike in the school system, the test shouldn't be a take home quiz where you can take as long as you want and ask for as much help as you want.

I would estimate the ratio of girls who like doing porn to girls who are selling their souls for a paycheck to be about 1:10,000.

The suicide and overdose rate in porn actresses appears to be way higher than the female average. I would say the same about the male pornstars, but there simply aren't enough to get an idea.

Back in the 80s and 90s, my uncle rented out commercial space to a number of porn shops. They would carry next to no stock and still manage to turn over huge monthly revenues. The rent was always paid on time, in cash. Back then, I think it actually was organized crime laundering money.

Now, I think there are a number of studies that are funded by "wealthy investors" who order the managers to produce porn that aids in whatever schemes they have cooked up.

And, I'm interested in pornstars because I studied this stuff for over half of my life. It's academic to me.

I asked a lawyer in porn valley about this (he's not a porn lawyer). He said that in the US and in California it is actually illegal to do this. That seems like bullshit to me, as I know the government uses acuity testing for job placement. But, that's what he told me. Also, I have to imagine that if this was put in to place, many, many of the girls currently shooting would be out of a job.

It gets way darker than that. Look at the user demographics for a channel like Channon Rose and her ilk. There is an entire group of current and former pornstars on YT preaching about how cool/weird/random it is to do porn, oh, and by the way, this is how you get in to porn, too... And, the largest viewing demographic - 13-16-year-old girls. Also, I'm noticing not a lot of age restriction on those videos. Plenty of videos on YT are "too political" for the kids. But a pornstar telling a tween in Des Moines how to hop on a plane to Miami and catch the Bang Bus the minute she turns 18... that's fine. No need to police that. Makes you wonder about things.

Seems to me there's only ever a small number of name performers doing porn, and out of those, most don't stick with it as long as in the past. But when you look at what's actually being uploaded to the tube sites, there seems to be a huge amount of amateur or wannabe types who may only make one clip. Before the streaming revolution there just weren't enough videos being produced to support such a cavalcade of flesh. There is definitely a small group of recognizable mainstream and contract porn performers. Then there are all the one-and-dones and ten-and-dones that burn out right away. That's pretty much all of your AIM certified, CA/AZ/FL porn girls.

There has been an insane upswing in the number of girls doing other types of porn.
