I've also moved back to internet game as well, 8+ is rare online if your town already sucks, but there's plenty of 7s out there just waiting for a guy who isn't a creepy loser

Your situation is heaven compared to G's! I'm from the same place as him, and you have to drive 5 hours to get to a city, though 4 will at least get you to Santa Rosa.

Internet prospects up there are ridiculous. Hardly any women even on OKCupid and the ones that are on there are pretty hideous. You do get the occaissional cutie but I've never been able to get the cute ones up there to message back. I imagine they're bombarded by guys.

You won't find an 8 on there to save your life and even 7's are pretty nonexistent.

OG lives in a fucked place, dating-wise.

I say pull some strings and get outta there if you can!

I think it's safe to say that just about any guy who locks himself into a place with scarce pussy and little opportunity and never at least tries out living somewhere more exciting will most definitely regret it when they're older...something to think about.

This is true, the only problem for me personally, is I'm content with just about every other aspect of my lifestyle outside of women and nightlife, which usually go together hand in hand. If I moved anywhere else, my lifestyle would probably improve as far as picking up women, but suffer in other ways. Add to that, finances effect every man and is capacity in life, I probably couldn't maintain the same standard of living in any major "cool" city, at least not without burning through my savings.

So far the plan is just to travel more, go out and game harder, focus on reading, lifting weights, and MMA, and possibly try to lock down a cute honey if I ever meet one that's worth it. Not to advocate the LTR lifestyle, but some areas that lack women and options, it can be a better alternative to long dry spells, dropping standards, or getting the run-around from chicks who aren't even worth it. The challenge is just finding one that's worth the investment so to speak.

Long term, the plan will probably eventually have to involve a move of some kind, unfortunately most cities in the U.S. IMHO either suck for the kind of lifestyle I want, or are just plain too expensive. For example SoBe Miami sounds pretty dope, but I'm not a millionaire and doubtfully will be pulling in 6 figure incomes any time too soon. SF despite the hate is where I could see myself living, but the cost of living is just too outrageous for a guy who either isn't balling or a rich trust fund baby. Sure I could move down there and get a $3000 a month apartment in a cool neighborhood and live it up for a couple years, but then I'd be flat broke. The problem with life, is the grass is always greener on the other side.

Ya, logistics is part of game, and income affects logistics. Therefore income is part of game. Long term game.

Cold approach is an amazing, valuable, and hard won skill, and for some guys that might be all they really need. But it's also possible to date girls with abundance without approaching much, through lifestyle and location choices. Those choices usually aren't that easy either. There is no one game - there are many games. Location game is good game, and like you say, it requires income game.

Very true. And I'd add that a lot of guys who trade $$ for lifestyle will also have regrets later in life,so you've got me there. Obviously, the solution is to find a new income stream if you ever do move, though that's certainly easier said then done. By the way, if you ever do figure out a way to make it happen, I think Portland would be a great cheaper alternative to SF.

@OG- Ima set you straight. SF is not as expensive as you think. Trust me on this. If you live and work in the city, you need no car, no gas, no insurance. Thats at least 300-500 buxs right there. Rent is killer, but split a 2bdr/2 bath w/somebody in lower pacific heights (excellent) or many other decent areas. That will set you back around 1.2-1.5k.

Your biggest run-away expenditures are drinks at clubs (pre-game will cut this), and pricey food (stay away from SWPL food). My expenditures were about 3k/month w/everything. Going out 3 times/week. Dates. Cabs.

Don't stay in the sunset area. Its horrible for night-gaming and taxi fares add up.

Oh and live near major bus-routes/easy to get to from BART (not very hard in SF). That way girls can come to you. I spend 2-3 hrs on a date (including bang) and then send them off. Plus they can drink freely because they wont drive. Its A+ logistics.

WIA- For most of men, our time being masters of our own fate, kings in our own castles is short. Even those of us in the game will eventually succumb to ease of servitude rather than deal with the malaise of solitude

Anyone have any tips or stories about "hacking" rent prices in SF? Every time I come through here I'm tempted to spend a month or so in the city, as I've never lived in an American city. How cheap can you really go if you're not very picky?

Right now I'm in Santa Rosa, where I've got a free room for however long and whenever I want, but it's at an older, conservative lady's house (a family friend). She's laid back and non-judgemental but I wouldn't feel right taking a chick back here for a bang. lol

Always nice to use the place when passing through though.

Even moreso than the cost, as I could probably pick up some additional freelancing clients by networking in the city, I'm scared off by the house-hunting competition. My credit is fucked and I have no rental history for the last 5 years. Not to mention many landlords are iffy about freelance income.

For a stay of a couple months, it doesn't seem worth all that trouble I'd go through to lock down some digs.

Maybe temp room with roommates through Craigslist?

location is very important, but is is not everything. Try to find your niche, whatever that might be (college girls, migrants, cougars, hipsters, etc)

If i was to leave london today and go visit Leeds or Nottingham for few days, im sure i will be banging girls that here in London wont even give me their numbers. Im specifically talking blonde white chicks with really nice bodies (latina type of body). These girls hardly ever see good looking black men. However in London, im not really a novelty. There are thousands of guys just like myself here and they approach a lot (not as much as NY cats). Also, London is way bigger, more crimes, more competition, people wont trust you easily, all these factors contribute to high bitch shields. This all changes when i go to other cities, i fuck chicks that i dont even fuck in London. And guess what, that rings true for every G that i have ever run with.

If i have to put triple work to fuck lots of quality girls in one city, i may just get a fuckbuddy and relax. This is what im currently doing in London. I prefer to put hard work for other cities where i know i will be fucking super girls.

Location is very very very important. Its almost everything.

So true. I gotta cosign on this. Also, a lot of people try to make it seem like your game just sucks when you're in a location from hell. I had to hear it for years living in east Germany, that my game just wasn't good enough. That the only reason I wasn't banging the girls I liked was because I sucked so bad. Of course I'd go 2 hours west with the same game, same clothes and haircut, everything...and pull like mad. They couldn't explain that. I'd like to hear more about Nottingham and Leeds for black dudes. Do you have a datasheet for those places?

Location is extremely important. You do not want to be in a town or small city. You need a large city that has a high turnover of women. You need to travel to and spend some time in cities you are thinking about moving to. You'll find one you like that fits your personality. I did this before I moved to my current city.

Maybe temp room with roommates through Craigslist?

North Beach- 4 bedroom/ 3bath- my buddy rented out a small room for 1.2k. Shared bathroom. Craigslist. Decent, young proffesionals.

Pacific Heights- 2000 post (1 of the more expensive buildings) 1.8k/month for a private room/bathroom. 2bdr/2bath.

Fillmore tower- (Fillmore and Geary)- about 1.3k/month split two-ways for a 2bdr/2bath.

Upper pacific heights studios- (1 year contract)- 1.5k/month.

If you get a living room, you can get to about 600/month. But honestly why???? Just shell out the little extra and sleep/bang in peace. Right around a thousand dollars to 1.5k is about the sweetspot.

These are all do-able deals. Craigslist is the best way in SF. I heard a crazy statistic that SF is 50% singles. Lots of ppl shacking up w/room-mates. It is very very common.

Def. stay in SF. Its fantastic. My favorite city in CA. Amazing food, culture, scenary. White local women are kind of mehhh here. V. sexy asian girls and lots of tourists/ semi-tourists (my boy picked up 3 swedish au-pairs w from a taco shop in Pacific Heights aged 18,19, 22- primely aged beef)

Financial considerations are important, but dont skimp on your logistics. Cant say this enough. Cheap housing = expensive cabs and difficulty of pulling. It really balances out if you go out a lot. Plus girls feel comfortable when they know they can get home from your place w/out needing to pull magic tricks to get cabs. seriously.

So where is that magical place where ratios in clubs are decent? I am sick and tired of going out and end up in places with 2-3 girls and 25 guys!

Maybe I exaggerated a bit but I only counted girls under 25 or hot women over 25. There are about 25 guys to 10 average looking women/half of them are older 40+. Anyway, this is why I don't go out to bars any more.
Where I live ( US, Arizona) women act accordingly. Only yesterday I overheard one saying to another that she hates guys who only text her once a week as she has dozens of guys asking her out to dinner every day. Now these are not even good looking women.
College area is a bit better but I am in my 30's...

You gotta choose a location that inspires you. Sometimes, we run out of inspiration in a certain city. Time to move on.

That's the one thing I forgot to mention in my original "Fishbowl" post. Inspiration! Location effects inspiration.

I like the girls from Marin all the way up thru Willits. Willits has some cuties in my opinion. Of course, if I lived there for a year I would be complaining about how I missed the city.

SF is expensive. You have to have a good job or you have to have roommates. I got lucky and bought a condo for less then 175k in 2009 at the bottom of the real estate market.

I bought around the same time newspapers were saying there was going to be a worldwide financial collapse. Perfect timing! (I hope)

It's on the the edge of the city and not in the greatest area but it's cheap and it works for me.

If this was New York, I would be living in Brooklyn.

I am fascinated by these girls. I see them around occasionally. I sometimes try to talk to them but I'm afraid that I might get myself or them in trouble? I wonder if they think about banging a guy from outside of their culture. I wonder if living in a sexually repressive culture makes them more curious about sexuality?

I think I know the answer.

I have known some beautiful Middle Eastern women.

I wanna pull one of these girls. That would be a hell of a story!

Anyone?

RE: How much of success with game is location dependent?
What are the three most important factors in just about any reality-based endeavor? That's right: LOCATION, LOCATION, and LOCATION.

Crops won't grow in the desert. Liquor won't sell in Amish country. You won't get laid (well, or with frequency) in your town.

Many guys believe that we should be able to succeed no matter what environment we are in. That we are not real men if we don't, that we are loosers if we go to greener pastures, that we just are just not working hard enough.

This is bullshit, told to us by those that have only known hard work, little success, and even less courage.

It's not those that work hardest that succeed. It's those that face the biggest fears.

Who works 'harder': the chef at your local hole-in-the-wall Chinese place, or gManifesto? Who reaps bigger rewards in life?

It's easy, comfortable, and safe to 'work your ass off' doing what you already know in a shitty, familiar place. It's much scarier, though actually far easier, to do something different in an unfamiliar setting.

Since the dawn of time brave men have sought their fortune by leaving home and seeking opportunity elsewhere. The timid ones stayed where they were, and accepted their fates. Travel, change, and willingness to brave the unknown for vast rewards is what historically separated the men from the boys.

Is it any surprise that so many women prefer the company of intrepid, fascinating explorers over their own kin?

Personal courage is the root of all attractive male traits: confidence, nonchalance, indifference to outcome, abundance mentality, freedom of though, accumulation of real experience, and much more.

It takes a whole lot of personal courage to ignore the naysayers around you, give up the safe and comfortable, and change your location and your circumstances. Luckily, It doesn't take much else: you don't need to be rich, or handsome, or connected, or brilliant.

You just need to have balls.

RE: How much of success with game is location dependent?

Crops won't grow in the desert. Liquor won't sell in Amish country. You won't get laid (well, or with frequency) in your town.

Many guys believe that we should be able to succeed no matter what environment we are in. That we are not real men if we don't, that we are loosers if we go to greener pastures, that we just are just not working hard enough.

This is bullshit, told to us by those that have only known hard work, little success, and even less courage.

It's not those that work hardest that succeed. It's those that face the biggest fears.

RE: How much of success with game is location dependent?
(09-29-2011 06:53 PM)OGNorCal707 Wrote:  Okay guys, this post may digress into a bit of a rant, but I'm curious to hear more advanced players take on things.

Simply put, how much of your success with gaming women is dependent on your location, in other words have you reached a level of game where you can go virtually anywhere and pull quality consistently?

Now the rant part, I ask this because I live in a small college town, where I am becoming increasing frustrated with not only the quality of women, but also their availability, attitudes, etc.

I know, a college town sounds like a goldmine, and I am not going to deny that there are some cute girls around, but this isn't southern cali or even the bay area, there are virtually no women in the 9-10 range, the average women in the 18-32 demographic would probably rank in the 4-5 range.

What's possibly even worse, is that most cute girls tend to get locked up by dudes in long term relationships, and either are faithful or act like self-entitled bitches and cheat on their BF's. The girls that remain largely in the 5-7 range act like they're the hottest shit, and you have this phenomenon where girls who are 6's literally act like they are 9's.

Hypergamy (girls trying to be players and "date up") is in full effect. This town/county is full of thirsty dudes, simply due to the lack of quality, attractive females, the single women out there act like they're celebrities or some shit, because they can pick and choose from a long line of thirsty dudes that will give them all the attention and validation they could ever possibly want.

So I'm left trying to game in the trenches, going to bars where there are 4 to 1 guys to girls ratios, dealing with fat ugly cockblocking friends, girls who are 6's but think they are Kim Kardashians long lost twin.

I'd like to think my game is pretty good, I've had a decent bit of success, I've read shit tons of books/stuff online, got the theory, and the mechanics of it all down. Most of my approaches hook and it's like every weekend I collect phone numbers and makeouts, but usually it either leads to blueballs, or girls that flake, or tell me they have a serious BF after the fact.

I'm starting to question if it's all just me, and I'm not a decent as I think I am, or if it really is just my location and environment.

I know Roosh has a bit of a chip on his shoulder for having to "carry the encyclopedia of game on his shoulders just to hook up with 7's", but at least he was in a city of a half million people with hundreds of venues to run through.

Eventually, I'll need to end this chapter of my life, and start a new somewhere like San Francisco, Portland, Austin, or LA, and then I think I will really find out where my games at.

Have you considered Florida?

For starters, we have a beach that stays warm year round, plenty of international girls(especially Latinas), close proximity to South America, Europe, The Dirty South, and other fun locations.

We have the crazy night life of Miami and Orlando, some of the best college towns in the country, and the women here are attractive and slutty.

Cheaper cost of living than California, no state income tax.

Sex is everywhere. I recently read an article about a notorious swingers club and wasn't surprised it was located in Fort Myers. Teenagers fucking each other in front of everyone at a restaurant in Orlando. People fucking each other on the beach in Miami. Yeah, we are about that life.

And everyone knows about our female teachers having issues with ignoring teenage dicks.

There are some draw backs though

Superficial culture:I had to change my personality considerably when I moved back here (from intellectual, artistic, literary, political conscious cat to comedian, writer, blogger, beach bum, dance/bar/club kind of guy).

You have to leave your intellectual side at the door.

Talking about fashion, pop culture, the Gators, the Noles, the Heat, the Bucs, breast implants, cock rings, Apple products, partying, drinking, drugs, and money is all thumbs up. Talking about how much you enjoyed The Sound And The Fury and its complex discussion on white and black race relations in the Old South will get you looks of befuddlement.

Low Wages:Our wages suck. I mean, they really suck. If you are a skilled worker good luck. Things are a little better as a white collar worker but still not as good as many places out of state.

Economy sucks:Jobs are scarce. Be prepared to grind it out in the food and service, customer service, and sales industry if you can’t find a job in your chosen field.

Conservative Politics:There are progressive elements in South Florida, counties surrounding Tallahassee, Orange county(Orlando), and Alachua county (Gainesville),but I consider Florida a conservative state politics wise (We have Republican control of the governorship and state legislature for starters). Our “liberal” is mostly NY/NJ liberal. We are a FAR cry from the counter culture, super democratic majority of California. That is for sure.

Weed:Weed laws are much more draconian in Florida than California. I wouldn’t even think of smoking in public or carrying the stuff in my car or in my pockets. Also, our grade is not nearly as good as the shit they give cancer patients in SoCal but you knew that.
Not that I smoke or do drugs but I heard plenty of testimony.

Drug addiction is very high:It is sad to know so many people in Florida are junkies, recovering junkies, or on the way to being junkies. One thing you will learn about being here is the power of Oxycodone.

Everyone who is fucked up in America moves here:From Ted Bundy to Casey Anthony. We attract the most emotionally and psychologically broken people in the United States. You have to be on guard with what you say and who you hang out with.

Which city to set up camp is largely dependent on your tastes. Miami has a great night life, tourists, international feel, beautiful women, and easy access to South America. Orlando has a lot of young women, great night life, and lots of tourists. Tampa has the best beaches in Florida, a decent night life, tourists, and a shit ton of strip clubs.

However, Miami drives me nuts with the attitudes of the people there, the traffic, and the overall ghetto ratchetness and latino fuckery that is all over the city. Orlando is probably the best place to get laid in terms easiness and access to young girls but no beach. Tampa’s night life can’t compare to Orlando or Miami, the demographics are very monolithic (compared to South Florida), and it is still by and large a retirement community (lots of old people, cougars). You have to make an effort to find the college town feel for sure (North Tampa has USF. South Tampa has the young professional crowd).

Overall, I would recommend Miami for the fast night life, easy access to international travel, highly attractive women, and the feeling of being in a “foreign” country.

If you can’t stand the ghetto ratchetness and latino fuckery in Miami move to Tampa. Tampa has the most sluts despite all the old foggies and Orlando is not that far away (hour drive with a bit of a lead foot). Escaping Trampa for Disneyland isn’t a problem at all.

Could add more but short on time.

Homebase: Orlando, FL.
