I was just there in January. Great town. It had changed a lot since my first visit in 2005, but still very cool with a bohemian feel. Visit the Kazimierz district for the student bars.

Sorry but I don't like Krakow and I don't remember any good, worthy recommendation places. It's a huge university city. Easily the highest number of nerdy and intellectual girls per capita of all Eastern Europe. It's too touristy and there's to many foreigners. Over 150 hostels. Too medieval-looking for my taste. I've only visited krakow and warsaw in poland

noticed that the girls in krakow are hotter than the ones in Warsaw but more distant. the ones in warsaw speak better english and are more approachable.

I am also heading to Warsaw and Bialystok. It seems like the rule of thumb is to steer clear of touristy areas. Wroclaw seems like it might be fun as well, since it's a big university town.

Local guys fear those girls cause they seem so unapproachable. Trust me on this one, approach the most sexiest looking girls on the streets!!! Bigger chances then with say 6's or 7's. I've been to both cities and can't disagree more with this. Berlin is much cheaper than Munich and more than twice as large. There's so much to do in Berlin, I really can't imagine enjoy Munich more. I'd recommend Berlin over Munich any day.

I was in Katowice in January and thought it was an absolute dump. I took a quick tour around the city for about an hour (I was transferring trains) and honestly couldn't wait to leave. I wouldn't want to spend more than a few minutes there, personally.

Yep also been to both. If you want to party I would definitely choose Berlin over Munich (I´ve never been to Oktoberfest). Hard to decide on quality of girls though.

Just got back from Poland, some facts:

- Girls are absolutely stunning and classy. It´s been a while since I´ve looked deep into a girls eyes and became speechless. That happened to me twice in Krakow.

- Katowice have way better looking girls than krakow, but the city is ugly.

- Architecturaly speaking Krakow is nice but Prague is better.

- Beacuse of the plane crash which lead to to the death of the polish president and more political and social elite, all clubs were closed or empty during the week due to the mouning, this meant I could only go out monday when the mourning was over;

- Poland is my new Czech Republic. Saw too many Czech girls with sabrina shooes instead of high heels. Well it had to happen some day (fucking hollywood movies...).

- Don´t go to Ostrava it´s ruined. The city is a dump, if you take away the girls it´s pointless to go there.

- Went to the biggest dump somebody can call club in Krakow, the name: Kitsch.

- I like more blond girls than brunnetes;

- Homeless people die in the winter due to the cold now it was great weather;

- Cheap hostels to stay in Krakow: The Giraffe and Goodbye Lenine. I stayed in the first one. It´s definitely a party hostel pumping sound till midnight, but i´m feeling my time in hostels as reached an end;

- There´s a large community of portuguese people, normally guys who fell in love with a polish babe in Poland;

- You should not pass alone in the night by a park near the town center in Krakow. I´ve passed, but I´m an idiot.

- From what a portuguese dude I met on a train ride from Katowice to Krakow told us Polish use the living room as the master bedroom. Maybe Chriss can confirm this one.

- Crossed Europe with three friends and three more polish dudes. They were great people. They are truely genuine, kinda reminded me my childhood friends in Paris.

- I´ve bought a ticket to go with a friend to Oslo in June. I´m thinking in canceling it to go to Poland.

- I´m will start sending CV´s to Poland to stay there for at least two or three years. If anyone as some links please let me know.

For serious with the moving and getting job thing? What kind of work would you like to do? I see you really got enchanted ha. Glad you liked it, even though you were unfortunate to be there during this tragic mourning period, and the fact that you visited two very uninteresting cities. I recommend next time you hit the beaches to get a more real pretty image of the girls. I always think its best to have friends somewhere. They can show you the night spots and cooler places to be where you will have an overall better time. Also, normally that is a good lee way into meeting his/her girlfriends. Some foreign girls might be a little shy to the stranger at first, but if you have a friend's endorsement that goes a long way.

Make friends there or go somewhere that you already have a friend. It makes things much smoother.

I would really recommend Tallinn in Estonia.

Quality has dropped in Stodolni. Had to happen some day, I will start going to the 4 city in Czech Rep. Still there´s gems if you look for it.
About hostels/hotels look for anything in Stodolni. There´s Hotel Brioni, Ruby blue. If you don´t find anything available there´s a hostel near Stodolni, under a bridge/road something like 10 euros/day. IT´S A COMPLETE DUMP, smells like chinese food. But it´s one street away from Stodolni. There are no apartments to rent from what I know.

Czech Republic : much higher percentage of fatty chicks than all the other eastern/central europeen countries I've been to. I guess that goes hand in hand with westernization. To clarify the only reason to go to Ostrava : the 3-4 blocks area of bars mostly located on Stodolni street. It's no secret this is the place to party, even folks from Poland go there. I met some Spaniards, this was their 5th visit here in two years. It reminded me of going out in the US/Canada/UK, many of the shithole places I've been hangin in lately dont have this type of strip. Stayed Tuesday and Wednesday, place was empty. On the last night there was a majales student festival 30 minutes away from the center and it saved this portion of my trip.

The woman working there didn't speak english, I ended up booking a room elsewhere anyway, I didn't have the pleasure to dangle my genitals at her. Half decent hotels on the Stodolni are 30+ euros after negotiation.

Poland, Krakow + Katovice : Holy christ, where have you been all my life? Seriously I've never been eye fucked so much, girls staring me down, smiling, inviting me to open; I had to oblige. And Im no newby traveller. Easy as pie day game. Yeah Ukrainian girls are prettier, so what? Im lazy now and tired of bridging cultural gaps (argentina and balkans).
