Alcohol had a profound effect on me back then.

In middle school I used to rip my jeans to try to look like some kind of rock 'n' roll star. I couldn't afford Abercrombie so I'd just DIY it.

That wasn't so bad, but what was lame is I would take the excess denim and make bracelets out of them, using safety pins and studs to make them look something like this (but much shittier):



To make things worse, I used to make bracelets and give them to girls as signs of affection. Incredibly beta.

I wore an Abercrombie (back when it was on it's way out of "cool land") belt buckle, boot cut jeans, polo shirts and Birkenstocks. My hair was like a shaggier version of Justin Bieber's haircut from back when he was younger.

All the girls gave me shit for it. And somehow, all the girls still loved me because I wore it all with pride.

The disillusionment comes from the fact that I actually thought it was cool lol. Good times.

My friends and I used to go around and throw ice waters at people. This was back when you could roll through a drive through. Ask for 5 medium iced waters(best size for throwing) and get them without paying or ordering anything else.

Our biggest target was prostitutes. We would always hold money out the window and call them over. "Bam" then drive off. Feel like a real dick for doing that now.

Made mix CDs for girls.

One later ended up marrying one of my best friends. This was after she spent a year of high school blowing or giving handies to most of the guys in our circle of friends but not him (she was the first girl to touch my penis, in fact). Funny thing is he easily could have hooked up with her too but was too busy being faithful to another girl who wasn't nearly as attractive. They reconnected about 6 years after high school and only started dating then.

They're still married and have 5 kids. To this day I have no idea if he remembers all of that and doesn't care or if he legitimately forgot about it and I'm not about to ask. Dude is still one of my best friends in the world, I would trust him with my life, but no way in hell am I ever bringing that topic up so long as we live.

My friends and I used to go roller skating almost every week, sometimes twice on weekends. They had old timey organ music for the early session, then Disco Skating from 10-midnight!

Good times. I used to ask as many girls to skate with me as possible, but I was too lame to follow up and go for the make out or bang. I did get to hold hands with them for the length of a song, so that was pretty hot!

The whole skating thing wasn't lame. It was popular then, and there were a lot of other teens in a fun setting. However, going for the skate close and then failing to escalate was definitely lame.

Definitely the hip hop fashion and culture. Trying to be extra cool and "act black" but being the whitest guy around. The rock in the ear, big chain worth 10 dollars and the oversized clothes. God and I thought I was the coolest cat on earth. Hahaha
But I was positively surprised when I found back my old CD collection with some really old time classics in it. Guess my music taste was alright. Maybe a little ahead of time for Germany back then.

I dropped out of a free, state-of-the-art, tech-focused honors high school to go back to my shitty public school because "it was gay" and only nerdfags were good at computers. Only a few kids from every town in my county were accepted there, most of whom are now super successful. However, going to the smart high school caused me to be late to practice every day for my public highschool's 0-20 basketball team, and I was 100% convinced this was the reason I wasn't getting any playing time. Varsity ball was of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE.

I ended up quitting the team my senior year anyway.

Mine didn't even have a snaggletooth. Just flat, boring brown hair and a plain face on top of a body that was legit something out of an anime. But for some reason back then it was all about the face.
