Enough with the height questions all the time. Can't we all agree that women loves CONFIDENCE more than anything? Height is only a problem if you make it one. So what if some girls reject you because of your height, find somebody else. Doesn't matter where you are, confidence + game is universal.

I agree it's delusional to deny the value of height but it's equally bad to be insecure and think it's always going to be a deal breaker. Often it's more a matter of convincing her you're okay and confident with the discrepancy.

Some percentage of women will always consider it a deal break if you're shorter and they probably shoot for a guy at least a few inches taller so they can wear heels. That said, there are plenty of women capable of respecting a shorter man if she perceives him as attractive. Quite a few are probably okay with equal height or just slightly taller so it's not all doom and gloom if you're pretty short.

You're from Australia right? If you are 6' even then you are taller than 84% of your fellow country men, just shy of one full standard deviation above the norm. If you think being tall is the only way to have women look up to you there is nothing further I could say. This thread is way beyond depressing. Being short is a disadvantage socially and in the business world. It is however, not a disadvantage that can't be overcome. The guy next to you that is a foot taller than you may have deficiencies that go far beyond a short man's lack of height.

I'm reading from all these guys on this thread that "game" and "confidence" will solve your height deficiency and your insecurities about your height.

It's funny to read these comments because almost all of these guys, if they were in your shoes, would probably be insecure as well. They just don't know what it's like to be 5'5'' because they've never experienced it.

I myself grew up with a facial deformity (not really really bad, but still very noticeable) and had all of these guys telling me about how being "confident" would solve all my problems - and that really did do well for me - I upped my game, confidence, and everything and did end up banging a decent amount of chicks - so I'm not saying that game and confidence doesn't matter because they are definitely good traits to have and have led me to bangs

But it was an insanely hard battle for me (way harder than my friends who went out with me) and there were many, many times where I got rejected right off the bat because of my deficiency/deformity.

The truth is that in many large cities there are many good-looking dudes that have great game, tight social circles, and much more. Especially in the nordic countries, where almost all dudes are above 6 feet. So it's going to be a tough battle, especially if something like height is concerned. You'll need perseverance.

Here's my advice for OP:

My advice for OP is: to maximize both his game (which has already been said on this thread) and maximize his looks, which would be height in this case. Like I said in posts before - wear boots with heels, wear insoles in your shoes to add inches, grow out your hair and make it puffy to add some more height, etc etc. If you can fix something for cheap, why not do it?

In regards to your gaming strategy: focus on social circle game and being the leader of men. That will make you seem alpha to women around you and offset the fact that you are short

With all that being said, Adding a few inches to your height (along with game) will make you a strong contender in any place in the world (except maybe for your very tall Swedish blondes , but hey, that's only like 1% of the world's population ) There's literally millions of good looking, average height blondes - don't be so damn picky!

There are other creative ways to achieve the unexpected, but they're not easy methods and they have to come naturally. I live here in St. Petersburg, Russia and I've been very surprised by how many short, busted Russian guys have acceptable and even above average+ girlfriends. Pretty much in all cases they demonstrate confidence bordering on cockiness. So I agree with what the others have mentioned before, do what you need to do to make yourself more confident (elevator shoes, get in shape, dress better, etc.) rather than focusing on "will the women think I'm tall enough?"

It's as simple as this: there might be a lot of women out there who will reject a short guy, and there are certainly plenty who will at least reject him at first impulse. But I'd bet money there are a LOT more women who will reject a short guy who is insecure about it.

Moving on, OP, it seems you're making life tougher on yourself with your "preference" for tall blondes. You know what that really is? A manifestation of your insecurity for being short.

You feel they're unobtainable to you. You feel like there's some need to "prove yourself" by being with women who are supposedly out of your field of options.

On the surface level, it'd be easy to say that it's great to challenge yourself and push for higher limits. In this case, however, I'd say it's just a self-defeating desire. There's no reason to find taller women more attractive and focus on exclusively obtaining them like some kind of achievement other than the fact that pop culture deems taller women more attractive.

I mean, you want to go to Europe and compete on height at 5'5? Come on, man. A tall guy could go to Europe and feel short.

But don't aim for some magical game level where taller women will "forget your height." As for dating a woman a good deal taller than me, well, I really just don't get the appeal at all. I've done it, but it certainly wouldn't be a first choice.

And given that women are naturally smaller than men, it makes sense to me that men would be naturally drawn to women smaller than them; therefore, your desire strikes me as artificial and misguided to begin with.

There are plenty of hot little broads out there your size or shorter. So in my mind, any idea you might have that you're settling somehow by not enjoying the hell out of them is very likely just due to feelings of inadequacy related to your own height.

I used to be roomates with this guy who was born with one normal arm and one tiny deformed and twisted little arm with three fingers on it. Guy was driven to be better and better at sports - not just as good as everyone else but better.

He did it, against all odds. He murdered it on the baseball field. He played football for a while and excelled at catching the ball and running for the touchdown. I couldn't hold a candle to him on the pool tables. He set the 3-point record at his high school for basketball, a record I believe still stands to this day; played basketball in college; and now makes a living as a hugely inspirational basketball coach for an organization that runs camps all over the world. When he's not fucking it up with his drinking, anyways...

The guy was a beast. Athletically gifted and charismatic and more talented at just about anything than most people you will come across. But since his desire came from a place of insecurity, none of it made him feel better. He became an alcoholic and would go into these really negative states when drunk.

I remember one night he picked up a knife and started cutting his little arm, crying and whining about how he could be a pro basketball player if he had two arms.

I had to slap him upside the head and yank the knife out of his hand and remind him that he probably wouldn't be half the athlete as he is if he had two arms because it was the arm that drove him in the first place.

He had the same issues with game - success with women ws not good enough because only perfection would make him feel better about himself, and perfection is impossible. He pulled a lot of hot tail - the most beautiful women around - but he always ended up fucking it up with some insecure fit.

To this day, he can't really hold down a relationship because in the end he just doesn't feel good enough due to his arm - never mind the fact that these women are dating him, fucking him, and falling in love with him. He can't let the insecurity go.

Me and this guy were like brothers in my late teens and early twenties. Inseparable. Constantly out chasing pussy and partying together and pushing ourselves to better. But he was so competitive about girls that he was always cock-blocking and hating on me behind my back - due to this and other selfish behavior on his part I eventually left him behind. He couldn't just be my running partner or be as good as me with women; he had to somehow find an edge and be "better" than everyone else, something his insecurities would never allow him to accomplish.

He ended up getting wasted one day and got in a car accident with his daughter in the car. They were both injured, and he almost killed the person in the other car - he did five years in jail, and now he's out slipping back into the party life again.

My point? When your desires are born out of insecurity, you create a mental block for yourself that success will not solve.

Heed the practical advice in this thread to increase your range of options or just make yourself feel better. But I'd also read up on some cognitive behavioral therapy and let this shit go.

It's one thing to have a certain taste in what kind of woman you want to date; however, you should examine your real reasons for getting all hung up on an unnecessary endeavor that may be dragging you down for no reason and consider whether defeating this challenge is really worth the effort and mental energy. Meanwhile, if those sexy and short little units aren't doing it for you, feel free to send them my way, and I'll forward any sasquatch bitches I come across over to you.

The "average" Australian male might be 5ft 9, but that includes the whole population. For under 30s only its higher. For white people its higher. For middle class people its higher. For people who're involved in sports its significantly higher. And they're the demographics you're going to run into at good parties/nightclubs. I'm 6' even as well, and never felt tall in Australia in environments full of young middle class white people. Adrenaline is right in that 6ft is not short or tall there, its very much about average.

Do you guys think limb lengthening/height surgery would be worth it? Many people complain about height and with advancements in science it is becoming easier to get some height added. Right now height surgery can give you like an extra 4 inches without putting you at to much risk of complications. What height do you think it's recommended to get height surgery? Like a 5'6 could become 5'10. Or a 5'8 guy could become 6'0.

Why are you so opposed to someone becoming taller? Science is getting better so the chance of complications is always going down and the benefit and potential height gain is always increasing. If a guy has sub optimal height and he wasn't happy with it and he could change it there is no reason not to do it. That "be happy how you are thing" is kind of dumb when you can give yourself an easy gain.
