The post apocalypse look of the area around the throne looking out to the white sky and the shot of it dripping over the landing was fantastic, seeing the throne being melted and also by a dragon type that once made it, something that must have seen so permanent, impossible to destroy. That was easily the most satisfying part of the season. And the music as always.

A lot of great melancholy, as they take her body away too, off to Valyria possibly? I liked those mythic elements.

The worst parts were when she started to regress to fleeing helpless girl whenever the plot needed it.

Would the hero from Assassin Creed go run around in fear after getting a bump in the head? Would he have turned and ran through the streets like a chicken with the other people?

Would Tywin Lannister have cried in his final moments like Cersei - the supposed big villain?

Roosh is certainly correct with his time-wasting article.

One guy I know said that he does not watch shows until they are finished. The reason is because he waits and sees whether the show does not deteriorate into an insane mess that makes no sense and he feels as if he has just wasted his time on bullshit. Plus - even if it's worse than expected as with this show, then it's less of an emotional impact since you just followed it over some 2-3 weeks.

Breaking Bad for example would have merited the full watch while Lost was a total waste of time. Game of Thrones was a mixed bag, but ultimately not worth the watch. And mind you - this 37% rating at Rotten Tomatoes will severely impact the future of the franchise.

The first prequel is supposed to be about the first Long Night with the White Walkers. It should answer all the questions about big evil. But how can you take this seriously when you know that the big evil bad gets taken out like a chump by one girl screaming like a banshee behind him, his entire armies being meaningless? Add to it that they enter more feminism and diversity in the cast because somehow Westeros of 5000 years ago was more feminist and more diverse.

I agree. Prequel about White Walkers would have made sense if they actually had been the threat they were made out to be, where the throne talk was secondary.

The fucking slogan of the show was "winter is coming".

Now it's like making a prequel about the first guy who gets killed in a Friday the 13th film.

Another point that people miss is that all the great movie artists are picked apart in classes for decades to come.

The works of Alfred Hitchcock, Ridley Scott, Spielberg, Kubrick - even Vince Gilligan (Breaking Bad) - they are picked apart, sources are searched of what the director/writer thought when making this or that creative decision. They look at every little facet.

That is why what this Youtuber was doing for years picking apart Game of Thrones is nothing special since this is bread and butter in academia (yes - movies do have an academia world as people want to repeat what Kubrick and Hitchcock managed to do.)





No one will want to repeat what D&D did. Their decision making processes are batshit insane and incompetent. What often helps those underperforming creators here and Rian Johnson is frankly the masterful visual department, the excellent actors, casting as well as the huge budgets. So they have all this going for them while doing dumb as rocks story-points. And in the end due to the scenery and acting, it seems as if it's good because they throw more money at it than at anything comparable or have a strong franchise.

But obviously those works never last the test of time. In this case even more details will emerge later where the production crew will spill the beans, will say how insane the process was. Thus series like Lost are utterly forgotten despite a strong start.

Edit - there are a myriad of cool satisfying endings that are awesome.

Imagine this:

Jon kills Dany and Drogon directs the fire at him only burning his clothes. Meanwhile the Unsullied and Dothraki realize that something is wrong and are storming the castle, finding out what Jon has done. Jon then jumps on the dragon rises above them and says:

"I am Aegon Targaeryan, son of ...... Yes - the queen is dead, because she slaughtered tens of thousands of innocent women and children. I order you to stay down, mourn the queen and then leave Westeros for the lands that your queen has conquered in Essos."

Obviously a few behave unruly and Aegon Targaeryan burns them while the rest bends the knee. Keep in mind that the Unsullied almost killed him for wanting to defend surrendered Lannisters - you telling me that they would just arrest Jon Snow for killing their divine queen?

Then you go back in time when Jon Snow talked with Aemon Targaeryan - the maester who was a good man, but abdicated the throne. From what I understood Aemon was even the grandfather of Jon Snow. If Aemon had taken the throne, then everything would have been fine. Jon is not going to repeat the error of his grandfather, but rather rule justly prefering not risk the takeover of more evil men.

And who cares if Martin would have written 10 years later that Dany got crazy and Bran was crowned king. Everyone would think that this ending was better.

Last episode I was under the impression that the whole cellar collapsed over Jaime`s and Cersei`s heads giving them no chance to escape. Now Tyrion finds them buried under a small pile of stones and rubble. It literally makes it look like stepping aside a few steps could have easily saved their lives.

Its small stupid details like this everyone started to notice. This show has just gotten lazy as fuck in recent seasons.

I was under the impression the whole damn castle collapsed on them and turned them to mush. Millions of tonnes of solid brick.
