Banning is not the answer. It allows people to TAKE information without CONTRIBUTING.

Suspensions and post removal is a better idea. Bad behavior is usually grown out of.

We were all newbies once so I think we should have a little more patience with them until they get going in the right direction. Plus teaching them sharpens our own knowledge.

It has been very interesting and fun watching this forum grow, an influx of trolls is a common growing pain from what I've seen on other sites.

So, while Roosh has made no mention of wanting assistance in the form of an additional moderator, I must agree that Tuth would make an excellent choice, if needed.

I also agree with Velkrum, that banning is not the best answer (except for in the case of blatant trolls), but locking up/moving the threads that add little value is definitely beneficial. The last thing we want is new, and potentially inexperienced, members getting the wrong idea from someone who shouldn't be giving advice quite yet.

There has definitely been an marked increase in low-quality threads (mostly started by newbies), for sure. I mean is there really only about 50-100 people in the USA (and around the world) who like sharing information often about traveling and banging hot girls?

i actually had to google what a troll was once this thread was started. why not charge a nominal fee to users until they have say 2 or 3 rep points? this creates a barrier to entry for random trolls who want to spew garbage on the forum or just hate. others would want to contribute useful information or sarge with members so they can get their rep points. it would really separate the people who value this site as opposed to others who can flippantly log in and be disrespectful. and, it would cover some of the costs of running this site ad-free

i have intermediate game and continue to try and develop my tradecraft. but, if i'm really looking for valuable information and advice, what's a couple of bucks a month until i earn my rep points. if you can't afford a nominal charge than either you have no shot of taking a chick on a date or you have such mad game that chicks always pay for you, in which case you'll have your rep points quickly.

i for one enjoy the members insight on this forum not only for the game advice, but general life advice as well. a lot of knowledgeable and level headed peeps on here that take the time to provide well thought out responses.

There are very few. The travel threads get a lot of views, but not many act on it. I have been in Poznan for 5 months, and I can say that only 4 guys have been here because of my hype, which I broadcasted to a much wider audience on my blog and Twitter. This is why I laugh when guys hide information because they are scared the forum will "ruin" a spot. Even Ukraine, which is the hottest place on the forum right now, has received less than 10 visits in the past 6 months from guys who post here. I'm actually disappointed the forum has less "power" than it does. In the end, not many guys can just get up and fly somewhere for an extended period of time, especially in a down economy, which is why travel game will always be a tiny niche.

I can not believe more guys are not travel / exotic women freaks! I mean any search of Brazil or Colombia ect will direct a person to this site.

If this is all there is I truly feel sorry for all the dudes out there missing out, and makes me really appreciate my experiences 10 fold.

Those places WILL get more travelers based on this forum. I don't think that occurs from each individual reading the forum, but rather when those ten guys who DO go from this forum talk to their friends and convince them to go. Then those friends go and tell more people. This forum will have a larger effect, but it may take some time and the results won't be traceable past the first wave of guys. But, one day you will look at Poznan and note "Damn, this place is has really picked up as a travel destination".

I work in an industry w/ a lot of foreign travelers. No matter what you preach to them they seem to fallback on popular destinations. Thailand, Philippines, Budapest, Prague, Dubai, take the top spots. The next tier may venture a little further out, to the OZ, or Colombia, and only 3 hit Romania. I only talked to one guy that goes to China, specifically Shanghai.

I see a trend too with guys that like to be around expats when abroad. A safety net, I guess, or a need for familiarity. We are of a higher mind on the forum to get off the beaten path.

I don't see the forum doing any damage that hasn't been done already in Europe. Easy Jet, Ryanair, and the stag parties have laid to waste once pristine hunting grounds, with horny Italians and Spaniards as their wingmen. Colombia sounds ate up like a soup sammich, and has been for awhile, so I'll pass.

Another factor is that guys want a pseudo guarantee that a spot will be good. So when you're unable to say that poznan, for example, will satisfy him and he'll have a blast, he'll fall back to more popular destinations like Ali mentioned.

Also, Poland is really fucking huge, compared to many Euro countries, and so its unlikely that a guy will go there in the next three decades or so and not find pristine hunting grounds. He will just have to explore towns that are less traveled if and when travel picks up in larger areas.

Yep. It's gonna be a tiny minority of guys who can actually travel to foreign countries for the specific purpose of chasing girls. It takes time and money, which most guys only have one or the other.

There might be a lot of guys reading those threads and dreaming of the "what if I could." But to actually be able to follow through is another story. So I'm not surprised that posting is fairly low, even though interest in reading is high. I'd say 50-100 guys posting is pretty damn good.

Like you said it's the time/money trade off. If you have one you often don't have the other. How is someone on a one week holiday going to make any progress in a city.

I haven't been able to generate an independent income that would make me location independent, but have been able to get reasonable jobs in various countries around the world. It's difficult but not impossible.

I think a lot of guys think you need to be a mult-millionaire or have some sort of internet business to live the traveller lifestyle and don't always realise that you can still do it even if you're a working stiff. You just need to get a job in a different country.

Yes, this is also a good option, especially if you live in a tier one international hub with lots of consulting type gigs where you can realistically work for short periods of time in reasonably/high paying employment.

Work 6 months of the year, travel the other 6 months of the year while renting out your flat/house if applicable. Also, depending on your level of income, nature of income (from employment vs from a business) and the tax struture in your country/region (progressive tax vs flat tax) you might be able to essentially work for 6 months and get a tax refund amounting to almost another whole months income. So, work for 6 months, get paid for 7 months.

I guess, though diagnosing trolling is a subtle thing in and of itself. It's hard to tell for sure if people say what they believe, and what their motivations are for saying it.
