Don't get me wrong - I'd hit this chick like a mad monkey on acid. But it doesn't detract from the fact that the song is completely synthetic/generic, and uninspiring. Which again goes to show that we are passing through the dark age of Western culture. There's nothing here except vapid sexual allures hyped by a bland synth tune. It's got no soul, no spirit, and no future. Just like the entire West. Had this been produced in the 1960s the artist would have been laughed out of the room.

How could it not win?

A fat-acceptance activist who sings about being super-hot while being neither pretty slim nor hot denigrates men and their "expectations". What Eurovision does is to manipulate the results to get the right bands to win. "I am not your toy- you stupid boy" is exactly the new feminazi message. IN reality they like being the toy to the right man.

Hard to believe this was a song that won in 1994 compared to what is now, the talk was that Ireland were winning it so much (this was twice in a row) it was bankrupting the national broadcaster, to host that they decided on these two, as a male duo had never won and it was a low key song, no orchestra, completely acoustic. And then they went and hilariously won, and then Riverdance (the very first time anyone knew they existed) was the half time interval show, and it overshadowed the win itself and took the headlines. Good time to be Irish, I remember it but I was very young, suddenly every young child wanted to go to tap dance lessons.









That Nocturne song is a masterpiece, never heard it before I'm ashamed to say, almost doesn't belong at Eurovision.

Now granted, I'm a mouth-breathing, cheeseburger-gobbling American, but the Eurovision Song Contest has alway struck me as being incredibly gay.
