They were celebrating excessively at the University of Florida and so were escorted off the stage. There is also a rule like this in the NFL.

The college president apologized after the action was described as racist.

Quote:It's a tradition for culturally black sororities and fraternities to "stroll" across the graduation stage and perform their Greek organization's signature dance, but that tradition was interrupted Saturday at the University of Florida by an "aggressive" graduation marshal.

Video footage showed the orange-and-blue clad marshal physically hustling the celebrating students off the graduation stage — at one point bear-hugging a male student and dragging him away. The videos have spread widely on social media, with many critics calling the actions racist.

On Tuesday, the school announced the faculty member serving as a marshal has been placed on paid administrative leave "pending a review of the appropriate administrative steps." He was not identified.

As criticism mounted, UF's President Kent Fuchs apologized on Twitter on Sunday for being "inappropriately aggressive in rushing students across the stage."

These graduation ceremonies take forever, so I'm all in favor of anything to speed up the process. That said, strutting across the stage is the whole reason to show up. The rule should be, you can do whatever dance or move you want (no nudity, of course), but it has to fit within the 10 seconds you have to cross the stage. Anything more and you'll be tackled.

They should do it like churches do. A lot of churches now have a traditional service with hymns, and a contemporary service with christian rock worship music.

Schools can have two graduations, one dignified for people who still like that kind of thing, and one for acting like you're in a Mardi Gras parade.

Everything is racism with an anti-White bent in our times. It's amazing that so many folk insist on wanting to live in the US despite all this.

I went to my brothers graduation and i was clock watching until he got on stage and thought abour outside after he got off .

Looks like he was pushing all races off the stage with varying degrees of force. A couple of the black graduates got more force than others, but some didn't too.

Also looks like he got the job no one wanted.

I bet it was in response to complaints from people attending. Even a high school graduations is tedious to sit through. It would be twice as long if everyone did a touchdown dance.

Every story of alleged racism divides people a little further, because different people perceive them in the exact opposite way.

Liberals: "Racism is everywhere! How could anyone be blind enough not to see it when there are so many examples?!"
