- 100 kg 34 y.o. Russian whale from Urals catfishes Polish businessman for close to 8 million Rubles (a bit over $125,000 USD), providing photos of a young model and portraying a fake life for duration of almost 2 years.

- She met the 51 year old Polish businessman on a dating side and he he's taking to the girl on the right, as she portrayed her as a 28 y.o. with no kids, knowledgeable from the oil and gas business with some connections and she even discussed helping him in a huge multi-million dollar contract.
- The pair spoke in English over the phone, and Lech loved the girl's sexy voice...perhaps he had no idea it's a 100-kg housewife from the Urals.

- "Katya" then wanted to introduce Lech (fake name used here) to her family, but all of a sudden told him she had an accident and needs money. Then told him his mom was ill and had cancer and needed more money. Lech kept sending money, Katya then said his mom is dead.

- Growing dubious why Katya won't meet in person yet, Katya kept saying she wants to leave Russia and live in Poland, but would always postpone a flight and time of meeting over something. Lech finally grew impatient and did a reverse google image search of Katya only to find out, it's not a sweet girl with oil and gas connections in Perm Russia, but rather a model in Ukraine.

- Lech then hired a private detective and found out who this person pretending to be "Katya" is. He then flew to Ekaterinburg to file a police report and found out how his money has been being spent.

- Court has sentenced the whale to 2 years in person, and also having to return the money to the businessman. Lech knows she'll never return the money, but is happy she got 2 years in jail.

Question remains, had this big-shot Polish businessman ever heard of webcams or Skype ? (unless I missed it in the text)

Respect that game. Funny seeing old-school antics like this in the news. There's probably kids out there who paid for expenses in college like this.

Actually it turns out that the average IQ of the millionaire in the West including Poland is roughly 117. If he inherited some land and apartments like many Poles do, then 100.000$ is not that much money for roughly 2-3 mio. Poles.

My guess is that the bloke was not the smartest one on the block who made his cash part via inheritance and partly deals gone right. You don't need to be very smart for that.

And he very likely was no big-shot. That she was able to taunt him with multi-million-dollar business ideas shows that barely made a couple hundreds thousand to 1 mio. $ via luck and action. People in Poland earn little, but there are a ton of businessmen and folk with solid net assets.

After reading through the story:

+ bloke writes it off as experience so 125.000$ is not much of a deal to him
+ second - he is busy in petrol trading - that's a strange remainder of old post-communist businesses that were connected to old commie/party members and the underworld - he is probably one of them - thought that something similar can be managed in Russia via connections (true but very naive)
+ the guy met the aunt who was actually the woman:


People will have a tremendous desire to belief in someone if:
+ money - lots of it is given as an incentive
+ sex and high-quality pussy is dangled in front of a man

This story had both aspects to it - plus the theatrical performance of the aunt was top-notch or sufficient relative to the greed and lust of that guy.

I disagree. Both won.

The woman had a blast for some time and will be out in 1 year while probably having hidden some cash.

And the man is wiser and more Red Pill now. Since it was not that tragic of a sum it means that he is worth more or has a sufficiently high income that it's not so bad to him.
