The soft bigotry of white liberals low expectations of blacks. Underlying the white liberal SJW mentality is that blacks cannot be expected to behave in an orderly and civilized way.

If you’re not buying stuff at a restaurant or coffee shop, they have every right in the world to ask you to leave. Most whites would leave before it escalated to the cops being called. Then when the cops got there, they have another chance to leave before things escalate, most whites would leave before things escalated. In the likely event they didn’t leave and were handcuffed, there’d be no sympathy and in fact, SJWs would call their behavior a display of appalling privilege.

But with blacks - white liberals will not hold them to the same standard because their underlying assumptions are that blacks are not as civilized and rational so we have to be compassionate about their bad behavior.

In Houston, especially around Westheimer, seeing drifters, homeless dudes, hippies living out of backpacks, etc. lounging around in a Starbucks is common to see. Some of them have a coffee some of them do not.

I know everyone is tripping about race these days, but what the fuck is up with that stupid company policy? McDonald's does not do that to people. It's only got attention because of the race factor, but this isn't new. That said, I wish more places would at least act on their rules. Barnes and Noble book stores (not that I go to them much anymore) are a cross between a homeless shelter and a divorced-dads-in-sweatpants club. Neither group buys much of anything but occupies plenty of couch & table space while they snooze or read papers for free.

I've seen people sleeping in DC area Starbucks who smell so bad nobody else goes into that corner of the room.

There's also the liability issue - you let a crazy homeless person sleep there and one day he goes into a ballistic tirade when some purple haired SJW asks if she can borrow a chair. Who do you think loses the resulting lawsuit when she sues for emotional distress? Starbucks. So yeah, they need some kind of a policy but it has to be clear and properly implemented.

But it is very hard to have any sympathy when a leftoid gay rights company that happens to sell coffee gets shivved by one if their own set-aside demographics. To paraphrase CH, here isn't a champagne bottle big enough to assist me in enjoying the celebration of irony.

I saw a show like 15 years ago about a sales guy that was trying to help a sportswear store that was having theft issues. They introduced various leave your bag at the front, only 1 item allowed in the change room policies, and followed customers around, but he still had issues, and then on top of that sales were down. He said his goal was to get theft down to zero, and the guy responded that that was easy, just lock the doors. Sales and theft go together and act in concert. Like gaining muscle at the gym and eating heaps, you will invariably increase fat as well.

The point is that you need to be clear what your goals are. You want to maintain a clean bathroom? The simple solution is to lock it. While charging for the bathroom might seem like a solution, you need to go down the lane of "and then what" several times.

Immediately you're likely to see a drastic drop in bathroom use. And a slight increase is money coming in. You're also likely to piss off a lot of long term customers to the point they piss out side, or even inside under a table on the sly. Flash forward a few weeks. Now people are actively avoiding your shop because it smells like piss out side, and you charge for toilets inside, so sales are way down. On top of this you need to dedicate more staff time to ensure they're spotless, because God help you if I or someone like me pays to use a toilet and its not so sanitary and squared away that the Virgin Mary herself would be proud to go in there and take a dump, because then I'm going to make sure someone earns their money mopping up my piss that will have landed no where near a toilet.

And this is why I find these actions so infuriating. They are not part and parcel of a decent, respectful society that operates for mutual benefit. It's impossible to draw hard lines, but if people are treating your shop like a free clubhouse and staying hours on end every day not buying stuff, fine, you have the nuclear option of calling the cops. Similarly, if you treat customers like shit, they're liable to not shop there, and use their nuclear option of upper decking all your toilets.

It seems there are lots of people here who only see things in black and white. "Staying 5 mins while not buying something is trespassing. These *criminals* are lucky they weren't shot, which would have been perfectly appropriate" Just like people who accuse guys of white knighting when they say that knocking a girl unconscious after she throws a drink might have been excessive.

The point of all this is that as a business, your goal should be to make bottom line profit. Does kicking out a couple loafers who aren't otherwise causing problems accomplish this? Resoundingly no. Even if only 1/20 is telling the truth about waiting for clients, the huge profit margins on sugar water and coffee flavouring more than make up for negligible costs of the other 19.

While they were within their rights, you're similarly within them to cut off your own penis then go get stitched up at taxpayer expense. This situation saw losers on every side except for the ego of the manager. (Guys arrested, cops wasting time, bad press for SBUX) These sorts of lose-lose-lose arrangements are generally easy to foresee, and should be avoided at all costs.

I've been asked to leave places by power-tripping managers.
One time I complained about a busted pipe hotel my girlfriend was staying at and the manager accused me of trespassing and kicked me off the premises, ended up losing 400$ and she had to spend the rest of her trip at my grandmother's.

I thought that guy was just an asshole, but he was a different race than me, so I guess all this time I was discriminated against and I didn't know it!

Damn I'm familiar with person limits for charters but not weight limits. Sounds like you need a better boat but some people these days....

On jetskis thats a huge issue. Might be wrong but a Yamaha ex has a weight limit of 500 lbs (Yamaha fx will flip with multiple people or a fat person on it. Especially if they're kooks from zanezville Ohio. Zanezville Ohioans are often overweight) and I remember having to tactfully deal with fattys because its "up to 3 people per ski" but 2 large Ohioans is easily over the limit.

On the bright side it was an opportunity for me to upsell them on 2 skis. The single ski Ohioan couples usually needed a bunch of convincing just to buy one once they heard the word "deposit".

Only time I saw 2 fat black girls on one ski (they always do large party's and everyone has their own) it turned into a spontaneous crying,couple arguing episode over the ski being unstable. Leading to a beached ski rescue mission,infront of where a fishing charter comes in. I got yelled at by some old dude who works they're in a classic "get off my lawn" way while dealing with those women plus my company jetski almost floating into a piling.

Spontaneous jetski crying ain't no fucking joke. 1000 lbs jetski + 450 lbs of human pushed solo on sand.
