I don't think that she identified as a man as of yet. Her name is just that - she does not seem to have referred to herself as xir and there are too many sexy front-line pics on her site.

When the brother called the cops as he found out that she would drive over to Youtube, then it's certain that she told the family about some rather extreme plans like "I swear that I am going to shoot them all up!".

He knew that she meant business.

Also she does not strike me as very nice - rather extremely weird, demented. It's only good that women are such inefficient killers or we would have dozens of dead at Youtube. Scores of videos of conservatives would be monetized and uncensored the next day - we cannot have that.

Her age and childlessness at 38/39 is telling. The very time period is triggering for a woman who is not a mother. I heard only that it gets better for those bitches past 45 as they have adjusted to their barren state after that.

It's difficult to assess the situation, but they should have at least searched her and her car due to probable assessment that she may be up to violence - at behest of her family.

But it's a tough call really, since she has not done anything yet and there are no public threats against Youtube so far.

Being a gun geek, I'm curious to know what kind of gun she used.

I'm guessing it wasn't very powerful. She was able to kill herself reliably but she only wounded the rest. Either it was a wimpy chambering or she didn't understand how to choose ammunition for purpose.

Then again "wounded" casts a wide net these days. It's possible that she grazed a couple of people or even that several land-whales merely twisted their ankles while they were running away.

Increasingly, it seems very clear that if you "see something, say something", that's it. That's the whole process. You see something, you say something, and hopefully it makes you feel better, because the notes from that call are going straight into the garbage.

Hindsight. And heck, for all we know, maybe they did - they probably get dozens of such warnings given the business they're in.

99.9% of violent crime follows predictable patterns; gang fights, fights over women, revenge on business partners, et cetera. The other 0.01% is extremely hard to catch, because the perpetrators don't show any of the signs. Serial killers and nutters like this woman are extremely good at passing themselves off as 'normal' when they have to, because their crimes are so bizarre.

Exactly. My point is not that the government should have done something else. Its that her family thought the police were "keeping and eye on her" because that is what the police told the family they would do. Instead my point is that its not realistic to expect the government or the police to protect you. They are not there to protect you. They are there to protect the government from you.
