How is it "literally impossible to score" in Istanbul? It might be difficult to have a one night stand as a tourist, but that applies to huge chunks of the world with attractive women. Not to mention that theres a balance of holiday lifestyle here, too. I'd far rather spend a week in Istanbul eating good food, seeing amazing historical sights, and fooling around on dates with intellectually interesting girls (even if I didn't get laid) than a week in Manila doing nothing but sitting in a hotel room insta-banging Tinderalla '5's with no personality. Or a week in Magaluf surrounded by the scum of the earth doing nothing but banging hammered chavvy English '4's.

Sometimes you want a slow cooked, more rewarding, long-lasting meal. Sometimes you want instant, crappy quality fast food to scratch an itch. Some of the posters here prefer the former, some the latter. It often changes depending on what life stage a person is in. But in general life is better when you have variety in it.

You could have not said it any better Zatara. This is what I mean, if for example I stayed for longer and saw that tinder date again I would most likely bang her. You can definitely get laid in Istanbul, however I moved around so much during my trip that worked against me meeting girls. I first also thought that Istanbul would be a super Muslim place but the fact is most of the girls you will encounter anyway will be liberal. I will be back in the future.

If you are Middle-Eastern looking, girls will be racist to you in Istanbul. There's huge racism towards Arab people. Of course, I'm talking that 50% of people in Istanbul in general that you meet at bars, clubs, basically at night. Those are very liberal people and non-religious. I have never been to Turkey, but I met some Turkish girls (both from Turkey and born and raised in Germany) all around Europe with school's cultural exchanges.

Some of them were one of the hottest girls I ever met in my life, but the others were really ugly.
I started to think there's no average beauty between them, or they are really hot, or they are really ugly.
But all the Turkish girls born and raised in Turkey were really nice, polite and a little bit shy, as Italian girls used to be loooooooong time ago.

They're very similar to our girls. Those German/Turks are very similar to American/Italians. Don't judge those as real Turkish girls. They're totally different breed.

My job's headquarter is in Istanbul, I spent almost on/off 3 years in Istanbul, few months here, few months there.

First of all, Italians have almost perfect image in Turkish girls' mind. I never stayed there more than 3 months at a time but I did get laid 2 times basically after chatting 10-15 mins, they both told me next morning, they slept with me just because I'm Italian

But we also have some Spanish, French and American guys at work. They also seem to do very good. There are few guys from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Beirut, they're complaining about Turkish girls being racist.

They definitely don't like Arabs, (the ones you meet at bars, clubs etc) obviously if you meet religious girls, they might like them but I never met them anyway.

It's a great city to spend few weeks but if you're trying to get laid few times a week, this place isn't that easy. I don't think anyone can pull off different girl every week consistently. As of right now, I return there 2 times a year, I have 4 constant girls, I keep around and I bang them over and over.

Can't complain much.

You have it good Rossi. Like say it is definitely a city where you have to plant your seeds, make connections and give it time before you could get laid. I also didn't have any problems with being from London or even Polish, girls seemed to like it. I honestly thought there would be tons of European tourists (maybe there are in the summer) but even in the touristic areas I felt like one of the only foreigners. I guess people are scared to come here but not once did I have any major threat.

Keep in mind it is a super militarised country with police everywhere, security checks at metro stations, malls, random id checks for Turkish citizens. Even bicycle police are strapped up. So don't do anything stupid. Despite this I felt safe.

As I said, I spent 3 years there in past 10 years. We have over 40 foreign people at work, I never heard any bad experience from anyone at work, security-wise. Nothing ever happened to me there.

You have to be little smart about it. I mean, I never went to favela's late at night. You went to Tuzla which is not very smart move. I never went to those parts of the city late at night without having Turkish friends next to me. Those places can be dangerous. Basically it comes down to your luck. I mean, I also lived 10 years in New York, I also never been in East Harlem at 11 pm too.

Tourist-wise, since I work for logistic company, Istanbul was in Top 8 city in terms of tourists but what happened in next door has affected tourism, almost 50% decrease in tourist numbers in past 2 years.

Yes, police survaillance is a lot there, since they've gone under attack by Arabs few times. I was never searched but they pulled me over few times, especially Friday and Saturday's for dui. They do road-blocks after 11 pm to 5 am for drunk driving.

Yeah Tuzla is pretty much a shithole, Cekmekoy has mafia and barbed wire fences but I went to these places as my wing had relatives there he wanted to visit.

I see, I have noticed Turkey is a country where you are greatly rewarded for knowing the language or even trying. I learnt how to greet people, order at any restaurant or bar, ask for the bill and I got treated like a boss. When I went on a date and ordered all in Turkish the guy gave me a discount and wingmanned me by dimming the lights, changing the music and giving us popcorn. Turkish guys are arguably the best wingmen I know, they put in effort so you secure a chick. However, if they don't know you/don't like you they may also be the biggest cockblockers I know so my advice is make friends here.

And yes one £ is 5.9 Turkish lira! I think I went at the right time.
