Kung Fu - they didn't want to cast Bruce Lee, so they used David Carradine.
Tonto - portrayed by Johnny Depp.
Cleopatra - portrayed by Elizabeth Taylor
Genghis Khan - portrayed by John Wayne
Those were not created for a global, but mostly for a local Western market with 90% and Europe 98% being White.
If the Philippines had done those flics for their market, then all of them would be Filipinos. Also - Cleopatra may very well have been pretty white according to recent DNA tests. Those tests can be done and redone again and again becoming ever more exact in the future.
The difference to the past is that White historical characters are being changed in a still White-dominated country in order to show the middle finger to the Western history and culture. Those roles in the past were not created to enrage Mongol and Chinese people. The ones now honestly are.
And the casting choice of Johnny Depp was likely purely based on Depp wanting to do the project for some reason - they could not resist doing the project and had to go ahead with it despite him being an odd choice.
The Chinese for example cast Matt Damon into their Chinese Wall movie. Sometimes they even pick actors like Keanu Reeves for their movies just because they like him. And this is a Chinese decision - not even by Hollywood execs.
There were some more racists casting choices by Hollywood and I mentioned some above where they let Mickey Rooney play a Japanese bloke and comedic relief. But Genghis Khan was no comedic relief.
It's more akin to Shakespeare being played exclusively by men in the past, because it was the custom back then (stupid custom, but custom nonetheless and nothing seen against women).

The real story may be more interesting than the fiction! (But the best thing about that show was the theme music adapted from Wagner)
Another sign showing how retarded Hollywood is. Only because Johnny Depp wanted to play in the movie they discarded the real history which would have been so much cooler.
And imagine this - it's a story that shows real "diversity" and could be liked both by the left and the right:
https://www.history.com/news/bass-reeves...-black-man
Quote:In 1838—nearly a century before the Lone Ranger was introduced to the public—Bass Reeves was born a slave in the Arkansas household of William S. Reeves, who relocated to Paris, Texas, in 1846. It was in Texas, during the Civil War, that William made Bass accompany his son, George Reeves, to fight for the Confederacy.
While serving George, Bass escaped to Indian Territory under the cover of the night. The Indian Territory, known today as Oklahoma, was a region ruled by five Native American tribes—Cherokee, Seminole, Creek, Choctaw and Chickasaw—who were forced from their homelands due to the Indian Removal Act of 1830. While the community was governed through a system of tribal courts, the courts’ jurisdiction only extended to members of the five major tribes. That meant anyone who wasn’t part of those tribes—from escaped slaves to petty criminals—could only be pursued on a federal level within its boundaries. It was against the backdrop of the lawless Old West that Bass would earn his formidable reputation.
Upon arriving in the Indian Territory, Bass learned the landscape and the customs of the Seminole and Creek tribes, even learning to speak their languages. After the 13th Amendment was passed in 1865, abolishing slavery, Bass, now formally a free man, returned to Arkansas, where he married and went on to have 11 children.
After a decade of freedom, Bass returned to the Indian Territory when U.S. Marshal James Fagan recruited him to help rein in the criminals that plagued the land. Fagan, under the direction of federal judge Isaac C. Parker, brought in 200 deputy marshals to calm the growing chaos throughout the West. The deputy marshals were tasked with bringing in the countless thieves, murderers and fugitives who had overrun the expansive 75,000-square-mile territory. Able local shooters and trackers were sought out for the position, and Bass was one of the few African-Americans recruited.
Standing at 6 feet 2 inches, with proficient shooting skills from his time in the Civil War and his knowledge of the terrain and language, Bass was the perfect man for the challenge. Upon taking the job, he became the first black deputy U.S. marshal west of the Mississippi.
As deputy marshal, Bass is said to have arrested more than 3,000 people and killed 14 outlaws, all without sustaining a single gun wound, writes biographer Art T. Burton, who first asserted the theory that Bass had inspired the Lone Ranger in his 2006 book, Black Gun, Silver Star: The Life and Legend of Frontier Marshal Bass Reeves.
At the heart of Burton’s argument is that fact that over 32 years as a deputy marshal, Bass found himself in numerous stranger-than-fiction encounters. Also, many of the fugitives Bass arrested were sent to the Detroit House of Corrections, in the same city where the Lone Ranger would be introduced to the world on the radio station WXYZ on January 30, 1933.
Fucking A - that's an awesome guy - better than any Hollywood invention.
Hollywood and their left is really retarded making up crappy stories while ignoring good real ones. They even have slavery and racism in it and would not do it. Too masculine and law-abiding for them? Heck - I would even go watch a movie about that guy.

RE: Characters In True Story Films/Shows Invented For Diversity Reasons
It's a blessing in disguise that they haven't made a movie about Bass Reeves.
I'd love to see such a film - but present day Hollywood would shit it up with modern soy politics, disgracing the memory of such a heroic man.
If you're looking for something to unwind with, don't watch Hollywood, find some decent Anime. Kino's Journey will leave you with a meditative melancholy after each episode, it gives you something to chew on. And while Japan has their own issues, at least they're different issues than here, not specifically designed to undermine the Western cultural immune system.

I think we can rule out the fact of being white.
Some people don't consider Jews "white". Doesn't mean Jews (or other semiic people) look the same as Africans. This ethnic munging is the reason for the We Wuz Kangz meme in the first place.
Here's the limitation of the term "white" in action.
Were the ancient Greeks or Romans white? Some say yes, some say no.
Before the American South, nobody was white. The idea of "white" is a Southern concept. You were either white or black.
Even Germans in WWII didn't think in terms of being "white." No Europeans did until recently. You were German, or English, or Polish, or Irish, or Spanish. And more importantly, you were Catholic, Protestant, or Jewish.
The Irish weren't white until they were. "White" means White Anglo-Saxon Protestant.
I know it's a convenient term these days, and some people are true-blue WASPs. But, the focus on being white is a fool's errand because we end up wasting time debating who's white and who's not. What's more important is: are they committed to the preservation and spread of traditional Western culture?

I already asked this, but after four pages no one actually posted one good reason why they watch this crap.
Do you think films will actually start getting better anytime soon?
Why are you willingly letting (((them))) infiltrate your brain? It's the most valuable thing you have and when you watch a film you're just letting that film implant images and stories into it forever. You think you're smart enough to notice the obvious propaganda, therefore it won't affect you? Wrong. You will notice a lot of it but it will still affect you anyway. Don't just passively let shit into your brain just so you can waste time on your own or with a girl
Since 2016 it's been clear that Hollywood hates people like me, and thinks we are irredeemable. Would you allow someone who tells you how much they hate you, your people, and your beliefs to then prepare your next meal? No f'ing way. They're going to poison the hell out of that shit, and then laugh as you're convulsing in your death throes.
Lately I've been watching a (metric) shit-ton of Japanese TV and movies, much of it on Netflix, the rest on Youtube. Check out "Japanese Style Originator" on Netflix streaming. It's awesome. Proud nationalism and profiles of aged skilled craftsmen and their admirable lives of toil and extreme dedication. It makes me want to strive harder to achieve my potential. US Programming, OTOH, usually makes me want to smash the TV, and then weep for my lost country.

RE: Characters In True Story Films/Shows Invented For Diversity Reasons
I'm only two episodes into 'The Alienist' (Netflix) and it's pissing me off already.
I was intrigued that it heavily featured a young Theodore Roosevelt during his role as New York Police Commissioner. Unfortunately, they got him all wrong in my opinion; he was just too passive and quiet for my liking. Teddy would have been all over the investigation in real life and nobody else would have got a word in edgeways.
But now to the enforced diversity. Dakota Fanning plays 'the first woman police officer' or something. This is mentioned virtually every-time the character is on-screen. She is subjected to constant sexual abuse apparently and is just a miserable pain in the arse to everyone she meets. She plays the type of harpy whereby you can't even say a simple 'good morning' to without getting a lecture about 'the Patriarchy'.
I was firmly under the impression from marketing etc that her character was a real historical figure. But is she fuck;
https://www.bustle.com/p/is-the-alienist...on-7970764
'Dakota Fanning plays the NYPD's first female employee in the series, Roosevelt's fictional secretary Sara Howard, and told NPR that her costume was a big part of her process. The actor reflected that the restriction of women's clothing at the time affected their lives. She also said that wearing an era-appropriate corset "helped put [her] in the mindset of that time period and gave [her] a window into, you know, the experience of being a woman back then." Fanning continued, "I think it is important, especially for my generation, to see those similarities between now and so long ago," regarding the rampant sexism her character experiences in the workplace.
Ultimately, as Fanning said to Vogue, what makes Sara Howard such a compelling character is her strong personality and refusal to capitulate to her time's expectations for women. "It’s important to watch female characters like that in any era," Fanning told the magazine.
The events described in The Alienist (executive producer: Rosalie Swedlin) — the serial murders of young, male sex workers did not really happen. But the authenticity of the surrounding elements was important to all involved. Evans told EW in the same interview, "Manhattan at that time was a melting pot of culture and religion and races, and I think to honor the book and to honor Caleb Carr’s authenticity was part of the draw to the production, to make it as real as possible."
Yeah, I forgot to say the show is all about underage trannies. So far, the show is garbage, far inferior to the similarly themed Mindhunter.

To worry about history’ – Tim Allen

Long awaited movies
Tell them too much, they wouldn't understand; tell them what they know, they would yawn.
They have to move up by responding to challenges, not too easy not too hard, until they paused at what they always think is the end of the road for all time instead of a momentary break in an endless upward spiral
