What in the hell was she thinking? You need to have your financial shit together even if you're a libertarian today, and this woman was running a podcast that was very overtly alt-right aligned. (Not sure if "white nationalist", it doesn't look like the podcast or Red Ice call themselves that, and don't those guys tend to self-label? Probably a combo of genetics and lifestyle.

With uber-sluts, you often find it runs in the family. Daughter winds up like mom, bedding scads of men, hitting clubs all the time, getting fake tans, drinking, etc. Even if they look good, they still come off as haggard and used.

This one probably spends her evenings sitting home alone and reading alt-right blogs and taking notes. Or knitting and waiting for one of you eligible younger conservative guys to track her down.

I agree with the bolded as a general principle, but are we looking at the same woman? She's neither "dorky" nor "poorly-dressed," she just has a naturally unappealing face and looks like she's on the path to becoming a chubster as the years pass (neither fat nor skinny in youth --> fat in middle age).

As for her contrarian views, it would be one thing if she was stating them intelligently, with careful nuance and original insight, but... read her tweets from the OP, they're retarded. They read exactly like run-of-the-mill SJW blather, just with the opposite opinion. I frankly don't see why that should command any respect.

I have mixed opinions on this.

White (my own) perspective

She's not saying anything worse than what whites say around each other when no other minorities are around. We even say it about each other and about other lower class whites. Shit, white people have said it about myself at various times throughout my life as I certainly wasn't from an upper class family.

They might not word things exactly as she said it, but a lot of whites will say very similar things when they're around a comfortable group of fellow white friends.

And yeah, even the liberal parts of my family are getting sick of the "white privilege" crap that's being thrown around. Like I said, she didn't say anything that we don't already say amongst ourselves.

However, most of us know when not to cross that line in public and use common sense. This is coming from someone who has lived in Trump country my whole life, when the Trump/Pence signs were in full display in the yards throughout the town before Trump even started building up a lot of steam in the primaries.

As a white parent, while I wouldn't feel like my (hypothetical white) kid was under attack in this situation, I still wouldn't want someone who openly and brazenly went on a podcast and stated these views to be in a position of authority over my child.

Minority (not my own) perspective

Looking at this from a minority view, which obviously is difficult for me to do, but I would be freaked out if a person who was in a position of power said these things in a very open manner like she did when she was my child's teacher. She was going on podcasts and shit, that's pretty out in the open.

I would not to be happy with the school system and I would quite frankly be pissed off that this teacher was allowed to be in a position of authority around my child. I would very much think that my (hypothetical minority) child would be under attack if this ever happened to me.

Now all hypothetical scenarios aside of whether my white or minority child was under the supervision of this teacher, I would also like to add something that maybe other minorities on this forum might not think about.

This is, simply put, that many white parents are feeling as under attack on a regular basis from academia and the public school system that minority parents probably felt in this circumstance. How so? Well, let me give you an example:

How does it make white parents feel when their kids teachers are part of Black Lives Matter, a group which openly and proudly chanted "Pigs in a blanket, fry em like bacon" while holding up the black power fists?





Not only will that teacher, who is part of Black Lives Matter, not have each and every future job opportunity taken away from them, but they will be actively celebrated for being "courageous".

Lets not pretend this is a one way street.

It's one thing for private businesses to act on their personal beliefs--for example, I don't think anyone should be forced to make a cake celebrating gay weddings if they don't want to.

It's another for a public job paid for by tax payer money. In that situation, the public employee has to be able to fairly serve ALL of the public. If you're a govt employee, you can't turn people away because they're gay, you have to do your fucking job. I'm a black man, so when I hear about my kids' teacher bringing white supremacist beliefs into the classroom, and advocating that certain races are smarter than others, then I don't believe she will give my kid a fair chance. I don't believe she'll look at them and treat them as an individual, because she's already made up her mind. I don't believe she'll do her job. That's fine for her to do in her own life on her own time, but not on taxpayer dollars when she's supposed to be educating and nurturing the diverse American public. Fuck her, I'm glad she was fired, and yes I'd feel the same way about a black teacher advocating BLM or black nationalism or what have you.

This is one of the great mysteries of life.

Part of it is that what is hot in high school is determined by the peer group. I remember having an argument with a friend's mom in high school where she was saying that unpopular girl was better looking than populargirl, and my friend and I debated with her vociferously.

She finally said that we were arguing from the point of social status and she was arguing from the point of looks, and that we couldn't see what she was talking about because everyone liked populargirl better.

We had no idea what she was talking about.

Yeah, these quirky girls, quiet girls, a lot of them already knew they didn't care about high school popularity, or were shy, or had low self esteem and kept to themselves, only to grow into themselves later.

Not their fault we couldn't see it at the time, and we have only ourselves to blame.

If you accused most teachers of indoctrinating or expousing personal beliefs on children, they would strongly deny this, and spout on about how they teach their students to think critically, to be indepedendent learners, and value unique perspectives.

The reality is usually something a little more like this:




Sure, the children are allowed time to discuss and explore their perspective on the topic, but the way the teacher frames the discussion is leading the students to his own predetermined conclusion. You can be sure that if the students disagree with his perspective, he will pretend to respect their opinion while calmly steering their opinion toward the "correct" one.

This video may be an extreme example, but for 90% of students attending a public Western school, this format of learning is a daily occurance. A teacher doesn't have to be a gay rights activist, white supremist or black lives matter supporter to be be complicit in the daily indocrination of our children.
