Bingo.

Also, the FBI was tipped off and did not follow up:

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/fbi-proto...d=53147141

Quote:A person close to Cruz called an FBI tip line on Jan. 5 with information about Cruz's desire to kill people, erratic behavior, disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting, according to an FBI statement.

Also from the above story:

"Broward County Mayor Beam Furr told NPR that Cruz "had been a client as some mental health facilities" and was now "one of those ones where we miss the signs.""

Maybe the reason we "miss the signs" is because we use euphemisms like the word "client" when it really should be "patient."
<SNIP>

It's actually, far, far worse. Broward County School District changed it's policies to essentially skirt existing law in order to "reduce the number of children going into the juvenile justice system."

The fucking idiot administrators made policy that effectively allowed this to happen. WHAT THE FUCK! The NPR article in full below, emphasis mine:

Quote:In Florida, one of the nation's largest school districts has overhauled its discipline policies with a single purpose in mind — to reduce the number of children going into the juvenile justice system.

It's a move away from so-called "zero tolerance" policies that require schools to refer even minor misdemeanors to the police. Critics call it a "school to prison pipeline."

Civil rights and education activists say the policy can be a model for the nation.

Under a new program adopted by the Broward County School District, non-violent misdemeanors — even those that involve alcohol, marijuana or drug paraphernalia — will now be handled by the schools instead of the police.

At a school board meeting today in Fort Lauderdale, a room full of lawyers, judges, police and educators applauded chair Laurie Rich Levinson's announcement.

"Zero tolerance" school policies became the norm across the country over the last 20 years and were fueled by concerns about gang violence and school shootings.

But Broward County, the nation's seventh largest school district, began looking seriously at changing its policies two years ago. District superintendent, Robert Runcie had just taken the job and was troubled.

"We saw huge differentials in achievement gaps among white, black and Hispanics students," Runcie said. "Black males in particular were in probably some of the worst situation in this district."

One of the first things Runcie did was order the district to compile its numbers on suspensions, arrests and expulsions — and they were startling. In 2010 and 2011, there were more than 1,000 school-related arrests, and nearly three-quarters of them were for non-violent misdemeanors.

Just as troubling is that in Florida and around the country, minorities are disproportionately affected — especially black males. State judge Elijah Williams said that although African-American kids make up just 40 percent of the school district's population, they account for 71 percent of the school arrests.

"We had the highest arrest rate in the state of Florida. And coincidentally, we had the highest drop-out rate," Williams said.

Although the agreement was signed today, the policies were adopted at the beginning of the school year. It's a series of counseling sessions, activities and interventions called the "Promise" program.

Officials say they're already seeing a steep drop in school-related arrests. And the Promise program is helping students like 17-year-old Maria Martinez. She's a senior and doesn't want to give details about what got her into trouble. But she said she was very nearly arrested.

"During my suspension, I went to the Promise program and it saved me. It saved my behind. If not, I would have been in bars, or behind bars," Martinez said.

Martinez said she's now getting ready to apply to college, and hopes to become a nurse or doctor.

Broward County is far from the only school district re-evaluating its zero tolerance disciplinary policies. Officials in Broward credit Clayton County, Ga. with leading the way. School districts in Wichita, Kan., Columbus, Ohio, and Birmingham, Ala., are just a few of many already following suit.

But Marcia Ellison, a member of the local NAACP, said this agreement goes further than the other programs: "What Broward has done is gone to make sure the administration is truly back in charge of the school. They have changed their school code of conduct which was a tool of funneling these kids. That has not happened across the country."

The NAACP is involved in a number of lawsuits challenging school discipline policies across the country. Ellison said this agreement shows a better way to begin dismantling the school to prison pipeline.

"Officials say they're already seeing a steep drop in school-related arrests."

No shit, sherlock, nobody is getting arrested if they're not getting reported!

It's become clear that there were a mountain of huge red flag warning sirens that this dude was a threat and that he never should have had access to a firearm. Incompetence all over the map, at the very least he shouldn't have been able to get in the damn school without shooting through locked doors and alerting everyone.

The problem will never be solved so long as a huge proportion of the country continues to zealously believe that simply banning all firearms will simply solve the problem and all the driving factors of those using them in these cases. Once again it's "gun control" and playing politics as usual from what I'm seeing in most places. Maybe with Trump there is a chance to address the mental health aspect, which definitely plays a role. We will then have to battle the SJW army over "human rights" when we try to "take away their right" to not take their mood stabilizer and eventually institutionalize them when they don't, so that they're not wandering the streets on the precipice of snapping.

Still, zero introspection whatsoever from the average American. This culture is fucked and bears no resemblance the the baseball apple pie eating one from the WW2 era. Nihilism is off the charts and practically a way of life now, this weird dynamic of puritanical attitudes for men and unbounded degeneracy for women, the nuclear family is rapidly dying off, the institution of marriage a joke at 50% or more divorce rate and now including gays. Traditional values obliterated in the face of the Marxist war machine which the populace just eats up. The average white person having no identity or purpose in life, rather is completely preoccupied with Not Being Homophobic and Not Being Racist. It really should be no surprise that our country is pumping out fucked in the head individuals at this rate. Something is fucking wrong, addressing mental health might help, but I don't think it will be enough. The issue is more likely buried even deeper at the foundation.

Kaotic really hit the overall situation perfectly with his post yesterday. And I think Beyond Borders addresses the white cultural issue spot on, better than I could ever.

(02-16-2018 12:33 PM)Days of Broken Arrows Wrote:  Speaking of alcohol, has it been mentioned on this thread that the killer might have some degree of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome?

I noticed that his ears sit very low -- which is a big physical sign. So I Googled it and sure enough the UK paper the Daily Mail has an article.

We're going to be seeing more and more of this as irresponsible Millennial women drink like fish and feminists fight for their right to drink while pregnant.

(I'm not going to repost Daily Mail the article because the photos and graphics depicting signs of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome are an important part of the story.)

There was a push to minimize Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS). Not by accident, this all coincided with the raising of the drinking age as in the 70s and 80s people seemed to forget how to handle alcohol and would drink while driving and drink while pregnant. Enough angry moms got together to lobby for Govt to change the drinking age.

For a little while, there was a dip as awareness to pregnant mothers that drinking even one drunk could turn your kid into a vegetable made it taboo for pregnant women to even go near a bottle of wine. Even pregnant wives picking up wine and beer for their husbands at the liquor stores would get glares. The push made it that society made it that only the riff-raffs of dregs of the lower classes would still entertain drinking liquor while pregnant.

Also, in tandem with lowering teen birth rates things were treading in the right direction. I have not seen recent data because the way it is tracked now isn't the same. They put FAS in a spectrum just like Autism and measure it in various intensities from a dude who is going to be a 'slow charlie' largely well-functioning kid who is just a dumbass, to a full brown vegetable kid who is drolling from age two onwards indefinitely.

When I worked in the Psych ward a lot of the young guys rolling through with bad behaviour issues were FAS, one guy for example, whom would through killed cats and tried to assault his care worker one time sexually. I never understood how anyone could get harmed by him because he was as smart as a warm baked potato and you could throw a piece of tin foil to distract him. I also never understood why a long-term solution was not created for this guy. He would show up in the ward for a few months then get bounced back to his foster home or someplace else until he wacked out again and killed a cat or did something else outside the norm.

None the less, I did notice that there were age gaps in generations. Much older FAS adults who came from a generation where there was little awareness to drinking and pregnancy and women would booze it up very late into their pregnancies, then society caught up and slipped, then a resurgence when a boost started to happen in the 70s/80s, then a dip. Now, we may be seeing a resurgence again with mothers being more careless and not taking care of themselves during pregnancies. Most millennial girls are on BC, but they do indeed drink like fishes with women out drinking men these days and more prone to 'binge' drink. I see women all over downing a bottle of wine each night. The way society is set up there are so many "get out of jail" free cards for young women: for example, a girl can booze it up, forget to take her BC, get knocked up and have a retarded fetus floating around in her and just wake up one day and get an abortion and simply just press 'reset' and start the video games all over again. Very rare for women to have to face the raw realities of their choices.

This Cruz kid, his story reads like a recipe for how to produce a fucked up kid. FAS, foster parents, the single mother, no father, neglect, bouncing around homes, pumped up full of meds. You give any boy that type of treatment, and he won't end up well. These shootings and overall oddities of violent patterns that creep up in the USA are all symptoms of the rot of the overall American foundation. Liberty and independence mean nothing if there is not a foundation of community, religion, family, and the stable home for those virtues to stabilize themselves on.

America was a stable place when it had stable homes. You could probably plot the rate of mass shootings and violence to the rising levels of broken homes, and it would likely correlate.

Also, back to the Cruz kid. Too many protection laws in place. FBI probably do nothing without parental consent. This kid should have been in a bubble room, but likely not without parental consent. There are instances where parents need to fall back and admit they don't know what is best for their child in certain cases. When the parent is showing an inability to lead their child on a proper path, then they should not have full autonomy to rule over their child. This goes against my independence streak, but children are too important to fuck up on. Society is the way it is because far too many kids are getting a bad experience growing up and parents need to held accountable for this in some way. Back in the day if the parents were inept yu would get bounced out, and the grandparents or an uncle/ant would raise the kids, and you would both go something else. In those times bad parents did not get any compensation for being shitty parents and would gladly wash their hands of the kids and go skip out and continue being bums. in 2018, bad parents get money from the Govt to continue being shitty parents. It is all backwards.

A kid was in one of the rooms that got shot up. He's doing an AMA. Pretty horrific shit.

Damien and Kai - you guys are on to something here, except a lot of these shootings aren't even "let it happen" type operations, but likely false flag psyops using MK-Ultraed or duped patsies.

An example of that was during the Pulse shooting, there was supposed to be a coordinated attack on the LA "pride" parade in Sta. Monica carried by a patsy, James Wesley Howell, who instead of going through turned himself him to the local authorities once he realized that he might end up dead like Omar Mateen. Often times people like Howell are told they are part of a drill or that they're white hats in sting operations only to end up getting framed.

Early signs pointing that this latest shooting is a false flag:
-Witnesses saw/heard multiple shooters
-drills held the same day at the same location

The deep state has had a history of orchestrating terror events in order to achieve its political goals (keep the population terrorized, promote the security state/limit freedoms, promote deep divisions, start foreign wars,...)

Don't have time to research and post more right now about this laterst inident, but just wanted to point out that based on past terror events, it would be good to, at the very least, keep that possibility in mind.

IF this is true, then the likelihood of a false flag rises tremendously.

I remember this one vid where after a European terrorist attack an official said that they had strangely a drill at the same location going on. Then the TV reporter in the studio looked with a mixture of disgust and realization that this is another case of government-sponsored killings.

No idea whether this is one of those.

RE: Douglas High School shooting in Florida
This brings up an issue that I’ve had to deal with a few times on a professional level. I thought you guys might want to hear about it.

The issue is this: there are a significant number of people out there who really should be institutionalized. But the law has made it difficult to do this. So these people are circulating in society, where they can be ticking time bombs. It’s a real problem, and no one wants to address it. As in so many other things, there is a lack of moral courage and backbone to deal with this issue, because everyone is afraid to look like the bad guy.

Take the state of Kansas, where I currently reside. Here’s a breakdown of their rules on civil commitment.

Before 1960, civil commitment was not difficult to carry out. It was almost perfunctory if a doctor authorized it:

1. Hearings were perfunctory: It was just a physician and his patient with few questions.
2. Doctor only had to show there was a need for treatment.
3. No periodic judicial review: You were committed until discharged by the Chief Medical Officer. There was commitment for all purposes. Once committed, all decisions were made by Chief Medical Officer

All this changed in 1976 with Senate Bill 26. And don’t underestimate the influence of the movie “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” and the general liberalization of social norms, all of which made involuntary commitment a real "scare term."

The entire focus shifted to “dangerous”: was the person a “danger” to himself or to society. Sounds great in theory, but in practice it was difficult to prove “danger.”

Not only this, but you got increased judicial review. Hearings were set in place with appointed counsel and actual cross-examination. There was periodic judicial review every 90 days. In other words, the court system got involved, and this changed everything.

The whole focus began to shift to giving everyone “due process of law,” and what this meant was an entire bureaucratic system was put in place that proved to be generally hostile to commitment in general, thinking that it was “cruel” or “barbaric.” We now know this is just not true.

There were also some misguided or misinformed attorneys and judges that managed to convince the US Supreme Court that involuntary commitment was equivalent to a “massive curtailment of liberty.” They managed to make the phrase “involuntary commitment” a dirty phrase. So the Supreme Court responded by mandating a lot of procedural due process, and this meant hearings, procedures, and red tape. Notice here that I said procedural due process and not substantive due process. The two things are different.

Things changed a bit more in 1988 and 1990: they changed the definition of dangerousness (often interpreted as a recent overt act of violence) to “lack of ability to make treatment decisions” due to a thought disorder (not a personality disorder) which made it reasonably likely that the person would harm himself or others. But in practice, it is still hard to get someone committed if they don’t want to be committed.

And tragically, everyone suffers, including the person who has the mental health problems.

My major point here is that (1) there are people who are truly insane and who need to be committed, even if they don't want to be, and (2) reforms in the law need to be made to make it easier for this to happen.

Innocent people should not be put at risk because some people are too spineless to put public safety ahead of the rights of the insane.

There was a fire drill earlier that day. The shooter also pulled a fire alarm to try to draw targets out.

There was supposed to be a shooter on campus drill sometime in the near future. The students were saying they, and the staff, did not know when said drill was to occur. They also said both staff and students assumed this was the drill and acted accordingly until it was clear it was not, like hearing gunshots.

From what I remember from my highschool days (I went to highschool in the county north of broward), this is normal, they told us there was going to be a drill but not when. Only happened a few times over the years. In hindsight, this is a retarded way of doing things given what just happened.

And the correction is often run via a different medium to the specious reporting. Very often they'll run a live TV segment, then issue a retraction on their website. The audiences who consume their media via cable and via the internet have virtually no overlap.

I know that laws curtailing the freedom of the press have to be treated with extraordinary caution, but what about a law mandating that all retractions must be issued via the same medium as the original news? Anything besides this is deliberately misleading the public.
...

I think the retraction should occupy the same time or space the lie did. If someone prints an article containing a harmful lie all over page one of the Saturday Mail then the retraction should occupy the whole front page on next Saturday's edition. Same goes for news media. If they run a ten minute story that's proven to be false then they should spend the full god-damned ten minutes in the same time on the same channel on the same day of the week finding various ways of saying "this is what we got wrong and we apologise".

Add a means for in-and-out libel and defamation suits that can be resolved by a special court within a week.

Freedom of the press be damned. Accountability of the press has been utterly proven to be a thousand times more important.

Aside all that, the matter of locking up the crazies is a dangerous one to advocate flippantly on. We are already staring down the barrel of psychology terms like Oppositional Defiance Disorder which labels resistance to authority as a form of mental illness. It should be clear by now that the powers given to the government by conservatives are inevitably used against conservatives. What is the FBI if not a giant blank cheque to the federal government to keep you safe.

And what do they do now? Ignore real threats and work as a progressive KGB.

Mass shootings are bad. School shootings are worse. But they are a symptom of the West's problems. Not the problem itself.

OK some quick Friday night research:

-First witness says there were at least 3 shooters,
-2nd witness said there was a drill held earlier that day, and that students were expecting this to be another drill
-3rd witness said there was going to be a drill in the school that day where people were going to fire blanks
-4th witness was conversing with Nikolas Cruz, her former classmate, while gunshots were going off in another part of the school.

Most of us here would be committed just for being Red Pill, being anti-feminist, thinking that there are only two genders and not a spectrum, thinking that gays are not the best couples to be given custody over adopted children etc.

Furthermore - the more Orwellian a system becomes, the more expanded their definition of crazy is. In Soviet Russia they incarcerated people even up until the end 1980s for saying that the USSR is not the best and most utopian well-off country on Earth. You were not allowed to state the fact that Western countries had a much higher living standard, because that was just the talk of a crazy man.

So no - we cannot bring back such easy commitments or our Orwellian government puts the wrong-thinkers into looney bins while the Jihadis, mass-rapists & psychos still roam the streets.

The reason people are not institutionalized as much as before is because psychiatrists have historically done atrocious acts against their prisoners/patients. Torture, medical experiments, death. The field of psychiatry is such a horror show that you have to question who even wants to be associated with it.

What most of these people need is to stay at a farm far away from the city. Mental illness and city life is a recipe for disaster. I believe it would be much easier to deal with crazies in a small community.

Wow - those interviews are amazing.

1. They did not only do fire drills. They fucking told the students that blanks would be fired in the drill, so that is why no one was alarmed.

2. One student says that one shooter ran up the stairs, the students fled trying to get outside, but came back screaming because there was another one downstairs.

3. The girl in the end talked with Nicolas Cruz (who is of Cuban heritage by the way) and she was certain that he was not doing it, because she heard shots from another part of the building while seeing him right afterwards. She even joked about the shooting to him - thought that it would be him doing it.

I think the likelihood of a false flag is much higher now.

A) What are the bloody chances that a student knows the exact date of a shooter-drill? I know that they are announced, but did he really plan it?

B) The likelihood of other shooters is high especially when you have highly different statements.

Show us the explicit camera footage inside and outside the school - also all bodycams of the cops, interview 300+ students and put the interviews online and I might believe that it was again this one lone shooter.

The scary thing is, is that the alternatives to Rahm are even scarier to contemplate being mayor.

Haha, I remember the 2015 mayoral race in Chicago. The alternatives were literally out of this world. Chuy Garcia literally an immigrant from Mexico almost won and gave Rahm Emmanuel a run for his money, dude was a La Raza Mexican supremacist type and he almost won. I think Chuy Garcia is in the runner ups to take Luis Gutierrez seat in congress.

Another colorful fellow was Willie Wilson. Literally a Black supremacist who wears badges of Africa on his suits. Got in trouble for saying "whitey" on his campaign trail. It's really hard to understand a word he says.

Here are some videos of these guys.

Those two candidates are fall guys whose role is to make sure that Emmanuel wins. The same way Al Sharpton was propped up and funded by the republicans in order to take down the candidacy of Howard Dean, who was a bigger threat to GWB and the establishement than Bonesman John Kerry.

(02-16-2018 05:34 PM)Quintus Curtius Wrote:  This brings up an issue that I’ve had to deal with a few times on a professional level.

I'd nearly forgotten about the timing of that movie, but it definitely makes sense. Similar attitudes towards nuclear power went crazy when that lame Jane Fonda movie The China Syndrome came out in the late 70s. Amazing how Hollyweird can so effectively manipulate public opinion.

One other thing with respect to involuntary commitment - do not underestimate the financial incentive at work. States used to commonly put people into mental institutions up through the 1970s, but when the expenses started to pile up, they conveniently discovered these patients had rights and deserved to be free, even if they couldn't take care of themselves. The solution was to drug them up - still happens today - and let them go till they came back for their next dose. It's a bit ironic that most of this was led by liberals who otherwise are very favorable to the idea of government run medicine.

Geraldo Rivera was part of the media blitz on state run mental institutions, which quite honestly were horribly run and often times had people in there who were not mentally ill, just abandoned by their families.

Maybe the intention was to get more funding for places like Willowbrook, but the result was a continuing process of de-institutionalization. The mentally ill are at best drugged up and set free, at worst residing in prisons instead of mental hospitals that may have prevented them from committing crimes in the first place.

The Polytechnique massacre in 1989 and the Dawson College shooting in 2006 are two examples of "organic" shootings with zero deep state involvement, where the official reports of a disturbed lone gunman are pretty much what went down.

The Bissonette Quebec City mosque shooting on the other hand, just to stick with Canadian shootings, was a partial deep state operation whose goal was to make the nationalist right wing look bad.

The average normie's Overton Window is so small, and the will to conform so strong that it takes precedence over independent rational thinking:

When the alternative to the official version is more disturbing, and challenges your entire belief system and your basic trust in societal institutions you were raised with, you will tend to reject any alternatives no mater how rational and pervasive the evidence supporting them is. This is what known as the state of cognitive dissonance.

So let me turn this question to you, Teutatis, do you believe that false flag attack don't exist, and that the version of the facts reported by the media is pretty much always the truth?
