This whole idea of childish atheism confuses a lack of belief in god with ungodliness. You can still live a virtuous and moral life without believing in god, you just need a different reason.

It's curious how so many atheists have an unwavering support for stupid shit like astrology, palm-reading, and Gaia-worship.

There are also a handful who instead of believing in a god, believe in this omnipresent "-ism" entity (sexism, racism, weight-ism, etc) that is the #1 reason behind the shortcomings of certain demographics.

Everyone takes as leap of faith of some sort. We take a leap of faith when we first get into game. Some people take a leap of faith towards capitalism, or socialism, or social democracy, or whatever. It is a risk you have to take in order to survive. We are all gamblers.

That said, I don't believe Santa is real. I don't believe in any kind of overlord consciousness controlling us, except maybe a Boltzman Brain, but it's too soon for one of them to exist.

It's true that we are driven by nature, but not a "lord." Anyway, why would you want to submit to another sentient being unless you were a woman?

I'm a committed atheist and only see a justification for foolish beliefs associated with atheism as the result of teenagers on the internet. Plenty of mature adults are atheists.
