If you can't clean up anywhere in the USA with a British, Scottish, Irish, Aussie or NZ accent your game is severely lacking or you have a physical abnormality.

Second this - anyone with an accent in NYC can kill it.

NYC girls tend to throw hoops and hurdles when dating, but you'll be able to dodge all of them by playing the "foreign boy who is new to the USA" game and everything will slide

Maybe it was the places i went.. in LA you're not exactly exotic if you have an Oz accent. There's Australians everywhere. We went to Vegas as well and same thing plus a terrible ratio. New York was a blowout for unrelated reasons. Had planned a night out in Phoenix which i was really keen for but we turned up not knowing passports were needed to gain entry to nighclubs as a foreigner!
I clean up when i go out in Melbourne most of the time and have done fairly well in Sydney and Perth and extremely well anywhere in Asia of course. Also did pretty well in Brazil, but i found the US a struggle. I remember one night we took 2 girls back to our place in LA from a club and we sat there with them till 6am but they wouldn't put out. Another night at the Roosevelt pool party in West Hollywood we got 2 girls back to the room but when we escalated at 5am they said they had to go. In Australia if you get a girl back to your room then you are 99.95% home and hosed so we were scratching our heads a bit afterwards..
I did kiss another girl earlier in the night but it was only brief.

Where would you recommend an Australian in his 30s, tall and better than average looking go in the states? i'm assuming far away from the usual NY, LA, Vegas...??

i'd love another crack at New York. unfortunately our time there was derailed by something else and we didn't get a chance to go out after the first night when we had 3 of the hottest girls lined up but seemed to lose them when we didn't fork out for an expensive private booth with bottle service.
