I wear blazers, fitted pants and pocket squares every single day. There is no need for me or ANYONE to wear a 3 piece suit unless you are a high powered lawyer broker or other such boss. I'm a 39 year old, good looking brown guy who's in Corporate consulting sales. I can probably even pull of a 3 piece but no need because my smart business casual look suits me. I get my shit to fit. Now, that doesn't mean I get it tailored.

First of all OP, you need to fix your inner game. Like these other forum members alluded to, you should AIM to stand out. Be brave, take chances in fashion. That means one thing. Start trying shit out. You are not ready for 3 pieces yet. That's like expecting to bang 8s and 9s when you should be gaming girls period, which is start with 6s and 7s. Not exact but similar concept I'm really hoping you understand. If not we're going to be lost.

Suggested action plan: Buy a few blazers from Express, Uniqlo or Zara. Get pants from H&M. They are fairly cheap and look decent although material is not the best. However, they will help you get comfort which is the number one thing you need and you won't break the bank.

Right now you're waiting for some pre-validation regarding your looks. That's akin to guys on this forum asking how to game hot girls only and when being told to talk to any girl, respond with dissent because it doesn't meet your unrealistic goals.

Walk first, or for that matter, crawl first, then walk and when ready you will run.

This is a good point.

If my name was Mr. Flappy I'd wear a three piece suit everywhere I went. I'd put a cop badge on the vest and say I'm Sheriff Flappy.

I'll clarify that this is when I'm out for work mostly. I'll change for dirtier tasks.

I'm less worried about the blazers and more about the pocket squares.

OP I forgot to mention the color wheel as an addendum to my first post.

Google "color wheel x" where x equals blazers, pants and even shoes. You need to understand color matching before you invest your hard earned money. It will show you what pants to match with what shirt, shoes and blazers. Read up generally on how the color wheel works as well (eg. Primary, Tertiary colors). Color matching will eventually become second nature and as a well dressed man it's essential.

Impress with something tasteful and simple, with some accessories (e.g., a pocket square) until you know what you are doing. You can never go wrong with a really sharp navy blazer with a pocket square. You could also replace that tie with a burgundy pattern tie that has a bit of navy for some more color.

If you are new to anything, especially clothing and style, keep it simple until you learn the ropes. Stay traditional. Do not be the guy that the gals in the office laugh about. No one laughs at the classics.
