If one of these couple's kids is a boy, I'd love for him to discover the manosphere or a forum such as this one. He would then scour through thread after thread, page after page, and become enlightened. His grand realization would be, "Wow, my mom is a magnificent thundercunt and my dad tolerated this bullshit. Pretty much everyone else has already stated the obvious. But I found this one comment in the comments section to be particularly telling and closer to the truth of what will end up happening anyway:

"I do not see how this is polyamory. What resonates is a woman who has dumped her husband, slowly and painfully, in favor of a boyfriend with whom she chooses not to be exclusive. She will ultimately meet someone with whom she chooses to be exclusive and all of this transitional self-justification will fall to the wayside."

She is trying to avoid conflict by not asking for an outright divorce and he is naive enough to believe her bs. She doesn't want to end it straight up because she doesn't have a sure monkey branch to hold onto. There are no adults in this relationship. He needs to see the writing on the wall and dump her like second period French.
