But this goes back to who raised them, and the "greatest generation" had a boatload of flaws as well. Turns out murdering millions of people in decades of wars wasn't something that was spiritually healthy either.

If we had to trace the chain of cause and effect, I think the corruption really started with WW1. Once America got conned into fighting that war, it started down the path of endless empire building and spiritual corruption of the men and people.

Think about it: America entered WW1 in 1917, loses 120K soldiers, passes female suffrage in 1920. People believed men were so bad and women would help govern wiser or whatever. Then once pandora's box was opened it started the endless tide of divorce rape and adultery in the 1940's, culminating in the baby boomer generation. And the cycle of selfish degeneracy has remained unbroken to this day.

WW1 really was the beginning of the end and it wasn't even America's fight. Wilson could have kept us out but there was a serious quid-pro-quo going on with England and other interests - the likes of which I will leave out for now so as not to send the thread cascading into a Spenseresque shit show.

But yes, the ensuing years opened up a can of worms which the Boomers irresponsibly accelerated while there was still time to react a bit.

We discussed this last year. As I've said before we can keep passing the blame game back along the chain as far as we want to play it.

The point isn't what you think, or what I think, or what Debeguiled thinks. None of us take things at face value and question and research and reflect upon information before coming to our conclusions. That's why we're on this forum.

It's what easy narrative that plays up to these long-simmering resentments that will take hold of the emotions of the mob of people who aren't capable of thinking like we are when conflict eventually hits.

Boomers - whether falsely or not - are considered as the public face of Globalism and Leftist Thought - there's years of media programming selling them as such - and hell is going to rain down on them when the gloves are off.

I expect some weird and unexpected divisions to form, even within homogenous groups.

Bill and I were talking about this the other day. He senses something is about to happen, and he was commenting on how most women seek the power to be in charge only to resent having to be in charge.

I nodded my agreement. "The last thing a woman wants is genuine-responsibility."

I continued, saying that it won't matter once conflict hits, because then they'll all instantly-revert to saying "Oh, protect me, Mr Big and Strong Man, I'm just a Girl."

Bill shook his head, since he recognises (and has great contempt for) female emotional manipulation. "Spot on. That's exactly how they'll play it. They can fuck right off, unless they're pretty enough to be worth a ride."

I've accepted my parents were deeply-flawed, and have forgiven them - they were what they were - but I imagine I'm also an exception to the rule.

There's conflict coming, both right and left and looking for someone to blame, and it's simply another divide that will form as shit starts going south. If Tribal Lines start forming in a Collapse, all these factors will come into play about who you choose to stand with, and, with that reality, certain age demographics are going to be viewed with deep suspicion.

I stumbled across this movie trailer since I first posted earlier today.

Ages back on here, I wrote about how the Left existed at the fringes of Popular Culture, and how it was obvious they now controlled Pop Culture since they now revel in the sort of mass culture - like Star Wars and Marvel Movies - that Leftists of my era would have sneered at as being 'so mainstream'. Their culture was Subversive and Fringe, and I mentioned a movie like 'Heathers', from 1987 or 1988, a flop on its initial release, where a girl meets a bad boy and they set about killing the popular kids in their high school, since, in the Leftist mind, childhood status injuries are a valid justification to fantasize about murder. Of course, the people they hate are really substitutes for their parents: the Cheerleaders and Jocks. There's some very spot on depictions of latchkeying, and conversations with self-absorbed parents who aren't really listening.

Now look at this. They've remade it. Understand it's aimed at a teenage Gen Z audience. Take a good look at who the heroes and villains are.





Particularly: note the language the Queen Guy uses to describe the Heroine's boyfriend.

The Social Justice Brigade is downvoting it to oblivion, and not understanding that people are seeing them as, well, the bullies they are.

I'm hoping it's not a fake out.

I think of it this way: it is not that the Boomers didn't know any better, it is just that they chose not to know any better because they thought that since they were born on 3rd base in the historical sense, they hit a home run. They chose to be degenerates, poison society with their degeneracy, virtue signalled their degeneracy and even had the audacity to preach to the old and young generations on a holier-than-though approach that their degeneracy was a blessing from God. Now, before the end, they want to see society burn down in flames before they all croak because they cannot handle the truth that embracing degeneracy is causing the world around them to crash.

Getting rid of the Boomers is technically addition by subtraction. I hope that it will not take a war to fix their mistakes but it looks like it is inching that way!

True statement, and a great reminder of days gone by in that linked article. I can remember as a very young kid that bomb scares were still relatively commonplace, although dwindling in frequency by the mid-1970s. Somebody would call up the school, claim a bomb was placed and they would close it for a few hours while the cops - and there were not many SWAT cops back then - did their best to clear it. They didn't find any bombs at the ones I remember, but real bombs definitely were a reality in years prior. Cunts like this were lionized, to say nothing of Bill Ayers, who by some procedural screw up got away with bombing the US Capital building. You even so much as bring a sharp stick into that place nowadays and you're getting cuffed & convicted.

Everybody's forgotten about how it was mostly boomers, black and white, who as young hippies caused all of the bombings and bomb scares of the seventies. Islamic terrorism was a rarity in the US. As the boomers slipped into middle age, got on with careers and continued to support politicians who gave Israel whatever it wanted. Well, whaddya know that pissed off the Muslims and after a series of ignored attacks against a volunteer military (Beruit Embassy, Khobar Towers, USS Cole), they had the audacity to be surprised at 9-11 and actually bought the idea we were attacked "because of our freedom."

Sounds a lot like millennial entitlement culture to me. As they say, history doesn't necessarily repeat, but it rhymes.
