Does anyone know if the warning level eventually expires? I imagine it's conceivable that a longstanding member could slowly accumulate infractions that lead to the ban hammer over a 6-8 year period. I reread the forum rules quickly and didn't see anything pertinent to this aspect.

That said, if Conscious Pirate had been on a 50% level, which he wasn't, his last comment probably would have been enough to get him turfed.

As I said before, a huge waste of a contributor. He was Sigma to the end.

Yes it goes away. You get a suspension. A pm with it and a warning level with how long it will take to drop. And how long the suspension is.

CP is a good man who I have met personally and consider a true friend. It is a shame that the rules which are meant to keep worthless trolls from sailing along and needlessly attacking members do not distinguish between a more consciously applied and earned (in the mind its writer) call out which uses as it's vessel of delivery, an attack and capture. These two things are not the same but the "rules" regard them as being the same. CP, who is a man of great depth of empathy and sincere dedication to unraveling truths about people and society probably did not mean to privateer the board with his so called attack. Banned? As far as I am concerned his Letter of Marque is still valid.
