A co worker of mine (late 30s, very successful realtor past 4 yrs) has been dating his gf (26, solid 8/10) for a year and a half. Recently we were all together catching up, and the conversation of marriage came up. He said he didn't believe in marriage, although his gf lives with him, he pays all expenses, and for Christmas bought her (via a lease in his name) a new 2018 Lexus.

I have tried to get an understanding of his end game with her, but if he doesn't want kids nor marriage, she just sounds like an expensive trophy gf to me.

Any advice I can share welcome.

Your friend is using his finances to exert control on her via fear. If he controls her lodging, vehicle and life, he doesn't have to worry about her doing anything or leaving. Or so he thinks.

Well, people's mind change.
They say one thing and then next year you might see them getting married.

Moreover, this guy might be doing self-hypnosis on himself as he doesn't see the relationship turning into a marriage (possibly the girl isn't a wife material), but wants to keep her around until he goes into 40s and finds a wife material. Maybe enjoying his last few years of fun.

In addition, paying all expenses for the house (I am assuming?) when he is co-habitating with his gf and paying for her car seems too much of a beta provider to me.

That's a good point and if he is somewhat of a red pill like that, I don't see why he is providing so much financial stability for the girl. What is she bringing to the table besides looks, which will be gone in few years as she hits 30.
I am just assuming, but perhaps he is just purple pilled.

Yeah Ive been there in my beta days. I paid for her lodging, bought her a car, paid her bills, and I did it because I thought it would guarantee me her, but boy was I wrong. We only lasted like that for a year and cheated on me.

I actually am similar to your co worker in my thinking. I like to control the 8s during the time i smashing them, you never fully control them forever, just like a marriage is rarely forever. But during that time they do as i like.

Thats the game i intend to play. I will not marry. When im earning $2 mil a year plus, i will allocate about 2-3% for a main chic/harem budget. Its a lot cheaper then alimony and a woman taking half your wealth in a divorce court.

Everything on my terms. It is a power control thing. Do not give them enough so that they don't need you, just give them enough so they stay. US laws favour women in marriage breaks ups with the finances and the kids.

If he lost everything tomorrow in a real estate crash, she would be off within 3 months i bet. He probably knows that, its a fair exchange. Since the beginning of time its a exchange of money and beauty. Fuck the love shit.

OP said he is financially successful, so likely a few thousand here and a few thousand there doesn't mean anything to him. And if it is consequential, he views the satisfaction he derives from his gf to outweigh the cost of having a gf. It's only the cynic who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing.

if your earning $500k+ a year and have not found true love, i see nothing wrong with seeking a kept woman, as long as she is not into $5k handbags/$1k shoes/does not know the value of money, those girls are the worst. as long as her being kept is no more then 3% of your annual income it will not effect you, if your a smart investor.

If she leaves replace her.

I dated a woman who (in retrospect) I would now consider a trophy girlfriend. There was no end game to it.

It was about 10 years ago and I had been divorced for about 5 years at the time.

I was 41 when I met her and was just getting back on my feet financially, she was 24 at the time. She had massive fake tits courtesy of her former boyfriend (an Iranian dude). She lived downtown Toronto and always had trouble paying her rent. She had dubious jobs as a "club promoter" and other such nonsense. Depends on what you want out of life...

Having a trophy girlfriend definitely ups your social status professionally, if that's important to you. You'll always have a hot babe to take to events, and all your professional friends will say "oh la la he must have a 10 inch cock."

For the most part, I prefer these relationships. I'll provide money and adventure, but very little in terms of emotional investment. We'll travel, go out to nice dinners, go to interesting parties, etc., but don't expect me to return a text message or want to spend a night watching Netflix. My job is time consuming and stressful.

My ideal woman wouldn't work, and spend her time at my house raising children and at the gym. I don't need a deep emotional or intellectual connection. It would be nice if she had the ability to read meaningful literature and discuss it intelligently, but it's not a dealbreaker.

Funny I flirted with the notion of dating a "club promoter" a few years ago. She was drop dead gorgeous, natural tits and an ass made in the gym. For my co worker, social status is important to him. This might be the hottest girl he has ever dated, and showing her off to his clients, prospective clients, even his old college buddies, has been apart of the process. I know we have talked and he said he does not want her to ever have a career, however I told him to be mindful of the guys who orbit around her showing attn.

They are called a trophy for a reason...so when you have the trophy you also have to deal with lots of guys who also want that trophy.

I've been with some beautiful girls, and sometimes it's just a pain in the arse to take them anywhere because you have to deal with the idiots that want to stare at them, try to talk to them or just try to have a crack at you because they think it will impress the girl.

As much as I like beautiful women, I'm starting to not want the trophies and all the bullshit that goes with them.

Guys that pay everything for these girls are really just renting her for however long she wants to hang around. When she gets tired of you or gets a better offer she will fuck off and then you just go rent another one.

Not much different to P4P really.
