RE: Ripple (XRP)
Seems to me, that by the January, we are hitting potential, which was predicted for the end of 2018. And there are hints, which promise another rise (end of testing by asian banks in the end of Q1, David Schwartz tweet,...).

Anyway, I have a question. What´s good and reliable paper wallet? I don´t want to put my life-changing money on some fraud.

What´s good cashing out method? I have in mind this:
-Send XRP to Korean exchange and sell it for Korean money KRW (much better rate)
-For KRW buy LTC
-Send LTC to Coinmate
-At Coinmate exchange LTC for my currency and cash out (they have bank account in my country).

I know how you feel. I wanted to buy XMR and XRP a week ago. If I could have just figured out how the hell to do so I'd have tripled my investment already.

Do Koreans have access to non-korean exchanges?
If so then they will be making a killing with arbitrage.

Ok, this answers that.

As I am often reading that people around considering buying it now or not. I remember the moment, when I realized, that I must buy XRP right now. But I didn´t have any access to market with XRP and there were registrations closed, so I called my friend, that I immediately need to but it and he borrowed me his account and I ran home to my laptop. Few hours later I considered this extreme FOMO, but after it crossed 400% profit today, I am OK with my behaviour and I hope that something more will come out of it.

RE: Ripple (XRP)
XRP is rewriting the script. I expected it to be at this level half way through 2018.

Something else to keep in mind is that South Korea accounts for a large portion of the XRP volume. I've read reports that place the ROK XRP volume alone as more than Coinbase's entire trading operation. May be wise to take profits before the 20th.

After more market analysis I am feeling better about exiting XRP at $2 and putting it all in Cardano.

I expect Cardano to hit $100 in a year. It’s crypto 2.0.

Really, you expect it to have a $2.6 trillion market cap? You might want to think about that some more.

Quote:Coinmarketcap.com no longer counting Korean exchanges in Market cap calculations
Hey, figured I would let you all know that if you see a massive price drop it is most likely panic selling as coinmarketcap.com is no longer using Korean exchanges to deduce the market cap. This heavily hit XRP

This drop can produce a panic selling with some investor.

Remember last time when you said "I don't know why would anyone buy Ripple. Please tell me that you bought it to sell it asap."

I folded my money roughly %700 on Ripple after reading your advice. Since you're saying Cardano won't hit $100, I'll make sure to buy Cardano for sure now mrgreen

Is market cap a useful metric in crypto? I dont think it's as useful as with other assets. Thought experiment: I can ICO and created 3 trillion coins of BSCoin. Sell one to my friend for $1. Boom - 3tn market cap.

Surely other things like price dynamics, volume etc must be considered

Yeah you can do that with stocks too, though. People still use market caps in stocks.

Market cap is the default "price" in Crypto, since the number of coins can vary from the low thousands to the high hundreds of billions. It's not perfect but it's the best we've got.

Nope. That's a MC of $1 because your circulating supply is 1 coin.

That's how CMC calcs theirs as well. Only the circulating coins count towards MC.

And yes, I think it's a very important metric. It gives you an idea of how much room for growth the coin has.

RE: Ripple (XRP)
Been reading this thread. Personally I'm not a fan of Ripple and honestly most people I know who've been into crypto a long time feel the same way. It's centralized, coins can be frozen, and honestly all this "bank adoption" is really nothing more than small trials I don't see any serious use.

I've seen some videos recently by Jackson Palmer creator of Dogecoin and another cat I can't remember his name who owned an exchange. Both are essentially saying Ripple is garbage and is the furthest thing from what crypto should be or was meant to be, but at the same time don't let your idealogical hangups get in the way of making money.

In regarding bank adoption, I havn't thoroughly investigated this myself but the way it was explained to me is the head of tech and innovation at banks needs to show they are doing something so they give some speeches about "blockchain technology" and how they are embracing it, they do a small trial test run to pad their resume so they can show on their resume to future employers hey I brought crypto and blockchain technology to XYZ bank but in reality banks aren't really using the technology on a large scale and furthermore XRP tokens themselves have little to nothing to do with the actual technology the banks are using.

That said it's been a heck of a money maker. I've sold almost all my positions and taken the gains back to real coins and dumped a bit into Stellar for the upcomming pump.

One more thing about Ripple, I've recently heard the code isn't solid. Right now you only have about 50 notes running it in comparison to thousands of tens of thousands with other coins. right now it works because everyone "plays by the rules" however if you had a bad apple potentially it can be exploited. Now this may never happen since it's meant to be centralized and all that but just something to bring up.

RE: Ripple (XRP)
While Ripple/XRP definitely isn't a favorite it would be wise researching their tech, if only to be better educated about how their systems actually work and where they fit into the picture, other than relying on Twitter shills or diehard Bitcoiners which obviously don't see Ripple/XRP as a serious contender in the ecosystem. And wait, the Dogecoin creator which is a meme coin and will never have any real world application says it's "garbage" LOLLLL

The 'XRP can be frozen thing' has been debunked, you need to actually hear the developers explain how that works and it's not a literal translation. The rippled server is open source and can be viewed and analyzed by anyone competent to do so, and there are a ton of ACTUAL resources out there that validate operations unlike 90% of coins we are pumping and dumping.

Ripple can't freeze funds, but gateways like exchanges can. Just like they can freeze any coin you have. If you think that Ripple the company can 'freeze' your XRP you totally bought into the FUD 100%. Also remember that you have nothing at an exchange except an IOU that the exchange only processes when you withdraw.

The Youtube videos you reference are guys saying "YO THIS SUCKS" but not really anything to back it up with, so their opinions are just that. The bank guy just seemed butthurt about his experience working with banks.

Links to sources where the system can be exploited by a bad apple please, I would be interested to read up on that as I haven't seen that anywhere even with all the FUD posting.

I dumped my XRP but still interested in the tech and how this plays out.

This latest dip was a good time to get back in, XRP will go higher this year.

MoneyGram Shares Soar After Ripple Deal Announcement

Zero Hedge Wrote:Following unconfirmed reports last week of a partnership with Western Union, Ripple has announced a deal to work with MoneyGram. While Ripple barely moved on the news, MGI stock exploded higher.

As a reminder, MGI recently tumbled after CFIUS rejected its acquisition plans with an Alibaba-backed Chinese banking affilate.

As Fortune reports, the partnership will see MoneyGram pilot the use of XRP through a new Ripple service, called xRapid, designed to provide liquidity to financial institutions. In a release announcing the news, the companies touted the speed and efficiency of XRP:

XRP remains the most efficient digital asset for payments with transaction fees at just fractions of a penny, compared to Bitcoin fees of about $30 per transaction. Similarly, the average transaction time for XRP is 2-3 seconds with other top digital assets ranging from 15 minutes to an hour.

I'm fairly new to Crypto. Have some BTC and ETH, but have largely stayed away from XRP as I keep reading that Ripple doesn't necessarily need to use XRP as currency (except for a small amount for the transactions).

However, does the Moneygram news yesterday change all this? I'm guessing if 'Ripple & XRP' works fine for Moneygram, then businesses (being a conservative bunch) will simply follow suit, rather than risk experimenting with other coins?

Kraken....... it once took me 8 hours on that exchange to cancel an order... their site fucking sucks. But after Coinbase banned me for not telling them where my money comes from, it became my only option.

Look at these cunts now, start of fucking 2018 and they do this!
