RE: Ripple (XRP)
So are you guys holding long term on XRP. it was my heaviest alt. Bought a war chest at .20 and was thinking of selling at $2+. But I think it’ll go much higher this year. Possibly $50-100.

It’s a beautiful business concept. Yeah it’s centralized. Who cares. It works. The team has the ability to operate like the fucking FED with QE and buy backs. If you’re not a drug dealer or tax dodger there is no drawback to XRP.

***If you guys want to make a big buy and fund through Coinbase do a wire transfer, not ACH bank withdrawal a wire will hit same day***

1. Buy ETH on Coinbase
2. Send ETH to Binance
3. Trade ETH/XRP
4. Tx to cold wallet

$5-10 is more likely in the medium term.

A $50-100 coin price would imply a $4-8 trillion market cap.

Why do you share this FUD? I would like to know your reason. Because everything written there means nothing. I don´t see any arguments there. I know, that if you like to think about things with thath conspiracy mindset, you can say "Yes, that´s it, I know the truth!". But there´s not any fact, no argument. Why Ripple?
On the other hand, I can tell you some real facts against.
-Ripple is not an investment product, it´s a technology.
-Beside other cryptos, it has got real price. It´s price are potentially saved money for banks.
-Your few bucks means nothing here. This is about banks, not few nerds trying to overthrow banks. Actually the same for Bitcoin. Since it entered thousands digits, no one really cares about originall thought.
-Ripple is on the scene since 2012 and since the beginning, it has one clear purpose on which they are hard working.
-Ripple is hated by cryptocommunity.
-Coin with the highest market cap is not really suitable for pump and dump actions.

If you didn´t know, crypto is risky. We know we can loose whole investment. And I wouldn´t want to be the person who invested to BTC on recent ATH. If you want to share something, share something valuable, not this crap.

I see Ripple announcing new partnerships in the coming year and doubling current price levels.

Will solidify #2 spot and challenge BTC.

Strong hold for 2018.

I don't like Ripple's ability to dilute. I've seen the same BS from my penny stock days.

Partnerships or not, it's a great speculative play given it's price.

RE: Ripple (XRP)
That bankster conspiracy idea has one small problem with it, you can buy Ripple in cash, well here in Mexico anyway.

I bought some at 30 pesos, about ($1.50), just before the day it hit an ATH of around 65 pesos, and then came crashing down quickly, so I sold the same day around 50 pesos (about $2.50). The site crashed and my sell orders didn't go through in time to sell higher.

Billions of dollars just poured into it all of a sudden to overtake ETH, is that why people are suspicious about banks?

RE: Ripple (XRP)
Ripple crashed because of profit taking. It’s going to do that several times as it goes up in value. If it’s a long term hold you shouldn’t care.

If it’s a short term hold the. Do not buy unless you see it down by double digits. That’s people cashing out and a good time to buy in. Those same people who cash out are doing that.

The nice thing about XRP is that it has high ridiculous liquidity and even monthly quantitative easing and buy backs to prevent these crazy fluctuations.

- 75% of XRP is premined. 75%! Do you know what that means? They can cash in whenever they want to leave you with the bags (worthless tokens). It's also centralized and everything gets developed behind closed doors.
- The company behind Ripple, RippleLabs, has pivoted its business model 3(!) times, while they've been overloaded with VC dollars yet made zero profit.
- Ripple isn't even a cryptocurrency, it's a token to hustle fiat faster through the system. They're open about that, too. Ripple just wants to help banks do its bankster stuff quicker and cheaper.

Please tell me that you bought it to sell it asap.

I tripled my money with Ripple in 23 days. That's why I bought it and cashed my principle back just now. mrgreen

I took my principle and still folded my money %471 as of today.

I second the link. That guy writes some informative stuff with thorough research. I've more than tripled my crypto portfolio thanks to XRP. I was wanting to get into ADA too a few weeks ago, but didn't want to put even more money at the time....and it just took off! It's currently 5th in market cap.

I don't care if Ripple is some evil jewish bankster conspiracy. I just want to make money, I'm not going to idealism get in the way of that, so that isn't going to deter me from buying it. Too many nerds and anti-government people being led by their feelings instead of their brain.

However the fact that a small amount of people own 75% of it and could crash the price at any time makes me nervous. Also since the all time high it's just gone down and stayed there, so I sold all of mine.

Now I'm just watching Ethereum catching back up again to the second spot.

Also no banks have agreed to use this token, if anything people should be investing in the company, not this coin.

Lol yeah if banks and governments win this struggle, it won't matter that you made some money trading Ripple... they'll take it back from you with inflation, taxes, confiscations, engineered crashes and so forth... getting out of the banking system isn't emotional idealism, it's very pragmatic. We either get free from the bank or we continue to be slaves (with ever decreasing freedom).

That said, don't worry. The banks will not win this one.

To realize how insane this is,
you should know that:

GDP of these entire countries in an entire year:

Japan 4,9 trillion

Germany 3,4 trillion

United Kingdom 2,6 trillion

France 2,4 trillion

India 2,2 trillion

Broke the $3 mark a few hours ago, hovering around $3.20.

Time to buy or you think it will drop back below $3?

Ill go on record and say XRP is this year's ETH. People complain about the owner controlling half the shares, at least the dude is a (m/b)illionaire who is promoting his company all over the place. Most of these coins could be run by AI or some sketchy underground fuck who paid someone on fiver to create a blog/white page/slack group, and you will never see any sort of "product" developed.

From what I can tell Kraken is basically unusable right now and has been for at least a week. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Makes me hesitate to use it. On the other hand I was so close to buying in to both XRP and XMR last week.

I don’t know why I listened to posts complaining about XRP being owned by the establishment/banks. I sold out under $2. With a nice 10x return. But shit look at it now over $3.

Hey I'm the flip side of that coin. I wanted to buy in at $1 but I'm a newb and couldn't figure it out. Still struggling and not sure whether or not I should pull the trigger if I do at this point.

RE: Ripple (XRP)
Wait for the sell off. Last weekend it shot up to $2.50 then went down to 1.60! Profit taking crashes the market.

Especially when one or two big whale sells pop off. They fill all at once hundreds of the little $100-$1000 buy orders from newbies. Then there’s a huge dip that takes days to recover.

Start paying attention to the orders box AND the candles. You’ll see a huge red candle every time a huge sell is fulfilled. You’ll see a huge green one every time a huge buy is fulfilled.

I’ve actually been able to manipulate other coins with a much smaller market cap by selling/buying ridiculously huge blocks. It’s sad but this is the way the market works. Someone posted a magic meme. It’s not magic.

Crypto may be a new asset class but the marketplace transactions are the same as stocks. But maybe with less regulation and quality control.

Knuckleheads going all in at once or selling out all at once is not something you see much in the regular markets. But it happens all the time in crypto. You guys should start considering how to stagger your buy and sells. Also DCAing and watching for 5 min a day.

I appreciate the advice. Maybe that will give me time to figure out how to buy in from my location (Central America).

Are the orders box and candles you mentioned on the ripple home page or something like that?

They would be on the exchange that you buy XRP on

RE: Ripple (XRP)
You’ll also notice how flat the market is sometimes. Check out the order boxes. You’ll see why.

The sellers have one price and the buyers all have another. Sometimes the difference is only a few pennies. But no one wants to budge!

Sometimes I’m bored waiting on transactions or whatever. I’ll go in and make a few trades to kickstart these flat markets. It’s not magic.

One thing you’ll notice as you make larger and larger trades is that you become the whale. It’s been crazy to realize that some of my alt coin trades can now effect an entire exchange if I’m not careful to stagger them.

However this is also beneficial if you’re looking to take a taste of profit, cause a ten percent fall, and immediately buy back in. Just be careful to scan all the buy/sell orders to make sure exactly how much your fulfilling.

It’s not magic. If the market is moving slow enough you can pretty much make an exact calculation on how big a price pump/dump you’ll make. Then have your re-buy/sell already in place to trigger. It’s kinda funny that you can do this with crypto.

That’s why we have licensed traders for stocks. To prevent assholes from doing this and fucking with the market all day long. Although supercomputers now do it soooo...

I wasn't very clear.

Most of the coins I have seen are nothing more than a wordpress blog, white paper, social media accounts, and buzzwords.

There is very little evidence of a business model or revenue stream.

They all look and sound very similar.

As if an automated program spit them out, changing a few words here and there, a few layouts here and there, etc.

Top 5 Gainers right now:

XRY https://xry.io/#about
SNOV https://tokensale.snov.io/
GEO https://geocoin.cash/
WRC https://worldcore.com/?stage=1
WINK doesn't even have a website/blog

Not a single one of those appears to have a real business or way to generate revenue. They only exist because they have a well put together blog and sell a coin. Something that an automated program, or a dude with a laptop in a cafe, could put together in a few hours.

Ripple, on the other hand, appears to be a real business, with a real CEO, with real technology, and a potential for real revenues.

Feel like buying this now, I got kind of pissed off at Kraken and gave up on this whole thing months ago. I was going to buy ETH in July, now I have the fear of missing out on this as well. I had to start a new account at an exchange and I hope they verify it soon, I need to transfer the funds ASAP.
