No, that is not a lean-in. As you can see, his attention is focused on something off-camera, not Melania.

He is relaxed and showing some affection to his wife who, as we saw in the previous shot, had in fact turned to kiss him while he just lounged there. The arm over the shoulder is likely not mate guarding in this situation. They are clearly relaxed and appear to be in some sort of relaxed and semi-intimate environment. In that case what you're seeing isn't some kind of mate guarding move it is simply a gesture of affection and masculine dominance.

I'm all for good body language but I have to say that some of the analysis of body language on this forum goes way too far. It can resemble micro-picking.

By that sort of logic, any time a man gets angry, stressed (often for good reason), or moves his shoulders a centimeter from the perfect upright position, he's a beta.

Frankly I wouldn't call it micro-picking, I'd simply call it a mistaken analysis that failed to properly identify the specific body language displayed and failed to properly account for context.
