The time we have
I've maybe read too much Roosh, but he's convinced me that we are at the last cycle of our civilization before it collapses.

It makes perfect sense that it must end in order for it to regrow healthier and for true progress towards righteous ideals be made. It should rather be seen as a good thing, but we should have a clearer idea of what we can expect from the near future.

There will for sure be a crash in the next decade or two, and it may be large enough where it leads to a war that can reset our mindset and civilization. Wars have a unifying effect and I think that can solve many of our problems.

Do any of you have theories on what our timeline looks like?

RE: The time we have
You read too much Roosh. There was a civil war in this country, the Great depression, two World Wars, and the specter of communism. Things are not great but they have been far worse, focus on improving your lot in life rather than impending collapse, you will be happier.

When I read the title of this thread, I thought of the same thing as Atlanta Man: focus on your own life, and make most of the time you have in this life. Now I need to go do that too...

Do any of you have theories on what our timeline looks like?

What is a collapse to one group is an opportunity to another. African Americans for example got their budding civilization trashed 400 years ago... then only got a chance to start rebuilding on a European framework 150 years ago... then collapsed again 60 years ago... and are again currently rebuilding. I think if we are being honest this particular group has such huge issues between the genders their best option is to marry out. Only about 30-40% of intelligent successful black men I know marry black women. That number is higher once you leave the middle classes though.

My point being that what some groups see as a collapse of culture, is to another person an opportunity to rise up. I mean if Islam actually did take over some western country like Sweden... they would just impose laws that make life BETTER FOR MEN. Islam at one point had a golden age and has proven that it can help make societies rich and prosperous.

Here is what I believe. A mild government debt fueled economic collapse is probably coming in the next 30 or 40 years for many countries. I think it will result in higher taxes for the middle classes, and fuck over retirees and people living on the dole. Beyond that, technology will still advance and life will go on. In terms of a social collapse... my advice is to go with the flow and game whatever system they bring in. I see Tavis Smiley lost his show for sexual harassment. He was smug and stupid. This means his slot is open for another person to take. See how that works?

Like AtlantaMan counseled... focus on making YOUR future bright. Hit the gym, create a career in a growth field, invest wisely, try to make yourself location independent. Do those things and you can survive anything and let our society fuck itself to death.

If you don't have any hardcore beliefs... like what... 60% of the USA, then you just convert and go with the flow. Take advantage of the 4 wife thing and try to restrain yourself when smacking them around.

If you have a serious belief system like Christianity or Judiasm... you will have to pay a special tax and you can't own weapons. Second class citizenship as a Christian isn't that much worse than second class citizenship as a man under the current system.

Hindus and Buddhists might be fucked. Likely they would eventually be beheaded and their women shared among the faithful.

Just look on the bright side. All those fat obnoxious feminists will be told to shut up or face public stoning. Blush

I would not be giving up freedom so easily. You might want to rethink this.

- A regular Joe like me is not getting 4 wives in islam.

- If I have a serious belief system, I don't want any Islamic or secular government controlling me. I want non-essential governing authorities out of my spiritual life.

- If hindus and buddhists are fucked than anyone else is subject to a life of misery unless they kiss the ring of islam. This is why I prefer a constitution with freedom of religion

- As much as I dislike fat feminists, I find their mass slaughter abhorrent. We have all the tools in our free society to resolve this cultural hiccup without wholesale murder. How about self-improvement, running game and MAGA?

- I don't want islam doing the work that us regular American men can accomplish on our own.

Ben Franklin's quote still relevant today:
“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

RE: The time we have
Yes, collapse is very much looming but it's due to environmental issues that most here don't take seriously.

For instance, part of the manosphere eschatology is that the dysfunction of male/female relations will cause birth rates to plummet and we'll have a population implosion. This flies in the face of statistics that shows the earth's population continuing to grow and that it's already so high that we're sucking the earth's resources dry well above the rate of replenishment.

I'm not going to belabor the above point because I know I'm in the minority on this one, but maybe a few people here will do a little more research with an open mind.

Not all of the world's problems can be laid at the feet of women.

No one denies that over-population can be bad (especially if technology cannot keep up with providing a quality life) but you're forgetting that the people who contribute the most to the world (high IQ, responsible people) are the ones with the lowest birthrates.

What we have is idiocracy in action; I believe most men here want to see a return where the responsible and virtuous have healthy family sizes (2-3 kids) while the selfish and irresponsible have no kids at all. That would solve overpopulation quite easily.

If current trends keep up, we will have a population implosion - once the provider humans are completely outnumbered by the leeches, then the poor simply starve to death en masse. Not a good outcome, could easily be fixed with proper government and education policy, but it's obvious our elites don't give two fucks if such a thing were to occur.

RE: The time we have
The notion that you can just ignore macro trends and "focus on improving yourself" is bollocks. How can you determine the proper way to "improve yourself" without taking into account which way the world is heading? I don't have the time to wax poetic on this right now, but here's a very basic illustration.

If you're 18 years old and deciding how to proceed with your life, having some concept of societal/systemic stability is necessary data to help you decide whether you should pursue the long game of medicine/law etc for maximum lifetime career efficiency, or if you should jump straight into make hay while the sun shines mode to get as prepared as possible before an incoming meltdown happens. There is no point to gear up for a payoff that will come no sooner than a decade hence if you've only got 5 years, nor is there a point to prep for a collapse that never comes.

I know someone is going to object to this with the claim that nobody can see the future so you might as well just do what you wanna do, but that's a cop-out. You've got the responsibility to yourself to make the most informed decision possible. Can you predict exactly what's going to happen? Of course not. Is it a good idea to bank on a long and fruitful 30 year career as a truck driver in 2017? Probably not. As societal tensions rise, is it wise to keep track and do your best to make sure you're somewhere safe if or when the machetes come out? I'd say so.

It will happen, but nobody can predict when. The only thing you can do is to assure youself that you have enough guns and ammunition and then go enjoy the rest of your life.

Yea sometimes I wonder if it's better to be blissfully naïve and shrug off any bad news the way women seem to.

It cracks me up hearing anyone under 40 even talk about retirement as I'm sure at minimum there will be a financial meltdown before you could theoretically retire anyways, and more than likely another global war that destroys most infrastructure. You can't even hold a job for more than 5 years without some cataclysmic change in your industry that displaces your job one way or another.

We're in the final stages of relative comfort and luxury where you can ignore problems less and less. It's bizarre how many Americans are blind to the decay around them.

Honestly this isn't a far assessment, you really have no idea if things are better or worse than in the past.

In many ways things are far worse, especially in regards to women, but in terms of creature comfort they've never been better.

Some men will like this time more, other men will like this time less.

But most importantly you cannot predict the future, no one can, we could be just a few years away from massive economic collapse and war. No one has any idea.

However, there is no point in worrying about such things. Worrying never helps. Do ya best, and let God worry 'bout the rest.

Matthew 6

Quote:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I think from an evo-psych perspective women are adapted to concern themselves with home and hearth and jockying for local social status. Guys are the ones adapted to constantly scanning the dark woods for threats.

When "home and hearth" is just a THOT ducking in and out of Starbucks and getting manicures and taking the dog for grooming, it's going to seem like a very insular and selfish outlook on life compared to guys spending time thinking about national policy, geopolitical tension, bubble economics, etc...

But it's easy to maintain the power of positive thinking when you have so little responsibility for keeping the wheels of greater society functioning.

Some very interesting viewpoints on the matter. I agree that the vast majority of posters aren't strict ideologues nor do they have any strong vested interest on any side and as such the best and most prudent approach would be to 'game the system', whatever it is.

If we do descend into brutal civil war and anarchy there will be few winners among us to be honest (kiss the pussytrain goodbye boys) and I do pray that we can hold it together at least for a couple of decades. There is still much to see and to do. Further, I believe most here to be too rational and intelligent to truly find common cause with any of the prospective sides to the likely conflict. I do find the idea of some sort of a foreign base (perhaps in Colombia or SEA) enticing given the ever growing domestic uncertainties in much of the western hemisphere, though financial constraints prevent this in my case atm.

RE: The time we have
Federalist Papers had the republic lasting about 150 years, so be fortunate that we lasted this long. Given the national debt as it is and no one is addressing it, I would contend that the decline is happening, and I would believe it to be partially by design or at the least accidentally convenient. I don't believe that we will have a situation like the Weimar Republic where the whole country went down all together, but more like how the Roman Empire broke apart. What most likely will happen is that states that are relatively functional will break apart from the thoroughly dysfunctional ones as they get fed up pulling their weight and the weight of the deadbeats, either by a civil war or through a civil separation like what you see with the Brexit. This means that you should most likely look at states that are well run and have real assets and property in those states if you can. When is it going to happen, hell if I know, but just in case start saving up for a cabin in Montana or Tennessee. Outside of that, enjoy the decline.
