True story:

Many years ago I worked in the lab at an optical store/optometry practice. Sometimes I had to cover the reception desk for the optometrist, Sam. We all had standing orders from Sam that, in the event a hot girl came in for an eye exam, we needed to warn him before he examined her. This was called a "Goldentoe alert" because he would literally stuff a rolled-up sock into his underwear.

Possibly the greatest man I ever worked for.
