But aside from a few public appearances are they really carrying on like this behind closed doors? Who knows if the adopted African children don't just get handed off to a Nanny half the time.

Someone who appears normal can be crazy behind closed doors. Somebody who appears crazy could be doing it as a stunt. If you spend too much time second guessing everything you see and hear I'd say your priorities are maybe a little...misplaced.

In the meantime, I feel I have a pretty good sense of when to take something at face value and this does not strike me as "stage persona" theatrics ala Katy Perry or Lady Gaga wearing a meat-dress.

I always found her masculine gait to be off-putting. As the years have rolled by, she's become even more of a feminist. Even the name "Pink" is seditious: i.e. trying to mix the feminine with the masculine. I think that Grey would be a better name for her.
