Grunerlokka or Karl Johans Gate?

I'm planning a trip to Oslo for something in 2018 - likely spring or summer. Looking to book stuff now. Whats the best place to stay if you're looking to be around beautiful women and nightlife? I understand Grunerlokka is the hipster type of area. What about Karl Johans Gate?

Looking for places thats walking distance from the best venues. Budget isnt a problem.

Regarding your question, I don´t think that it´s many apartments available in Karl Johans Gate (downtown). Its not a place where people live.

Grünerløkka is a good alternative. Oslo is so small that everything is in walking distance.

Grunerloka is a good place with cafes and bars, and close to everything. You can pretty much walk everywhere there or if you need take a trem, they're really fast.
Karl johans gate is a big street with stores and restaurants, that street in particular doesn't have much accommodation. Try the streets around it.
I would prefer grunerloka tho

Karl Johans Gate is roma and beggar central. Avoid.

Grünerløkka seems like where I will stay and go out. Spoke to some girls on Tinder and they said its the hipster area with good bars. They also mentioned Lokka and Youngstorgot , but said Grünerløkka is very good.
