I listen to Hot 97 and occasionally Power 105.1 on my way to work every morning. For those who don't know, these are the two main FM hip-hop radio stations in NYC and the #2 and #3 most listened to rap stations in the country.

Hot 97 was updating the audience about the latest Hollywood sexual misconduct news, so I switched over to Charlamagne's morning show instead. He usually comes through for me and is (was?) one of the rawest, inappropriate personalities on the air. Constantly creeps on his hot female guests. Personally I think he's funny.





I turned the dial just in time to hear him give a full 3 minute monologue about rape culture, the evils of objectifying women, and how deeply sorry and misinformed he is for the way he has talked and acted in the past.

I listened to the whole piece just to make sure he didn't say "lol jk" at the end. He didn't. I was shocked that the PC culture could reach that far that fast.

Of course, both stations are playing this as soon as they finish their progressive bullshit chatter:







Although I admittedly love listening to it, it's no secret hip-hop and related media are the most ridiculous contradictions in existence. Rap music is more popular than ever, and the rapper with the most sexist, violent, drug abuse-promoting lyrics usually wins. However, in a climate where no one famous is safe from sexual assault allegations, something is going to have to give with the dueling messages hip-hop is putting out. Will anything be done to stop Rick Ross from rapping about spiking a girl's drink and then smashing while she's fucked up or openly acknowledging in an interview that he'd expect to fuck any woman signed to his label?

Who do you think is going to back down first? Gangstas or feminists?

Fake/ studio gangsters were never about shit. Real people stane by their values even when its not trendy. Dude is a radio host what did you expect. When I see 40 water or 2 short making apologies about how they treated women or what they said to them I'll know that the culture is not just fucked like it is now but actually doomed.

Regardless of who goes down, we haven't even reached peak hoedom yet, as Cardi B makes Nicki Minaj look like Taylor Swift. 5 years from now rap will be about the same shit as it is now.

Yeah i used to love listening to the breakfast club at work a few years ago, but since early 2016 they've been getting more and more into the PC culture.
They've had LBTQ people on there promoting their garbage as well as trans people talking about how being with a transwoman doesn't make you gay etc...
They are the "fake" controversy. Only allowed to say the pre-approved slightly un-pc things.
There was even a bit of a debate about whether or not it was rape if a transwoman has sex with a man but doesn't tell him. Angela Yee was so badly trying to take the said of the transwoman etc but the other guys wouldn't stand for it.

Meh.this is one o the reasons i listen to undeground rap .none of that hushmush that comes along with mainstream music.just strictly rap.

A lot of underground rap is SJW/communist. Particularly "conscious" rap. There is some good stuff out there. Personally I go for 90s over underground.

I also like all the ignorant trap shit, I mostly listen to that these days. I think the rappers are able to promote sexism, drugs, crime, etc because they are black. Eminems prime material (slim shady and marshall mathers lp) would get his concerts attacked by antifa these days.

Most of the rap labels are owned by jews. So no, they have no qualms about the cognitive dissonance of their leftist causes.

They conditioned the proletariat to hold two conflicting - or even contradictory- ideas in their heads while believing both at the same time. So:

WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH

I'm sure there are direct corollaries from communist Russia and other societies going back in history, but I'll leave it here.
