RE: The GOP Civil War
(11-14-2017 02:02 PM)Menace Wrote:  The GOP is worse than the Democrats because at least the Democrats are the ostensible opposition and they actually try to make things happen. The GOP is supposed to be conservative, but they are absolutely not. They have given up, or actually believe in, the culture shaped by Democrats. They don't care about the working class (of any color), and they have absolutely no killer instinct EXCEPT to protect the status quo. They will go to the mats for that. Why?

Because that's how they want DC to work, as it has "worked" for many years. It doesn't really matter (to them) who's in power. If it's GOP, then great, easier to get "contributions" to advance their anti-American globalist agenda (well that's Dems too). If Dems in power, that's ALSO great. Because then they can get contributions to defeat those nasty Dems so they can get back into power. Meanwhile, they leave politics and go to work for lobbying groups and law firms, and there is always a need to have contacts with either the party in power or the opposition. It's a no-lose proposition basically.

That's why they fight Trump so hard. They have a nice racket going, and it is hard to make a man understand something when his paycheck/access to power depends on him not understanding it. I will quote the late, great General Smedley Butler on what a racket is (although his definition is in the context of a war, it applies here as well):

"A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small "inside" group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many."

Sounds familiar, right?

This. I used to think the opposite when the Neo Cons were in power during the bush years. . .well opposite in terms that the Repubs were the ones working together and the Dems were falling apart.

I realize that it's most like the corrupt leaders working together because they have to, as a lot of entities they work for that aren't the american people probably have a lot over them to force them to fall in line. The Non-corrupt either see this, or are naiive and dont. In any case, it stops them from organizing as well as the corrupt do.

The swamp is a LOT bigger than Trump initially thought. is it too late? possibly, it might have been too late when Trump got into office, it just depends on what he and sessions does.

More and more I believe that draining the swamp takes priority. there are a LOT of issues of corruption that have gone on for far too long.

I just donated $100 directly to Moore: https://www.roymoore.org/Support-Judge-Moore/

Nothing is ever going to change if all they have to do is trot out the #metoo bogeyman with these baseless accusations at the last minute, for some he said / she said shit from 40 years ago.

Even Drudge is against Moore, because apparently (((Drudge))) has beef against Bannon. Bannon and (((Kusher))) did not get along, and so now we get headlines like this:

Not gonna lie, it's looking bad for Moore. Feels like he has no friends, will Bannon be able to turn this around? Bannon says he's 1000% behind Moore, and is still in Japan this week. When he gets back, what will the game plan be?

RE: The GOP Civil War
I'm not so sure on Moore at the moment. I listened to his interview on Hannity's radio show and he didn't sound totally innocent.

Answers like "It would be outside of my customary behavior" seem different than a resounding "No."

My first instinct was it was a hit job, but now I'm leaning towards some partial credibility in the accusations. Some of the accusations seems over the top, but it's seems like a mix of lies and partial truth at this point.

He also claimed that he didn't know the woman who produced the yearbook, so it's either forged or he lied and he did in fact know her.

Need more evidence to make a decision. But if Moore is lying about the more severe accusations, Bannon has every reason to get rid of him and then play damage control.

Hannity turning against him and Trump's silence are both kind of damning. If Moore did a better job of defending himself I think this would have gone very differently.

RE: The GOP Civil War
There are only two possible scenarios in this case. Moore is either an evil stone cold pedophile sociopath or this is a timely hit job by an evil establishment. Moore volunteered for Vietnam and got into Westpoint, he then becomes a DA. He then allegedly turns into a creepy pedo in his early 30's before marrying a single mother and having three kids. He has never had any legal issues or any other scandals until a US senate election in which neither side wants him to win. This guy won MULTIPLE state elections while allegedly being a "well known creep?" I got some bridges to sell anyone that believes that crap.

Evil and immoral people will have other scandals or behavior that haunts them. Bill Clinton had a lifetime of allegations, shady business deals, financial scams and timely "suicides." We are expected to believe that Moore was normal outstanding citizen then a creep then a normal citizen again. His wife stands behind him 100% which means more to me than when Hilldog or Huma Alterrorist(weiners wife) stood behind their husbands. Hilldog and Huma still had political ambitions and didn't want to be sunk by a ruined husband, Moore's wife would be hailed a hero if she left him.

The establishment right and all of the left have reached an evil secular place. Ask yourself this. If you thought abortion and fag marriage was a "right" wouldn't you do whatever it took to sink a candidate that threatens your "lifestyle." Labeling Trump a pussy grabber wasn't enough, pedophilia is one of the last character assassination tools evil has left. They view sinking Moore with these evil allegations is justified because of the alleged "evil"(moral law and standards) that he poses towards them.

RE: The GOP Civil War
I do not for a single second believe any of the accusations, nor do I think there is anything wrong with dating women who are "barely" the legal age. For God's sake, where are these moral crusaders on porn? Porn is full of 18-year olds whoring themselves out, but for a successful man to ask one out on a date and kiss her is now creepy? Hypocrisy is off the charts here.

That said, I do not feel like Moore is handling this as well as he could. He needs to be more spontaneous in handling these accusations, and calling out the accusers. He needs to point out the obvious bullshit inconsistencies of dating 18-year old women and calling it "dating teenagers" to retake the frame in order to win.

Right now, I don't see Moore retaking the frame. He still can, but each day that passes without a strong press conference or at least a major speech on this subject is a wasted day. Moore will lose many voters he could have saved had he a better response to these allegations, and these lost votes may cost him victory even though it's all bullshit.

Lots of Americans don't realize this, and the left is relying on that ignorance to try to convince the public that Moore has been accused of sex crimes by four different women, blah blah blah.

As stated earlier, the only accusations which matter legally are those involving girls under the age of consent, regardless of what anyone thinks about an older guy dating a 16 year old. It was legal then and remains so now in Alabama.

The mistaken belief in a federal age of consent of 18 is actually the minimum age for pornography and, in the very few places where it is legal at the local level, prostitution (same thing, really). Other than that, it's up to the states to determine age of consent laws. Even then there are nuances prohibiting relationships with people in positions of power over the younger person such as teachers, etc.

Years ago congressmen Gerry Studds was caught having a consensual gay affair with a 17 year old congressional page. He was "censured" by the house (i.e., nothing happened) and his supporters gave him a standing ovation back in his home district in Massachusetts.

Ever since around that time, the rules have been different for homosexuals and they've only become more slanted in their favor over the years.

RE: The GOP Civil War
This whole thing regarding Roy Moore is starting to fall apart for the accusers and the detestable Gloria Allred. Moore's lawyer had a press conference and he basically told Allred to cough up the yearbook in question belonging to Beverly Nelson so that it could be forensically examined to show whether the supposed signature of Roy Moore was forged or not. All the pics I've seen of it online look completely forged to me. Along with that, get this, this chick was suing her husband for divorce in 1999. The judge presiding over her case: Roy Moore!

Moore's lawyer believes that Nelson got the signature forgery from the signed divorce judgement which had Roy Moore's signature on it. In fact the yearbook signature had the initials DA after Roy Moore's name on it. Well guess what? The dumb bitch included the initials D.A. on the forgery thinking that Roy Moore was the district attorney at the time so it would make sense but in reality the DA on the divorce paper was the initials of Moore's assistant at the time, Delver Adams who annotated his initials after a stamp of Roy Moore's signature on this bitch's divorce papers (this is always done when the person themselves is not actually signing a document). Of all people, Wolf Blitzer on CNN confronted Allred about all of this and she was shifty and shaky as hell. She stated that she would not release the yearbook to Moore's attorney to examine which tells me she knows its bogus. She was flat out lying and Blitzer knew it ( and shockingly pushed her aggressively). Moore's lawyer stated that they plan on suing at which time Allred would have to produce the yearbook for forensic analysis.

This whole thing is so crazy but the tide has turned and I think Roy Moore will win big. He's not backing down and is going after McConnell on twitter. Dems and GOPe are desperate to keep outsider, Bannon candidates who will work with Trump, from getting elected. So wild.

On the other hand, Moore's initial attorney is a slip-and-fall shitlawyer who did not attend an ABA-accredited law school. His demand letter is half gibberish.

Quote:Your client’s organization has made and/or supported defaming statements. This is due to the careless and/or intentionally refused to advance the truth regarding our clients. We also believe that your client, by and through its agents, have damaged our clients by being careless in how they handle headlines and report the contextual of the allegations....Thus, do you know this clearly, yet significant difference which your client’s publication(s) have failed to distinguish. And the legal requirement that your client retract the stories, to include the details which clearly are false.

That a state supreme court justice running for United States Senate would hire him makes no sense until you dig a little and find...

http://churchofthecoast.com/people/trent...-garmon-2/

...the lawyer is also an oddball pastor.

Being a bumpkin doesn't automatically make him wrong, but while I agree that this is all craziness and sketchy as hell, I wouldn't overestimate their ability to mount a viable defense. It's downright weird that Moore would rely on someone like that, unless, of course, his case is turning out to be so strange and flimsy that he's being rejected by other firms.

(I don't know much about the other lawyer handling the signature claims. Apparently, he's been attached to Moore for a long time.)

It's an election. What people think really is what matters. Not just in Alabama, but to the rest of the GOP and whether or not they're willing to be seen associating with him. When you've got the daughter of the President of the United States, from your own party, responding to questions about you with the phrase "there's a special place in hell for people who prey on children", you've probably already lost the "but she was Alabama-legal" argument.

Thing is, even if Moore wins, the Senate will just expel him, which means the GOP governor would appoint a replacement until another election is held. Which means Strange would probably stay in and could win outright this time.

The hell happened to Mo Brooks? He's the guy. Should another special election come up, Bannon and his cohorts should go all in on him.

Fmr Gadsden Mall Manager on Roy Moore: ‘To My Knowledge, He Was Not Banned From the Mall’

Quote:In an appearance on Birmingham FOX affiliate WBRC6 on Wednesday, Barnes Boyle, who was the manager of the Gadsden Mall from 1981 to 1996, said he had no memory of former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore being banned from that mall.

A report from The New Yorker magazine published earlier this week claimed Moore had been banned while Boyle was the mall’s manager.

“Sure, it was part of the job,” Boyle said. “We did have written reports and things. But to my knowledge, he was not banned from the mall.

Moore, the Republican candidate in the December 12 special election for U.S. Senate, has been under increased scrutiny in recent days as allegations have surfaced accusing Moore of sexual misconduct in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

I noticed some headlines were changed to "may have been banned" from mall.

Now it is time to wait for all of the fake news media outlets to redact the mall story...

RE: The GOP Civil War
Roy going hard now:

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/...ore-event/

Great video of Roy speaking in the above link.

Quote:“One thing I want to see happen in our country is unity,” Moore said. “I said I wanted to see unity. I never dreamed that I would succeed even before I got elected. But I have unified the Democrats and the Republicans in fighting against me because they don’t want me there. As you know, The Washington Post has brought some scurrilous false charges, not charges, allegations, which I have emphatically denied time and time again. They are not only untrue, but they have no evidence to support them.”

“Two of the speakers up here said words that I caught one said ‘unsubstantiated,’ and another said ‘unproven.’ Another said they were ‘fake,’” he continued. “All of that is true. And The Washington Post is certainly not evidence. What I want to do in this campaign is very simple is get back to the issues, which some are avoiding addressing. I haven’t had one question from the press or the media about issues in this case since these allegations have occurred. What is important is how we address the future of this country. And by cutting taxes, rebuilding our military, repealing Obamacare and putting good judges and justices on the federal and Supreme Court of the United States. We have to stop judiciary supremacy, or we are losing our form of government.”

Moore also criticized McConnell, who backed Moore’s primary opponent Sen. Luther Strange (R-AL) in the two rounds of voting to determine who would get the GOP nod. Moore doubled down on a tweet posted by his campaign and said McConnell should be the one to step down.

“Many of you have recognized that this is an effort by Mitch McConnell and his cronies to still this election from the people of Alabama, and they will not stand for it,” Moore proclaimed. “They overcame $30 million and voted me in the primary. And now they are trying a different tactic. They even, well, the other day we got one big magazine that you all recognize if I say the name — I don’t want to say it, but they got a call that said asked me to step down from the campaign. Well, I want to tell you who needs to step down: That’s Mitch McConnell.”

Glad he's found his balls. Between these kind of speeches, and twitter trolling, Roy can take this thing.

Quote:Thing is, even if Moore wins, the Senate will just expel him, which means the GOP governor would appoint a replacement until another election is held. Which means Strange would probably stay in and could win outright this time.

I seriously doubt this will happen. GOPe will look extremely bad the entire country over, virtually guaranteeing massive losses in all primaries across the country.

What is occurring to Roy Moore with respect to these false accusations is a hit job directed by the Deep State (led in this case by Mitch "the turkeyneck" McConnell to be exact). Mitch, the RINOs and the Dems are conspiring to screw over Roy Moore over the seat because they know he is on board the Trump train.

Furthermore, I think someone needs to come up with a rule stating that if a scandal happenstances onto a politician who is committed to "Draining The Swamp", then he/she is legit. This would be similar to if a woman publicly smears a man for rape without going to the police first then it is bullshit.

While I don't think Roy Moore handled the Hannity interviews perfectly, his current Twitter strategy of "Welcome to Day #4 of Gloria Allred not turning over the yearbook" is dead perfect.

I was never worried about Roy Moore, because I never forgot he only needs to convince Alabama voters. Fuck the national news, fuck all out of state politicians.

Mitt Romney released this hours after the very first accusation against Roy Moore.

And the anti-Moore "Real Conservative" cucks are completely unwilling to discuss the refusal to provide the yearbook. They can't go more than two tweets with a Moore-defender without blocking or calling names and withdrawing.

I hope Roy Moore wins this, as a gigantic fuck you to his, haters, especially the media.
