What the hell kind of advice is that? Terrible advice. I can only imagine what you call game.

Part of game would be acquire charisma, charm, and having friends. If he has none, it should not excuse him from going out solo.

What about the weekend before, this year nye is on a sunday so would people be staying in on fri and sat?
Lets suppose one is staying in a hotel over the coming weekend? How could he spend fri and sat nights in terms of planning between the hotel bars, city bars and the clubs?

Hey guys, I will be traveling Scotland during the year end period. What would be your plan to get some action on NYE if you are visiting Scotland solo and might end up at Edinburgh or Glasgow for NYE. Am kind of done staying in hostels so how would low end hotels like Accorhotels/Ibis for example be? They usually don't have a bar or any common areas to socialize with other guests but you got your own room close to city center.

The best bet is house parties as mentioned earlier but if you are new to the city you may not know people. How would you structure NYE in terms of meeting people and going out? Common advise is to avoid the clubs but are cocktail bars any better and what might be an optimal time to go out?

Cheers
