No female vocalist encapsulates the Madonna/Whore dichotomy more effectively than Stevie Nicks. It is said that her voice is Texas gravel wrapped in wrapped in velvet. We all know what a notorious slut she was, but no other voice seems to say "I'm a little girl at heart, but I just happen to be an adult so fuck me" with more power.

If you happen to be from Montgomery County, MD then few things can be more irksome than the constant incorrect pluralization of the city of Silver Spring. I expect that much of it is due to the popularity of Fleetwood Mac.

Sitting on the plane home for the holiday, with two women in the window and middle seats next to me.

The one in the middle seat was around 70, but in excellent shape for that age. Healthy looking, proportions and posture like a much younger woman, collar-length silver hair, tastefully dressed. Spent half the flight reading a book on her kindle/tablet thing, neatly arranged on her seat tray, with feet curled up under her. Apologized to me for the inconvenience both times she had to get out to use the lav.

The one in the window seat was a college senior (assume 22, didn't look older than that) majoring in music education. Overweight but not quite obese, Uggs and flannel yoga pants, sweatshirt in a clashing color, looked like she'd just rolled out of bed, no care for her appearance at all. Working on a Macbook plastered with stickers most of the flight. At the cuff of her right sleeve, I could see a number of thin scars going crosswise and a couple lengthwise (i.e.: she was a "cutter" at some point). So, a pretty run-of-the-mill modern college girl.

Big generational difference in femininity. But bigger still when they started talking during the last half hour or so of the flight.

The older woman spoke in a soft, pleasant, well-paced voice using proper enunciation and full sentences, made her points concisely and clearly, and generally had positive or neutral things to say. The younger woman gabbed rapid-fire in meandering run-on sentences full of "umm"s and "like"s and "you know"s, with a loud and grating nasal monotone, and while not whining was definitely more negative and cynical in perspective.

Made me think of this thread. The older woman had the traditional qualities of femininity: a positive disposition, courteous behavior, pride in her appearance and "finishing", etc. including (in the conversation) expressign devotion to her husband (who sat on the other side of the aisle and, in true alpha fashion, was aloof to her the whole trip). The younger woman displayed none of these qualities, and came off as oafish, insufferable, and entitled.

It was quite a contrast.

I bet the older husband was just a genuinely regular guy in his youth. Maintained himself, handled his finances, etc. On the flip side, Miss Chubby-Soon-To-Be-Fat only dates guys over 6' and has their own place/car.

I see this with every woman I date with their friends, it's like Groundhog Day. My current woman has a gaggle of friends, all wondering why they can't meet a 'good guy', even though they range from cute (but getting older) to chubby and mistakes getting banged by guys as a last resort at closing time of their desirability.

She's not my type in that she's quirky/artsy with several tattoos. But she's cute, very fit and just a pleasant and nice person. The women in my social circle commented that she doesn't seem my type. I took pleasure in telling them "I'm a guy. I don't despise, resent nor am I disgusted by someone who is a little weird or nice to me".

Point being there is evidence everywhere of how bad feminism is for everyone.

This reminds me of an older preacher I once saw, probably in his 70's, who had his tiny, sweet, submissive wife onstage. He got off to a good start until he began extolling the virtues of his wife and his love for her. I thought, uh oh, until his closing thought on the subject:

To me femininity is like digging for fossils. (if you believe in dinosaurs) You see a hint of the fossil but not too much. Its such an unnoticeable thing but you can't take your eyes off of it, you see the hope and beauty that will come with time. You dig at it slowly and precisely with the utmost care. Taking your time to not damage the fragile and sensitive fossils. The deeper you dig the more beautiful the efforts of your work becomes. Then the feeling of accomplishment and love you feel once you uncovered the fossil remains for a lifetime. You formed a bond with that fossil

Im not talking about sex, although that is a good analogy. But the sense of femininity. You uncover more and more about a woman and that chase makes that woman seem worth it. In 2018 women ut EVERYTHING online or are open to tell their whole life story on the first date. a feminine woman to me is one who can carry a conversation about any topic without making it about her. A woman who doesn't have to rely on sex to keeps a man's attention. BUT using her innocent but dark sexual energy to have guys begging for more.

I don't know about you guys but I like modest women, I've laid a lot of sluts but my most accomplished and special times were with women who seemed innocent and pure. Even if those women weren't virgins they still had an energy about them that made the chase to get them worth it.

Ayesha Curry is the PERFECT example to me. Stephen curry even stated that even though he was a star high school athlete he had to pursue Ayesha Curry hard. This is the woman who took up for him on line, who has a cooking show, who dresses modestly everywhere. and my favorite moment

when they lost a big game and curry was walking to the locker room looking depressed and sad, Ayesha threw confetti up above him and cheered him on telling him it would be better next time. beautiful moment
