I mean, if the party of the Dixiecrats and the Klan can transform itself to the party of the global media, celebrities, free trade of jobs going one way and cheap labour coming the other way, invented genders and victim groups, democratic bombing across the world - not to mention anarchists - then everything is possible with demographic change.

There isn't really any permanent majority despite what some party analysts think, things change.

Use the time that Trump bought us to get your shit together.

Advance in your career, save some money, toss a few Gs at crypto.

We have a pretty good economy to get ahead in at this point, but we're overdue for a recession and we could start losing elections badly. We have 2-6 years left, but demographic collapse will hinder prosperity in America eventually. I'm hoping that Trump does two terms and we have a decade of slow decline before I make any moves abroad.

Even with sublime economic results, Trump can't win the house. Fuck establishment parties. Uncompromising white identity is the only solution.

It seems clear that "Blexit" etc is all anecdotal, a small group of black people who switched parties or already were red.

Getting black people to vote GOP will never happen. I think the best tactic would be to stoke conspiratorial mindsets of "the democrats and republicans are all out to get you" to encourage non-voting (yes I'm aware that is racist as hell.)
MaceTyrell 路 2018-11-08 01:12:00 路 #657
^The whole Blexit movement is for 2020.

But overall, yes - 9/10 people I've seen being hype about it on Twitter/other social media are those who are already Republican/vote Republican.

If the movement has any legs, it is something that is going to take more than two weeks.

About halfway through discusses 50,000+ Deep State sealed indictments good to go and being worked [by John Huber as IG in Utah has had a team of 470 investigators at work, convening grand juries and filing sealed indictments. Lots and lots of sealed indictments, and far from the clutches of the swamp].

What a strange midterm. The Democrats outraise all of us and take the House by a very normal amount. Has any other midterm resulted in one house with losses and one with gains - significant ones? It just looks like bluer districts are getting bluer and red districts are getting redder. If all of those incumbents hadn't retired, we might have kept the House.

I need to comment on Wisconsin. It's a goddamned shame to see Scott Walker lose his gubernatorial race. I never liked him much - he wasn't much of a friend to Trump - and thought he shouldn't run for a third term, but he's mostly been successful and insane Madison-Milwaukee turnout is all that guaranteed him a defeat. (Dane County voted 75-25 for his challenger, which is crazy even by their standards.)

Basically, his base turned out for him, but not particularly so. Democrats were so obsessed with this election (in this state, anyway) that they were able to barely beat him despite his successes.

I don't know how to solve something like this. Republicans just don't get as obsessed with politics like the Democrats do, and they just roll with it when they lose. After Walker lost, me and my two buddies left the election party and went straight to a Denny's for comfort food. Liberals would have hysterically called 7 close friends in tears.

Dems know they need a foothold in the rustbelt to stand a chance in 2020.

I think the last time was 1962.

That doesn't bode well for Trump in 2020. They were sort of caught sleeping at the wheel in Wisconsin in particular. Obviously it depends on who is nominated against him.

From what I've seen this cycle, of the crucial states, Florida and Ohio look good for Trump in 2020, though this new measure to allow felons to vote in Florida is worrying. DeSantis and Scott won by much less of a margin than Trump did, with turnout being similar, if slightly higher, than 2016. I guess you could argue neither of them are Trump and Scott was up against an incumbent which explains why his margin was lower, while DeSantis was up against a superior persuader that got some more independents. I like Florida so far and Tuesday was encouraging, but this felon stuff is something to keep on your radar.

Obviously, a lot can change in two years, but with Florida and Ohio likely in the Trump camp, it would mean he would need one of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan to win.

And this also shows why the GOP really needs to catch up with Trump on immigration, because thanks to it, Virginia is out of reach, when it was a safe Republican state up to 2004. The combination of immigration and the NOVA suburbs has put it permanently in the Democratic camp, when it ordinarily would have put Trump over the top. Thankfully, those three rust belt states will have similar electorates as they did in 2016 and one of those endangered Republicans in the Philly suburban districts actually won.

Although keep in mind there's also a chance he could flip Minnesota and New Hampshire. Both were extremely close.

I think that "Blexit" is a terrible tag/. It's not even original, and it has no bite.

The word "Brexit" has a hard "R" sound in it which makes it go. "Blexit" just sounds, and sounds like, bland.

If I were a genius artist like Kanye, fuck I'd distance myself from it too, not fo the politics, but for the artistic disaster that it is.

Florida is very close to looking at a recount, Bill Nelson trying to do anything possible for it to happen.

There has been many different excuses made as to why the race was so close. I鈥檇 post a link but currently on mobile.

Tell me about it. County recorder Fontes says almost 74k ballots have been counted today. Out of the supposed 400k ballots uncounted.
At this rate I might as well wait til Thanksgiving to either scorn or celebrate my state for it's senator selection.
Fuck me

He'll try to delay the crying for as long as possible, but everything else is over. No recount in history has ever flipped more than perhaps 1,000 votes at most. Scott is ahead by about 20,000. Barring some truly unprecedented event, Scott is the next senator from Florida.

As for why it was so close, Nelson was an incumbent. That's probably the biggest reason. Scott was the only one who could have had a chance.

They can try all they like. Recounts don't change tens of thousands of votes. Ever. And look at this.

Reince Priebus, while being a massive cuck, still bent the knee and worked hard at the RNC and with Trump to deliver Wisconsin, where was he this midterm, Walker could have used him.
I still think he should be brought back for 2020.

Trump campaign will need to go hard for the Rust Belt, as next election I doubt the DNC will slack there like Clinton did 2016

As I read the numbers, the alliance to make is with Asians, which is stuff like getting rid of discrimination in education and affirmative action.

Honestly, the effort doesn't seem worth it, to try to pander to other minorities.

If he really wanted to do something about it, he could attack Hollywood for their emasculating stereotypes of Asians.

Asians are an incredibly small minority, 2/3 of them believe the "Evil Whitey" ideology, and even those who don't are plotting for their own benefit, at our expense.
Libertas 路 2018-11-08 18:26:00 路 #673

This is worth noting. And if it's true in eastern Ohio, there's also a good chance it's true in Western Pennsylvania, which has a similar electorate. If Ohio and Pennsylvania shift toward lean-Republican states, Democrats should start sweating some bullets.

From what I am reading a few things were happening this election:

1: Trump did not really campaign for house candidates. He focused on Senate seats, and if a rep. candidate came to a rally that was already planned than so much the better. I believe that Trump is 9 for 11 in Senate seats that he actively campaigned for. More on this later.

2: Over 40 representatives either resigned or retired from the GOP this cycle. That's almost 20% of the incumbents who were not on the ballot where incumbents generally get elected 90% of the time. One could say that half of the seats won by the democrats is from that phenomena alone.

3: House candidates usually get better support for their campaign in message and money from on top, it was apparently not there. Not having your president come and campaign for you, being grossly outspent and no clear legislative message and goals is a clear way to loose any election.

We had in my area of the country so many ads that it was like a general election. The money was spent out there by the democrats and they barely got the House for it. Likewise they spent just about what it costs to campaign for a president on their senate candidates only to loose ground in the Senate. It is a hollow victory for the Democrats when you win the house by bare margins and that is it. There is no mandate and anything that they want to do will most likely be quashed in the senate.
