British men are the loneliest group in the EU. Something is certainly wrong with British society and relations between men and women. I don't want to blame British women but when I hear from EU women, time and time again that they've still to make friends with a British woman after being in the UK for years, it causes me to wonder what is wrong.

I fell into conversation with a Russian 9 (unfortunately married) while on holiday. She was astounded to learn that I have been single for years and that this is fairly normal in the UK. She said if I went to Russia, I'd have several girlfriends and be married in a month.

I am sure many men from the UK have these anecdotes of friendly conversations that they don't experience at home.

I think BD is correct with much of what he says in this article. I think guys with a long history of many women usually have difficulty in relationships. But I don't know how long Gambler has been out of the game. Did he immediately go from being a player to marriage or did he slow down several years ago and work on his relationship skills before marriage? I don't know how Gambler's marriage is structured. Is his marriage in Russia and what are the laws like there?

BD makes some good points about marriage but there are women who are exceptions to the rule who can be good wives just as there are women who are exceptions to the rule who will let you bang other women. There is no perfect solution in today's world but there are many solutions that can work if you put in the work and develop the skills to make those solutions work. My personal opinion is to avoid marriage in western countries with unfair laws because those laws, the awful culture, and monogamy not being natural for humans put you in a position with the deck being stacked against you.

I've learned a lot from BD's blog although I stopped reading it a while ago. His advice on relationships is good and most of that advice applies to any type of relationship. However, someone could probably take everything he teaches and condense it down to 10 or 15 blog posts.

That brings me to why most "marriages" fail in the West. There's a strange analogy of what many call the "religious impulse" as it applies to nearly all things human and biological. Basically, it is part of being human. As a result, if you lose your tradition and belief due to the society losing it, you'll delve deeper into a weird, chaotic state where things don't make sense. Even stranger, your "society" will retain some of the things it once held sacred, but now they are just vestigial (and usually legal) remnants, seemingly serving a purpose for the society but completely defunct. We have entered that stage in the West. An example of this is atheist or agnostic types believing in "science" and creating pseudo-religions based on centralized power or alarmism (global warming) that acts as their eschatology.

The full circle message here is that having lost christianity and its true meaning, message and purpose for humans in the West, of course marriages fail, because people have increasingly been fooled into the true original sin --- they can do everything on their own. When nothing is there to hold them from succumbing to external desires, pressures, more materialism and dangled, supposed freedom, they collapse. Instead of suffering with various unsavory (but temporal) things that always pop up in life in order to arrive at a stronger state, the drones jettison everything for the moment, and then self reinforce it all with lies to one another.

Going back to blackdragon, the society that actually produces good women and stable surroundings is precisely the society that no woman falls for bullshit like OTLR or any other acronym meant to be lived in an alternative lifestyle. Perhaps even more accurately, they have wise male figures around that advise them against it, or flat-out don't allow for it. Dragon may be just trying to do his best with a shit sandwich, but ultimately the chaos always comes back to claim what is his --- more chaos and disappointment.

There is definitely a cultural difference in that I found that I was better at US daygame before I heard of Game than I was at UK daygame when I was putting theory into practice.

I actually enjoyed talking to random American women so I would have mastered daygame there but I hated daygame in the UK so I will never be (or want to put in the hours to be) good at it there.

Despite the oft-reported faults of American women on this forum, they are approachable and can normally carry themselves in conversation.
