RE: The #MeToo thread
A story in four tweets:
I am afraid that women appreciate cruelty, downright cruelty, more than anything else. They have wonderfully primitive instincts. We have emancipated them, but they remain slaves looking for their masters all the same. They love being dominated.

The backlash begins? I hope so.
This guy may actually be guilty of what the women claim, however, the courts are the place to air the grievance and seek justice, not the media.
All these accusations should be met with a cease and desist order immediately and savage defamation lawsuits if ignored. Let them pursue things privately in court if required but this public slander without trial BS has to be fought with every tool available.

RE: The #MeToo thread
The #MeToo movement- specifically the celebrity endorsed, hashtag centered phenomenon- is rapidly losing steam. When was the last time a celebrity accuser came forward?
However, false accusations can only get dramatically worse and more frequent from here on out.
In the case of Kavanaugh, not only was there no evidence, there wasn't even a date, time, or location. It didn't matter. His reputation is permanently ruined, and the political machinery of the most powerful country in the world was brought to a screeching halt.
The latest guy is a handsome black democrat, rather than a "patriarchal" white republican. It is nearly impossible to prove something didn't happen 15 years ago, roughly when the alleged incident happened. Additionally, the woman admitted that she went to a hotel room to hook up with him, and never filed a police report. None of this matters. He is still being assailed by the media, and his reputation is going to be permanently ruined.
I have never been so happy to NOT be in the dating market.

Amazon has the rights to release Woody Allen's film, but may never do so after the #MeToo movement resurfaced sex abuse claims against the filmmaker, Page Six has reported.
Allen's latest movie, "A Rainy Day in New York," finished filming last fall, shortly before the #MeToo movement shone the spotlight once again on sexual abuse allegations made against Allen by his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow.
Amazon bought the film — which stars Timothée Chalamet, Selena Gomez, Jude Law and Elle Fanning — for $25 million, Page Six said.
The movie was negotiated in 2016 by then-head of Amazon Studios, Roy Price, according to Vanity Fair. Price has since resigned after a producer alleged that he sexually harassed her

An unnamed source told the gossip newspaper: "Woody loves working. He never takes a vacation. But he will be taking time off this year until he can find a backer."
An unnamed Hollywood producer also told Page Six: "Woody always got great actors. Stars would work for scale because it gave them prestige, but with the #MeToo movement, he's toxic."
Woody Allen is suing Amazon! Yay!

RE: The #MeToo thread
Thought ya'll would get a good laugh about this news.
Remember "Time's Up" apart of the #MeToo movement?
The leader of the organization's son got accused of sexual assault!
https://nypost.com/2019/02/22/times-up-c...ainst-son/
Quote:Time’s Up chief steps down over sexual misconduct claims against son
The chief of Time’s Up, the celebrity-backed organization that campaigns against sexual harassment, has resigned amid sexual misconduct allegations against her own son, according to a new report.
Lisa Borders announced on Monday that she was stepping down as CEO to “address family concerns that require my singular focus.”
Four days earlier, Borders’ son Garry “Dijon” Bowden Jr. was accused of groping a Santa Monica woman, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Celia Gellert told the Times that Bowden, a life coach, photographer and podcast host, touched her inappropriately during a “healing session” at her home on Jan. 21.
The 36-year-old allegedly touched her genitalia, kissed her neck and rubbed his erect but clothed penis against her — leaving Gellert feeling “violated.”
“It was not healing. It was disgusting,” said Gellert, a yoga teacher.
As the inaugural chief of Time’s Up, sources told the Times that Borders’ role “was in conflict with being a mother who was taking active steps to defend her son.”
Borders had notified the Time’s Up board within 24 hours of learning of the allegations lodged against her son. She and the board members considered whether the situation undermined Time’s Up mission — and, ultimately, Borders agreed to resign.
“Lisa’s decision to step down was the right one for her — and for the organization,” the person said.
The Time’s Up movement was birthed from the chorus of sexual misconduct allegations against some of Hollywood’s most powerful men, including movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.
In October, Borders was named CEO of the group, which has raised more than $22 million in its legal defense fund to help sexual harassment victims.
“We can no longer stand by and tolerate women’s voices not being heard,” she said at a press conference announcing her appointment.
Bowden’s lawyer Alan Jackson denied the allegations, saying he gave Gellert a massage that she requested.
“My client vehemently denies that any inappropriate or nonconsensual touching occurred at any time,” Jackson said.
The lawyer provided a text exchange between Gellert and Bowden that shows she thanked him for the massage and called it “gentle and authentic and loving.”
Gellert, who posted the accusations on Facebook, said she did so because “I don’t want it to happen to anyone else.”
“And I want to be strong and stand my ground and speak my truth,” she said.
In a statement late Thursday, Time’s Up confirmed the reasoning behind Borders’ resignation.
“On Friday, Lisa Borders informed members of Time’s Up leadership that sexual assault allegations had been made against her son in a private forum,” the group said. “Within 24 hours, Lisa made the decision to resign as president and CEO of Time’s Up and we agreed that it was the right decision for all parties involved. All of our actions were fully guided by our support for survivors.”

Wonder which instinct will prevail - the maternal instinct to protect offspring or the believe all women hamster.
I’m calling bullshit on the victim. Her statement “my truth” stinks of subjectivity and post encounter regret.
The LA Times article makes it clear that she texted him back initially saying the massage was great, but later changed her mind, and decided she had been "violated":
"The morning after the treatment, Gellert told Bowden she had had disturbing dreams. He recommended the name of another healer. She thanked him for the session, calling the massage “gentle and authentic and loving” and calling him “soul family/angelic soul.”
Two days after the session, Gellert reached out again to say she was uncomfortable with what had transpired. Bowden wrote back, “When you say uncomfortable, do you mean your stomach still hurts?” She told The Times that her discomfort stemmed from his touching of her private areas.
“I do feel a little surprised to that you’re saying you feel uncomfortable with the process [because] you said multiple times during and after how beautiful and supportive it was,” Bowden wrote in the text exchange. She responded that while portions of the session worked for her, “I’m still left feeling uncomfortable and violated.”

I actually feel bad for the guy. This girl is clearly psycho, and despite being over the age of 30 acts like an emotional teenager instead of a responsible adult. She also decided to go to Facebook and the press before going to police, which makes the whole thing even more dubious. He wasn't even aware what her issue might possibly be when she texted him, and I doubt the whole incident will result in criminal charges. Yet because of the bullshit his mom pushes, his life will never be the same.
For what it's worth, he and his Mom had a horrible relationship- it mentions he recently changed her contact info in his phone from her full name to "Mom".

WarnerMedia faces major test with casting couch allegations against Kevin Tsujihara
Quote:Just eight months after acquiring the media and entertainment conglomerate Time Warner, AT&T is facing its first major public relations challenge. On Wednesday, The Hollywood Reporter broke a story alleging that Warner Bros. studio chief Kevin Tsujihara is embroiled in a casting couch scandal, in which he allegedly promised to help a young British actress land roles in Warner Bros. TV shows and movies after the two met at the Hotel Bel-Air in 2013 and began a relationship.
The actress, Charlotte Kirk, was 21 at the time and was introduced to Tsujihara, who is married, by James Packer, the Australian billionaire and a partner in producer Brett Ratner’s RatPac Entertainment. At the time Packer and Ratner—who was accused by several women of sexual assault in 2017 and has not been active in Hollywood since—were working to close a $450 million financing deal with Warner Bros. After Packer set up the Hotel Bel-Air meeting between Kirk and Tsujihara, Kirk texted him: “His [sic] not very nice! Very pushy!! He just wants to fuck nothing else does not even want To say anything!” Packer wrote back: “U OK?” and “Be cool.”
The saga evolved in a long, drawn-out back-and-forth on text between Packer, Ratner, Tsujihara, and Kirk, with the latter demanding meetings with casting directors and producers, while the men responded with vague promises of meetings and calls with executives and, once, in the case of Ratner, accusing Kirk of “extortion.”
In early 2015, Kirk texted Tsujihara saying, “You’re very busy I know but when we were in that motel having sex u said u would help me and when u just ignore me like you’re doing now it makes me feel used. Are u going to help me like u said u would?” Tsujihara wrote back: “Sorry you feel that way. Richard will be reaching out to u tonight.” The reference was to Richard Brener, then president of production at Warners’ New Line label.
Ultimately, Kirk was cast in small roles in two Warner films: Ocean’s 8 and How To Be Single.
Kirk denied that Tsujihara engaged in any inappropriate behavior. And WarnerMedia, as the new mega-conglom is now called, said that it had previously investigated the claims but would review the issue again. Last year, following the misconduct allegations against Ratner, Warner Bros. did not renew its deal with RatPac Entertainment.
The news comes just days after WarnerMedia announced its new leadership structure in which Tsujihara is one of CEO John Stankey’s top lieutenants with added responsibilities overseeing animation—including the Cartoon Network and Adult Swim—and consumer products. Other areas of the company are also being restructured: Longtime HBO chairman and CEO Richard Plepler stepped down last week just days before former NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt was named the new head of WarnerMedia Entertainment, which will have him overseeing HBO, TBS, and TNT, as well as WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service.
As to whether Tsujihara will weather the scandal, it’s hard to believe that Stankey only learned of the allegations after WarnerMedia promoted Tsujihara. But #MeToo allegations have rocked Hollywood ever since Harvey Weinstein was accused of multiple counts of sexual misconduct in late 2017—he is now facing a criminal trial in New York for rape and sexual misconduct. Among those whose careers have been derailed because of allegations are former CBS chairman and CEO Les Moonves, actor Kevin Spacey, and Amazon Studios’ Roy Price. Former Pixar and Walt Disney Animation creative head John Lasseter exited his post there in the wake of accusations of inappropriate behavior, but has resurfaced as the head of animation at Skydance Entertainment. The move has received criticism, and the actress Emma Thompson removed herself from a Skydance project because of Lasseter, yet he has retained his new post.
Tsujihara is the latest test of how much public perception will matter to an entertainment conglomerate, particularly one that is embarking on a new era under new leadership. Another factor in Tsujihara’s fate will be whether the reported allegations represent the whole case against him, or whether they’re just the tip of the iceberg.

Shouldn't feminists be rallying against her? Openly fucking for roles and stealing jobs from more talented yet less slutty actresses? Is this what empowerment is all about? Shouldn't he feel used after finding out she only wanted to sleep with him in exchange for work?
