That's actually a bad article, and makes the author look like shit/a pussy for not writing it BEFORE this situation developed, and

1) Was able to tailor it to this situation
2) Did it at a time when he didn't face backlash.

Basically, it is INCREDIBLY easy to claim he looked at the current situation and wrote the article (even though we've been talking about this for years and know it to be true.

I'm sure there is a similar ROK article or something out there.

My take on this:

1: One reason to NOT want him jailed is that would require a process plus her testimony with a high probability of discovering that her claims are 'not the truth'. By not pressing charges she avoid being discovered as being a liar plus does not open herself to criminal prosecution.

2: Assuming that she is lying about her charge, she gets the benefit of being a victim and people not thinking she has poor morals, but can't go through with pressing charges as explained in reason #1 above.
