It's bad for society that the first impulse is to fire people for what they do in their own time. (Separate issue: the company has a right to fire who they want is a separate issue. Also a separate issue: it may be in the company's best interest to fire them.)

But this isnt a beer in a photo...this is a nude soft porn photo shoot.

If you dont want to be judged by your private life dont make it public. Often times it is a sign of narcissism. It is human nature to be impulsively judgemental on your first reaction.

In addition, everything is public. Going to the wrong public rally because its not stylish can be harmful to your job prospects. The thing I will tell any teenage girl (being a father myself)....any photo you take even if its not public is forever and chances are the "app" you use to take the photo makes a copy of it where you dont want to go. How is this lost on you?

In a way I agree with travel museums in that she's human and it sucks what happened to her...but not once during this whole thing, there wasn't a voice in her head saying 'Maybe posting this to my Facebook isn't a good idea?!'. If it's so 'special and beautiful!' (...), why not just print the pics out and keep them in an album?

There is zero doubt in my mind that this is what really happened. It's like that old expression - "there's always a good reason and a real reason", or something like that.

She was probably perpetually tardy, absent, or just flat out unproductive so she needed to be let go. Her employers saw these photos and they were exactly what they needed as far as a really good reason to fire her (for cause). I've seen this happen too many times to believe anything else happened here.

This loop out of Rio I did an airbnb, Hotel, and couchsurfed. Cool guy, same age, super helpful. Thought why am I not doing this more? If you plan ahead and request with more notice it’s easier to find a good host and actual bed. I had other offers today but the people sounded busy, had pets, kids, etc.

I think you do have to be careful who you hangout with. Like we ended up getting burgers with her friends who were all very overweight too. I convinced them to hit a club but they left immediately. I was on my own with two banging sisters thinking wtf why on earth would the one dude in the group not want to wing me.

It’s a bit lonely in smaller towns outside Rio where there’s not much nightlife. I’ve found it challenging to find English speakers to hangout with. I met some nice local people who speak English. She opened her home to me and showed me around town. They happen to be overweight. Who cares? I don’t need to make fun of fat people or anyone else to feel better about myself.
