As I said in my introduction post, been out of things for a while but determined to get into gaming. I am actually ok with conversations and stuff but have some approach issues. I dont think its pure anxiety, simply dont know what to say most of the time.

So last night I was in a bar with some friends. See cute girl sitting at a table with 2 friends. She was checking me out so I knew it was on if I could start. They seemed pretty young and werent being sociable with anybody else in the place. Seemed like a pretty closed group. Couldnt think of how to approach. How would you guys suggest dealing with such a situation?

Don't overthink it. Just start. You don't need to justify why you talk to her beyond you wanting to talk to her.
It's more important that you're able to keep things flowing after the initial approach.

As soon as you get the IOI from her, go strait there, smiling and friendly.

"Hi, I am Boxmonster, how is your night going?

Opening is easy, getting the attraction, comfort and moving on from there is the hard part.
