One of my biggest mistakes in the past was having a nice night with a girl, going out for a few drinks, and then heading back to my house with no pad game. We get back to my place...

"You want a drink?"
"Um, let's see... Canadian Club with a Coke? PBR? Franzia?"

Or I'd plan ahead and buy a few bottles of expensive wine. Then I'd be pissed that she didn't come home with me and that I blew $75 on wine which honestly all tastes the all same to me.

So, I got a bar. It works well for me. It was cheap. It's easy. It cost like $200 to get it up to speed.

This is what I found works...

1. Get a physical bar. It doesn't need to be a wet bar or anything extravagant. Mine is basically a cabinet that pulls out, with room for glasses and other shit on the bottom cabinets. It's got a wine opener, napkins, and mixers underneath. I picked up an ice holder at a thrift shop. With ice tongs. Fancy schmancy.

2. Boxed wine served from a decanter. The decanter can be gotten from a thrift store for like $5. If you really want to class shit up, cut up some oranges, limes, and add rum. Chill in the fridge. Blam. Spanish Sangria. In any event, throw cheap boxed wine into a decanter and you look like a boss. You can also throw cheap whiskey into a decanter.

3. Liquor: Whiskey, gin, vodka. Have them on hand. Vodka tends to be the drink women want at your house, mixed with something sweet. Or wine. Tequila, rum and other drinks are unnecessary but fun. If you want to be an all out pig, buy good liquor and then refill the bottles with well drinks when you've drank it all. No one knows if they're drinking Pinnacle or Grey Goose. I honestly can't tell the difference except for the bottle.

4. Mixers: Be a pimp and buy the little bottles - the "pony" sized mixers. I don't know why, but they're cool. Coke, Diet Coke, Ginger Ale, tonic, and plain soda water. Maybe cranberry juice but once you open the bottle it goes bad. I have vermouth, bitters, olives and grenadine but honestly I've never used any of that. All I use is basically soda.

5. Basic glassware. You don't need to go nuts with this. Tumblers, wine glasses (red and white. the red ones are big, the white ones are smaller), and that's really all about it. I used to have all the martini glasses but they take up a lot of space, and everything is fine in a tumbler. You can get it all from Ikea for a song and a dance. Dawn dish soap (the blue stuff) keeps everything looking brand new. I keep 6 tumblers, 4 red wine glasses, and 4 white wine glasses. Pint glasses for beer drinkers.

6. Presentation is everything. The difference between whiskey poured on a diet coke in a cheap plastic cup in a frathouse? A cocktail napkin and straws in nice glassware. Your drinks go from looking like you're just pouring a drink to like you're a professional bartender. Serve a drink on a napkin and with straws in it, and you've literally just upped your bar game like a champ. Cut up some limes, put them in a bowl, and lay them out on the bar. The cost is next to nothing, but presentation of drinks makes a big difference. Hand her a drink in a sparking tumbler, with a fresh cut lime, and a straw. Watch what happens.

7. Ice game. You can get those "rocks" holders (big ass ice whiskey cubes) for like $1. Fancy time. They make every drink look cool. You can also get real "rocks" but I've never liked them. I like the big ass ice cube things. It's like $2 to get big ice cubes.

If you're into the whole wine thing, have a wine cooler or whatever. That's a cool hobby. But if you're just trying to bring girls back to your place, this is one of the cheapest investments I've ever made. Basically, a cabinet with sodas, napkins, and straws in it.

One thing to add regarding the wine; if you're in a pinch, and you forgot to chill your white wine, always keep a freezer with a small bag full of frozen grapes. Throw a few into the wine and it will cool it off like an ice cube, won't dilute the wine, and your girl can eat them when she's finished with her glass.

I always keep frozen blueberries in my freezer. (I live on the East Coast). They're great in wine, beer, and almost any other drink. They cost like $5 for a pint.

Something I picked up in Maine. Throw frozen blueberries into a drink and suddenly it's a craft cocktail.

Another thing to add to this list. Have a couple of "chick" drink receipes down that you know how to make. One drink that I make that the girls freaking love is called 'Make Me Blush' I pulled this off of the back of a Svedka Peach Vodka bottle. Use a fancy bartending mixing glass and you'll be set.

1 Shot Peach Vodka (I usually put 2)
1 shot Orange Juice
1 Shot Triple Sec
1 Shot Cranberry Juice

I mix it in a mixing glass, pour it in a chilled Martini glass and it comes out looking pink. Most girls love the drink

Spicy Moscow Mule Recipe (with home made spicy ginger beer)

Buy some:

----
fresh ginger root

Black peppercorns

Agave Nectar

----

Peel the ginger root, chop it up, and throw it into a blender with equal parts water and the blue agave nectar. blend it all together. Then in a sauce pan, over low/medium heat, crack some fresh black peppercorns into the pan. The more pepper, the spicier it will be so keep that in mind. When it starts to smoke, add the contents of the blender and keep it on the heat until it starts to boil. Then remove and cover, and let it cool.

Strain out the ginger root / peppercorns with cheese cloth.

You now have spicy ginger syrup.

The drink:

Copper mug

1.5 oz Vodka (use titos)

1oz Spicy ginger syrup

.25 oz Lime juice

Fill with club soda. lime garnish

The cool thing with "bar game" is you can go as far as you want to go. You can make fancy, fun, exotic drinks. You can get a wine cooler. You can get one of those shaker things. It's not hard of expensive. You can really go all out if that's an interest.

Personally, I'm lazy. I hate to shop. If I'm drinking by myself, it's usually just a whiskey on the rocks or maybe with some diet coke. I don't want to have to replace a bunch of stuff that goes bad all the time all the time. It's just too much work and thought. That's just me, though.

So I stock my bar with a few pedestrian liquors, non-perishable mixers, and boxed wine. I serve it in fancy glasses with napkins and straws. I put cheap stuff in a decanter. Women think it's pure class when I fix them well whiskey, served from a decanter into a tumbler, on a blue napkin, with straws and a lime in it.

What's funny is they were unimpressed with the guy who served her a glass of wine from a $75 bottle...

Presentation is easy and takes very little effort. Bar game is basically just presentation.

This sentence is the most valuable piece of information on this thread.

I don't have a bar cart or anything fancy, however, I do have accessories that really appeal to the women that visit me. All my stuff is on the ledge of my large book shelf.

My wine decanter is by far the favorite amongst my female guests. Close second is my cheap crystal whiskey/scotch decanter. Looks classy as hell with matching glasses.

When it comes to the actual glasses, my selection is probably a little unnecessary due to the shit I've accumulated over the past few years.

Most of it is in my cabinets but when it comes to presentation, I have:
-2 whiskey glasses next to my decanter
-2 stem Riedel wine glasses
-2 stem less wine glasses that almost all women I bring over go straight for
-2 Moscow mule mugs
-2 tumbler glasses

I'm sure less is more, but they all work great for me.

As for drinks, I always have a few bottles of Rose wine chillin in the vegetable compartments of my fridge for when I have girls over. Girls love that shit. Have two nice champagne flutes I use, usually we don't even get through half the bottle before I end up closing the deal.

My 2 cents:

I tried to also keep some ¨weird¨ drinks in my bar. Usually bottles of booze that I get from all the traveling I do.

I keep a bottle of Raki from Turkey, Bottle of Pisco from Perú, Agua ardiente from Colombia, a nice Mezcal from Mexico, Cachaza from Brazil, Guaro from Costa Rica, Schnaps from Austria, Fernet Branca, etc...etc....

It use them a lot for props to get girls back to my place after bar hoping.

Palo: Have you ever tried Ouzo from Greece?
Chic: Oh, no never, what it is?
Palo: Let´s finish up this drink and get one at my apartment before calling you an uber, I have an early start tomorrow. We are 2 blocks away.

My bar is actually packed with weird alcoholic parafernalia. This works wonders.

Only downside I see is that I am drinking too much. Specially during the week, this has terrible results with my testosterone levels, sports and overall sex performance.

If I were doing a home bar, this would be my approach, as well. A little knowledge went a long way with liquor back in the day, and 80% of women are still stuck at "melon-flavored vodka" and kept to the familiar or tourist-friendly when their ex took them to Paris (or wherever).

Pull out some Calvados, the lower-end stuff so it still tastes like apples, and you may as well have gotten it on your trip to Mars.

Definitely. I took a bartender class through Air B and b experience in Cuba couple of years ago. They taught you how to make the perfect Mojito, Daiquiri,etc...etc...

Making a nice drink and teaching her how to make it helps a lot to build that confort before the bang. But you have to sell the experience, rather than the drink. If you put vodka and some berries and sugar on the blender this will also work, girls cannot tell a difference between a nice drink and an OK drink.

Side note:

Champagne and frozen blueberries works wonders for fitness chics.

Chartreuse is a good one too. Fernet shots. Champagne or proseco- girls have trouble saying no to popping a bottle.

Red wine is a bit more masculine than white, but if you are drinking red then she'll drink red. Never met a woman who wouldn't have a glass of red wine with me. Also, it takes a certain amount of ZFG to drink wine as a man. I have been to professional cocktail parties and often there is an alpha drinking a red (usually for health reasons).

The great thing about wine is to women its sophisticated and fun, like shopping for designer goods. So it lowers anti slut defense; sort of the opposite of liquor except maybe margaritas or daquiris. Speaking of which, salted rim margaritas are easy to make, as are daquiries. You just need a blender and some frozen strawberries for the latter. You can make them with bacardi 151 - as they say, liquor is quicker. A cocktail shaker is not necessary but a cool acoutrament for less than $20.

Yes, almost all wine tastes the same, and spending more doesn't ensure its any better. You can buy the house brand at Whole Foods (Three Wishes) for 3 bucks at times, and its not bad - I certainly have had worse that cost a lot more. http://hip2save.com/2016/08/19/whole-foo...each-more/ The other thing about wine is its easy to convince yourself to have another glass. Or you can say if you like this one, then you should try this other one too. Also, they sell these vacuum plungers that allow you to recork wine and vacuum the air out to preserve wine - about 10-20 bucks.

I went to a cool party once which was a wine tasting. The host asked everyone to bring a bottle for each 2 guests but not spend more than $15. She had some appetizers - grapes, cheese, fancy crackers - and some more costly bottles. When you arrived, she'd take your bottle, wrap in give rap to hide the label, and put a number on it. Everyone would have a few sips from many bottles and then folks would grade the wines. It was very interesting to taste so many different wines with a group of people and debate which was better. The communal nature of judging the wines was a great icebreaker.

Finally, invest in some decent glassware. A department store like Macy's will sell you a set of 4 good wine glasses or rocks glasses for $20-$30. If you are drinking a cocktail, its nice to drink it from a heavy crystal glass.

I know how to make a lot of different drinks but I kill the game with my blender in the summer. Margs, mojitos, tropical drinks etc.

Clear booze, citrus juice, sweetener, ice. That is my basic template. Simple. Beyond that, you can throw twists to be slick, like some mint, watermeon or a few slices of cucumber and jalapeño (last is only good with tequila). It's fun to get creative

I like tequila so I always got a big bottle of that around but sometimes use rum if I'm going to use tropical flavors. Espolon is a solid tequila for the money and the bottle has cool artwork

Frozen drinks can mask a lot of booze if you use decent stuff

I buy limes and lemons and juice them, easy. There is no substitute for fresh
get one of these


I like agave syrup for sweetener. Just add a little bit, most girls don't like sweet drinks these days


If you are going to be entertaining a sizable group and cranking out a handful of batches, juice the limes/lemons beforehand and put it in the refrigerator. If it's a smaller group it looks cool to juice whole limes right into the blender as you are building the drink.

Procedure
-invite girls over for "frozen mojitos"
-pour 8 or so shots in blender
-one lime/lemon worth of juice per shot
-shot and a half of sweetener
-10 or so mint leaves (or other flavoring agent)
-fill with ice
-blend for about a minute
*based on a 40 oz blender cup

tips
-if you keep all ingredients cold you will need less ice
-it's easier to thin a drink out than thicken it up. Just add extra booze
-taste and adjust ingredient amounts
-plastic cups are better for frozen drinks as glass will transfer heat more efficiently

Pregame for me was always about loosening people up and/or getting strangers having a shared experience...

Either class it up "champagne party" which was a rarity unless I was with some bottle buyer type who had a sick place and was willing to buy bottles of moet at liquor story. (If I recall it's like $35-$50 a pop)

However, bread & butter have always been shots...
- Make girly shots that taste good BUT still strong
- The obligatory "opening" EVERYONE SHOTS (We used to do 15-20 people taking shots together)

Something I learnt from my boy but never personally implemented other than 1 time I brought 2 girls to his place...
- Coors Light (In highball glass)
- Bacardi 151 (In Shot Glass)

Drop shot glass into high ball glass and CHUG...

This was goodtimes hahaha

I never went to a on-campus college so the cheap fun ideas I've never experienced. Nonetheless forget name of coors + bacard = chugging..

Nonetheless...Either keep it edgy or super fancy for atmosphere purposes. Miss the old days of 25 girls 5 guys pregaming in a penthouse. I'd always get chicks having a blast and by time we get to the club ENERGY WAS GREAT!!!

I once pulled a chick who lived in a luxury building...Her floor only had 1 NEIGHBOR...

She told me her neighbors are 3 frat boys who NEVER GO OUT they just have house parties on the weekends. I can only imagine the goodtimes to be had if they are doing things proper.

From my experience...

Crowd > Atmosphere/Music > Drinks to facilitate atmosphere (super fancy or edgy) = Indulgence

Few others...
- Don't get the gals too drunk (if going to a table after)
- Girl bias ratios (Less guys the better, 3-2 ratio being bare minimum)
- Better to have MORE THAN ENOUGH alcohol (Bottles can be gone through QUICK)
- Upbeat Party Music...Forget "chill" shit...Trust me you want people opening up & getting loose from NOW so you can go CRAZY at venue

AFTER PARTY...
- Have key area seatings as main (sharable seatings best)
- Have semi isolated seatings around place so 2-4 people can chill
- Be creative...You never know who might need extra seating in bathroom for whatever reasons hahaha
- Have some form of covers (If others can't see, things may be done even if it's obvious/implied whats going on...No one really really care as long as you don't)

Guy & Girls will be able to find an area to fool around. Have seen/heard/done many things in bathroom. (Every after party has had people chilling in bathroom hahaha) Those who aren't going to fool around (whether they have BFs or not into anyone) and just want to continue the fun will chill in main area with the rest.

I've done after parties with friends where they will just go in room having sex while everyone is just chillin in main area.

P.S...After parties is only place where I actually enjoy PROPS for instigator purposes. One of my clients used to have a stripper pole in his living room...Use imagination. (I can only imagine a TWISTER MAT just chillin prior to leaving or a stash of s&m type toys open view in main area)
