Why is it that Japan isn't talked up as much as EE or SEA? More closed culture? Higher prices? Difficulty finding work?

From what I read about Japan, sounds like they're nice to Western men, great culture and food, good service at restaurants, completely unique culture, etc...

I'm not sure. I'm not a big fan of Japanese food but I still want to go. Crazy technologies, super advanced and cool cities. Plus Japanese girls are way sexier then their Chinese counterparts and feminine too.

Cost of living in Japanese cities are much higher than SEA cities. Never been to EE so can't comment.

I think Japan isn't as hyped is because its considerably harder to go through a string of ONS like in SEA and aren't as sexy as EE girls. Japanese girls are by large still more towards looking cute than sexy and I think that's not every guy's cup of tea.

For those who have cracked the game in Japan or like Japanese women, they are well worth the time but don't expect to land in Narita and bang your way through your week long stay or be expecting 170cm hotties strutting around.

EE and SEA are entire regions it's a little unfair to compare it vs Japan.

Japan vs individual countries from those regions - I say Japan ranks fairly well.

The Japanese thread is pretty big on here. But yes, I think language barrier and cost of living makes it less accessible.

Not sure why guys just don’t go to cheaper tier 2 or tier 3 cities where they’d be a lot more in demand and exotic, pick up some of the language, and research & utilize the local JP hookup apps or dating sites if they’re so worried about cost of living.

For the average player, with no or little Japanese ability, a tier two city doubles in difficulty.

Not even sure what a tier 3 looks like, but I am sure I have been to them. Having adventures in Japan is great, but for women I am not sure why anyone would look outside of Tokyo.

You definitely have more exotic appeal in tier 2 or tier 3 cities, like Sendai, Yamagata, Fukushima, Utsunomiya, Morioka, Maebashi, etc but there are also far fewer girls. Most young women from those smaller cities move to Tokyo as soon after they turn 20 as possible. That being said, if you travel around the countryside to see the sights and don't worry too much about hooking up and just taking advantage of any opportunities that present themselves, you will have a different experience than you would have in Tokyo.
