It sounds like you have done everything up until this point in your life to easily attract the phd, ceo, the lawyer, etc. I should know, I married one. Its almost hardwired, to go for the 7/8, educated go getter. I'm easily impressed by that too and find myself always ending up with this type. You could automatically pursue this type of girl, because for whatever reason, society, upbringing, peer group, you deem these girls as the ultimate prize. I've personally tried to break this, but it always happens. Never dated a school teacher, an artist, a social worker, etc.

I wish I could rep you again for this Trav. These are great points, and largely overlooked in most of the game discussion of today.

Most people just toss around the tired old 'lift more' and 'improve yourself' platitudes as a catch-all prescription for improving your odds with chicks. Then shit gets hard. You are looking at 5x or 10x the effort to move from 7s to 8s as it took to move from 5s to 7s. You try to convince yourself that it's a worthy goal but your subconscious knows better. I think the original post of this thread is just a long description of this. He's looking at logical and tactical things that will take him to the next level but his subconscious brain is seeing a whole lot of change (which the subconscious brain hates) for a minimal reward.

I think Phase 2 is more about inner game. It's the "be yourself" game that people hate to hear about. They don't understand that "be yourself" game is about being yourself after you spent years changing yourself into the person who you really wanted to be and something about that triggers women's desire for confidence and security. There is a huge difference between faking confidence, abundance mentality, and the ability to walk away versus actually having these things. I've faked this stuff with a couple of girls who were higher value than me but it didn't last long. You might be able to fake it for a short time but you can't fake it for long. And if you are playing out of your league then your high value girl will likely be the one with psychological problems which means that she isn't truly a high value in the context of a relationship.

I think Phase 2 is all about the "strong identity" but you don't get there because of your desire for women. You get there because you have a burning desire to become a different man and getting higher value women is something that naturally happens after you go through that process. You might go through Phase 2 and decide you want to bang hotter girls but you might go through Phase 2 and decide you want a wife and kids. You may not know because you are focused on yourself and your mission. Women are a secondary concern.

Phase 1 is like upgrading but Phase 2 is changing. It's much more difficult and much more painful.

OP is a self-made millionaire and he gets all the 7s he can handle but if you read his posts you see that he is incongruent. He doesn't know what he wants. He doesn't have this strong identity. As I said in a previous thread I wouldn't obsess too much about 8s & 9s.

I'd rather have a few 7 - 7.5s that'll give me great sex, and treat me good while allowing me to stay true to myself than be fixated trying to angle my into the social circles, finances and often shallow and plastic facade of a life that comes with trying to get the odd 8+ or 9.

I totally feel you man. I'm in the same spot in life right now, but I ain't a millionaire.
I actually hate my corporate job. But all I got from 8's in my country were kisses at most, and mostly flakes.

I rank high among the guys in terms of looks, but it doesn't help me with the 8+ girls.

I do feel that there's some glass ceiling here and I can't pass beyond it whilst living the life I live now which is:
1) working long hours as an engineer
2) commuting
3) not having wide social circles with access to cool people and hot girls
4) just not being a cool enough person

OP does not have a 7 figure income. OP has added the supposed value of his website plus other assets and declared himself a millionaire, as in a million or more net worth. Part of his exaggeration skills is to lead you to believe he is a baller. This is a separate skill from being a baller which, as it matures, involves leading people to believe they are not rich. There are very rich people here on this forum and I assure you they only accidentally leave hints of that fact, and never self declare themselves as ballers. OP has a little cash to throw around and become a club celeb due to the amount he has spent visibly, or is seen to have spent near the clubs. This house that the OP described as a mansion on one post and a pretty nice on another... If we are talking about a "mansion" near the clubs of Austin TX then any 400K shit box is a mansion, that's the way they build them. Again, we have been allured to think a certain image without substance by the use of rhetoric. The goal of such a thread is to say "look at me, woe is me, I am so rich and so happy and so bangable but why cant i break out of my plateau?" while looking down on the miserable plebs who just wish they could get laid once, and are reading up in a fury trying to imagine doing a single approach tomorrow. I have more respect for those plebs because in their honesty and humility lies the ability to improve.

If you have seen those annoying youtube ads that go on for 40 minutes if you forget to click skip, from some guy who rents a $20,000 a night mansion and says he wants to show you his pad, or goes in his garage and has a ferrari but if you know the cars is a ten year old 360 worth about 80K, and no one cares. (Not that any Ferrari isnt nice - it just isnt showing a lot of wealth in this case.) Tai something or another. Comes to mind here.

So maybe just maybe the scale is exaggerated as well. The master of sevens is a master of 4, 5, 6s, and so on. And "they" are the ones that don't stick around. The resume romances are girls that approach but don't know him yet. To the "I don't believe you" crowd; who really cares. Its a good case study to consider, regardless of if its real or not. The difference between this and the other fantastically ridiculous tall tale tellers of yore; its readable and hints of sincerity.

So lets take this and consider; even if you have a decent amount of money and looks, is it enough to get the hottest girls in your town?

You need to improve your game and logistics and approach like crazy.

As for "are my interactions with cashiers interactions", if you try to talk to them while they are ringing you up and you ask them out afterwards, then sure. that counts as an approach. If you are hoping that these women will recognize that you are super high value without you saying anything, and throw themselves at you, then you are basically as delusional as Elliot Rodgers.

I'm suspecting you're finding out what women you really like but can't seem to find them. I mean you're 30 and apparently had lots of success but not happy now.

My guess is that they see you as "good at sports" - business, cold pick up etc. But they're not seeing the person behind that. Its great to give zero fucks. But if they really think you "don't give a fuck" that can go against you.

A male 8 will find it harder to get a female 8 than the other way round. Why? Because more things decide a guy's SMV.
My guess is you need to appear more rounded - social circle and stuff, hobbies. But also routing out women you are genuinely like. And finally, are you really "likeable" to them as opposed to just "cool". One of my friends sounds a lot like you. He was terrific doing cold pick up, had a very good job, impressive physique etc. Additionally (and I'm certainly not accusing you of this), the higher grade women would always describe him as "smarmy" and "fake/plastic". The mid level ones would tolerate that. In later years, I started to like him far less as a friend, as I began to see defects in his character that others (esp higher women) saw earlier on.

I think much of red pill culture misdescribes "being alpha". If you aren't liked or connected with someone, things can only go so far. UNLESS there is an unhealthy tradeoff.
