There's been some good posts on this forum, so I'm putting my two cents in to further the cause with this first post on a trip I did recently. If you ever wondered how the girls are in the PNG highlands, read on:

This story takes place in the jungle with one of the interior tribes. For reference, the closest village is Mendi. There are no accommodations, no restaurants, and certainly no tourism. This is only for hardcore travelers. However, the rewards are sweet if you have the right combination.

For comparison, a little about myself: 27 yrs, 5'7", black hair, 185lbs, very muscular, 110% alpha male

My gaming style: 100% cold approaches. Maybe when I lose all my testosterone, I'll try the internet and whatever the latest app is for meeting. Until then I'll stick with what works. After all, a lamb likes to be fed, but a lion likes to hunt.

The highland girls are not pretty in the face. However, if you like them a little fuller in the legs, and bigger racks, it's worth it.

This was a vertical caving trip I was doing solo, when I happened to come across these small tribes. The people are very friendly, and will take you in with no questions asked. There are over 300 languages on the island, but you can communicate with pigeon English. I was led into one of the huts by some locals on my first day arriving. The girl inside the hut (no kidding), threw herself at my feet and began crying (something I learned they do as an extreme submissive response). Now, I like a challenge for my girls, but if you like them literally throwing themselves at you, this place can't be beat. I was called the "Son of Christ" over the few days I spent in this particular tribe. I was given a place in the chief's hut, had coco brought to me (the local term for sweet potatoes, they eat this constantly), and all the sugar cane I could handle.

On my last night there, I was taken to one of the huts by some of the guys in the middle of the night. I have no idea how they can see in the jungle, it was pitch black. I had to hang onto one of their shoulders, or I'd lose them. Entering into one of the small huts, it was very smoky. They build fires inside, but there are no windows, it makes your eyes burn. An older couple was sitting behind the fire, and behind them were their three daughters. They spoke back and forth in their local language with the guys who brought me, and then one of the daughters stood up. She approached me with a "bilum" in her hand (a local handmade sling).

I accepted the gift, and she smiled. The next thing I know, she takes my hand and we go into the jungle for some good loving. I couldn't believe it. This is the closest thing you will feel to being a god. Well, there's a catch...

After I finished my deposit, I was led back to the chief's hut and was told I needed 5,000 kina (local currency) worth of pigs to slaughter for the wedding. Wedding!? I thought she was just a friendly girl. I ended up sneaking out of the village just before sunrise to the dirt road leading to Mendi. I was offered a hut, land, and pretty much anything I wanted, but there was no way I was staying there permanently. Once I reached Mendi (after several hours), I caught a PMV (public motor vehicle) to continue my travels.

The moral of the story is this: If you've got the guts, and want the easiest girls on the planet, come to the highlands, where they throw themselves at you. However, do your research on local marriage customs.

What "cause" are you trying to further here? How to break into some of the last and most remote and traditional societies on earth and break a family's honor? If the story is true, then you sullied yourself and the family in the eyes of the village.

You leave out so many details I don't even know if i believe your story. The details / voice just don't seem to fit for someone claiming to travel that deep and remote unless you left out 99% of the real story.

How did you get there? Just walk through the jungle in your sandals? Just looking for a cave and happened upon a village of savages where the chief threw his three big-titty daughters at your Jesus feet?? What did you do for water? How did you purify it? What did you eat? How did you eat it? You carry a big knife and hunt pig by torchlight? And the tribe, what makes you think they took you in? You are never taken in, never accepted. They may be curious, and maybe one day you earn their respect, but no, they never fully take you in. You are always an outsider.

As someone living in PNG, K5000 for a bride price sounds like bullshit, never the less for the Chiefs daughter. Also a solo trip through the jungles of the Highlands(most savage place) sounds highly unlikely.

Wow, a lot of non-believers. Okay, here's some pics attached to the post depicting me and some of the locals, dwelling, and one of the girls given to me. The picture with the cave behind us is Bibima Cave in the PNG highlands, researched in Beneath The Cloud Forest, chronicling caves of PNG. The closest village, for those that know the geography, is Kundiawa.

Remember, I said this was hardcore traveling. For those hating, I'm just telling you how I work, it's all real. Maybe it's a little cocky, but it's always worked for me. My trips require a lot of research, and yeah, there is a lot of trekking involved. They don't exactly have bus routes in the jungle. There's actually a lot of food in the jungle, especially fruit and coco (as I mentioned before). They also have pigs for meat. I ate very well, because I WAS taken in. They actually refused to let me sleep in my tent, and had me stay in a hut. There are natural springs in the highlands, and would probably be just fine to drink out of the ground, but I used a purifying pump.

The logistics take time out there, you have to plan, and be able to read a map very well with the use of an orienteering compass. I didn't get into the caving aspect of the trip, because I thought you wouldn't be interested. So, I told a portion of my trip I thought you might like, and maybe get a little insight on a place you haven't been to. Many of my trips are like this. I was going to share a trip I did to Syria not too long ago, wandering the desert in search of the bedouin. However, if rude comments are how my trips are received, then never mind. If others want to know about remote areas of the globe, you can PM me with a little decent courtesy.

If you want to do more post about hardcore traveling, it would be interesting to add your tip and trick to survive in a difficult environment, which dangers you have encountered, etc.

If anyone is interested in surviving in harsh environments to further their adventures, read on:

-First off is research. Know the geography, weather and culture of where you're going. Many remote areas have languages westerners can't get resources for, but if you can, at least learn the basics.

Every terrain is different. Since this trip was in the jungle, I'll use that as my topic:

-Unless you're in a village, do NOT sleep in a tent, or you'll be sharing your bed with things you don't want to. Use a hammock with bug netting.

-Snakes: It's unlikely you'll run into one, but all it takes is once. Central and South America are full of vipers, while Asia has vipers and elapidaes. If you get hit by a viper (they can strike through leather boots), you're skin will rot to the bone. Get bit by an elapidae (ex: cobra), you're dead in under an hour. Moral of the story: watch where you're stepping.

-Heat and humidity: You'll sweat---a lot! Don't sleep in wet clothes or rashes can form. Wash your clothes out during the day in streams, or they'll rot faster than you think. Hydration is incredibly important. If you can't filter your water (pump or tablets), drink out of running streams instead of stagnant water.

-Feet: No feet = no trip. Staying in wet boots will rot your feet. Change your socks every day. If you're running low, use large ziplock bags between your socks and boots.

-Food: You can live on a mix of non-perishable foods you bring (condensed or freezedried), local edible plants (do your research), and fruit. It's possible to have an entire bundle of bananas at your feet with one machete swipe. Sugar cane, wild berries, and my favorite, the cashew fruit can be staples.

There are places on the planet where people have never even seen an outsider. There is always the possibility of hostility, but usually you'll be greeted with respect and wonder. The men will want to learn from you, and you'll have extremely high exotic value with the ladies. Step outside the cities, put some research in, and you'll be rewarded.

I took Mefloquine. One tablet per week starting 2 weeks before travel, and 4 weeks after. The good news is, this medication is covered under many health insurance plans.
