I use apps heavily and I wouldn't use this.

This is intended to ensure that people aren’t dabbling, just to see if they get picked, and it’s also meant to force people off of the app and into a real meeting. Though logistics-wise, this could turn out to be tricky.

-Plenty of room for let down and cat fishing
-A time waster for a lame date
-Can't screen girls or filter them better
-They admit logistically this could be a pain in the ass

Overall this app can have some really great potential, the flip side is dates can be super super shitty and/or boring.

I'll give this a 6/10.

I could see it being popular amongst gay dudes, it's like grindr but with one less step.

Good idea at first glance, totally dumb and impractical when you drill into it.

1. I always meet up with a girl in between where we live, so that it's not too bad of a drive for either of us. Now you have to choose a venue having no idea where your date lives? So let's say your perfect wife material lives 20 miles to your north, and you choose a date venue 10 miles south... you've unwittingly extended yourself out of her radius and missed out.

2. Say you propose a date, and the only takers are a couple of hideous fatties (anyone who's done online dating can imagine what a routine scenario this would be). Then what?

3. Can you bid on two or more dates that overlap in time? If yes, then what happens if you're chosen for both? If no, then geez, choose wisely.

4. Being able to chat before making a date is a feature, not a bug. I quite like having the freedom to screen out girls with no conversational ability, or those who aren't that interested, without wasting an entire night + $20.

5. Okay, so you've arrived at the venue but can't find your date, and you don't have her contact info. What do you do? Meanwhile, she's stuck in traffic wishing she could let you know. Logistically idiotic.

Good take - Kaotic - you will get scores and scores of old desperate carousel riders or fatties who get treated to free dinner. Of course not fucking the guy will not get them a minus in the rating - a man expecting that or having lousy Game however - that will certainly be instantly replicated. Also - even if a seasoned Player gets on that app and starts to have some sex with the ladies, then he will be quickly blacklisted for not calling back, for "taking advantage" of the women.

Looks like a bad app that simply does not understand the female nature at all.

We need an app that is called WHO WANTS TO FUCK RIGHT NOW and that goes straight from liking profile to setting up a fuck-date. But that would get only lackluster interest among women - at least for now. Maybe in a few years they will be degenerate enough.

And this already looks like the end-version - girl selects whether she is in the mood for sushi, BBQ or watching a movie - all on the dime of the Beta.

Jennifer confirms both dates for Friday - gets glowing reviews form Stan who bought her a pearl necklace and some diamond earrings. Chad commented with "Meh" which left Jennifer more motivated to get at least a "Fine" next time.

Jennifer already set up follow-up "dates" with Stan to go shoe shopping and maybe go check out that new "in-restaurant" in town, because she is such a foodie. She can always get more sex from Chad, but Stan is the FIRST - HEHE.

Has anyone been tinkering with this in a major city?

Not a brutal idea, in my opinion. Could see this working in a medium sized, easily commutable city like Spokane or something. Maybe even on college campuses. But would it work in LA or NYC? Not a chance, logistics and flaking would be nightmarish, especially with a high tourist population. I see potential in this app though. Brings people back to an old school dating style and that's pretty cool. I would try it on a night I'm bored and see what happens.
