If my initial text is not a question nor something that really prompts a response then I won't fault a girl for not hitting me back. Besides, if a girl is a just a bang the majority of my texts are just angling for setting up logistics anyway.

Now, if I ask a question and she doesn't respond in any reasonable window of time I will follow up later with a simple "?"

If no response from there then the ball is in her court I'm not sending anymore texts.

I text pretty much the same thing twice 3 days apart, like.... was nice meeting you and lets meet up......something like that.

If I don't get a hit on the second text I will keep it on ice and put it on my list for a spam text to dead leads, if I send a "how are you?" to ten numbers I nearly always get a couple of responses.

Once they respond they are invested in the conversation and I can re engage from there, usually late on a Friday or Sat night as they will be drunk and more open to chat.

As an aside I messed one of these up last night, I was overly direct about meeting up, I should have kept it playful for the first few texts instead of pushing for a meet on text 3, next time will be texts 5-7.

Ok, some of you may think this is childish or stupid but I like to have fun sometimes as we all know females can be childish and stupid with texts, or lack of, responding to it in any kind of considerate and adult way. Really, in the end, you just gotta have fun with this sometimes.

If you know for sure the girl is moving on and ignoring you and really you said or did nothing wrong and feel the girl is being a total b1tch about it after a date, I sometimes will text them with a different name pretending I got my numbers mixed up.

For example, if Katie isn't responsive anymore, I'll text her "Hey Heather, that was a great night we had. I'm looking forward to going out again on Friday..."

This definitely get's their hamster wheel going. LOL

Depends on context for me.

If it's a daygame girl and I got a tepid first response and then when I go for the date meet up request or any second response I send that gets no response from her, she's nexted.

If, on the other hand, it's an online sloot (or daygame girl) that I haven't met out yet but I've had good banter with and she goes quiet, then, like Isaac Jordan mentioned, I may send a "....." a few days later or "well, that was a short conversation (insert laughing emoji)" I'll often get responses like "oh, I'm sorry I was busy and meant to respond but forgot how are you?" etc, and the meet up will often ensue as well as the occasional bang.

In fact I did this last year with a cute online girl and she quickly sent "I can meet tonight" We met at a bar that night and did the indoor olympics at my place. Repeat business to boot.

Pride is one thing, sure. And I maintain my pride and frame with girls who are on the fence or who are not overly interested in the first place by nexting them when they go silent. These girls get a short leash

On the other hand, if they've shown some enthusiasm, I'll give them a longer leash. Young women are flighty, flaky and often confused creatures who get distracted easily by passing shiny objects. In these cases, the man needs to push toward the goal and stay on point with another text or two. If no response to those, then yeah by all means move on. However, if she's demonstrated prior engagement or a bit of interest, a re-ping often produces results.

Go with the flow, case by case basis. There's no harm in 2 really short texts, honestly. After all, if she wasn't interested you haven't lost anything.

Some girls will send you multiple short texts. And their phone is constantly blowing up, to assume she saw your one word or one sentence reply is a mistake.

If I'm trying to get a girl out and she doesn't reply, I'll wait a week and try again if I'm really interested but again low investment on my part.

I feel like some guys must have fragile egos if they're afraid to send a follow-up text. Why do you care what she thinks if you haven't even got her out yet?

To be perfectly clear, no you should not text the same girl at 6 and then at 8pm asking her to go out. If she told you she would definitely meet, however, a follow-up text is appropriate in case she just forgot or didn't see it or was busy texting her bffs.

Just to add to my previous post, I place more emphasis on the timing of my responses instead of balancing out the amount of responses switched between us.

It's the holy trinity of texting.

a) Timing (how long you take to respond, accounting for her response time)

You can disable 'last seen' and 'blue ticks' on WhatsApp. Shifts the frame of your phone being for their convenience to being for your convenience.

Use Airplane Mode. It's a blessing in disguise.

b) Frequency (topic of this thread)

c) Content (emotionally invoking, as mentioned by certain posters here)

Either way, you want to impose your frame including all of the above.

You set whats normal and manage expectations. If you seldom message, she will do the same.

Girls just want to be chased so can't really be rational about this shit.

I know guys who second text a dick pic. Sometimes blurred out, sometimes unabridged. It gets responses but I ain't into that pre-bang or on the second date. The chicks who are into that aren't the girls I am trying to attract.

Finally, I like to use voicenotes instead of purely text. Switch it between pics, voicenotes and purely text.

Assuming you have a sexy voice and not a mickey mouse one.

Elaborating on voice notes on whatsapp. I haven't seen it used much but do notice asians tend to leave multiple voice notes instead of texting or calling. A game avenue I haven't really thought of.

Could venture into it by set ups talking in a club or leaving sexual things you would do to her.

^ Personally I hate voice messages with girls - I don't really like my voice played back and when they send it it's usually too much blabbering to get to the point. I'd rather call.

One positive of voice messages over Whatsapp is that even if girls have disabled their blue ticks and last seen status, if you send a voice message and they play it you'll see the blue ticks and can see when they played it.

If I have a girl who is really hard to reply, I'll check her message window to see if she's ever online and send the voice message - it's a good way to evaluate if they are not checking their phone, straight up ignoring you, or listening to your message right away and just delaying their response.

I have a pretty deep voice, and leaving a voice note can very quickly get a chick investing.

I look at it a bit differently. Sometimes, when someone sends me a text (whether a guy, girl, family, etc) that isn't a question or a statement begging a response, it causes me to lose my train of thought because I didn't have anything immediately to say, and then I forget about it. For me, I usually let text conversations fizzle out, I very rarely say "Ok I gotta go, talk later."

And then, if they shoot me the double text, I'm usually thankful because, prior to that, I had nothing meaningful to say and forgot about it. Now the conversation starts. In my opinion, if that's the kind of situation where you're debating a double text, I say no harm no foul. If they legit ignore you after you've asked a question or made a particularly bold statement, that's an entirely different story.

I used to follow the strict rule of no double text.

Now with more experience + options under my belt, I don't even count how many texts I do.

Typically she responds after 1, but I'll spam texts just for the fun of it even when I anticipate she won't respond

I'd rather keep throwing stuff at the screen until something hits than not try at all...no sweat off my back if I'm ghosted since I see all "rejections" as practice

I'll wait anywhere from 2-7 days before the second text gets sent. If you can't put a double text to a chick off for a few days you don't have enough leads--pursing new girls as well as ones personal life and improvement should preoccupy you enough and give you peace of mind about double texting.

All of this is assuming that we had a flowing conversation then all the sudden she just stopped.

When the double text is sent it is to schedule a new date or to confirm plans we made in the future that they didn't respond to. If I get a second no response then like Issac Jordan said:

The best line of communication with girls is to have them add you on IG or Snapchat--DO NOT ADD THEM. Most of the time girls with have their snapchat set to where you can follow them and they don't have to follow you back. On IG you just might end up in follow request purgatory or if its a public account they simply just won't follow you back. this is where IG game comes into play in that moment when they go to follow you they see you have thousands of followers its a wrap.

My friend put me on IG game when we went out on a sunday morning and girls would see his and his dogs IG pages and go from luke warm to high interested in homeboy.

No one like to double-text, and I'm certainly no exception to that. But I also understand that it's sometimes necessary and I believe in being adaptable rather than rigid in your approach. Not double-texting, in my opinion, should be more of a guideline than a rule. I wouldn't do it all the time, but I won't count it out as an option either.

Its very situational. I ran a small sample size personally. If you dont really know her sending a brief one character message like a question mark after a few days cant hurt, I usually get a response. If it happens again I drop it, as it will be more trouble than its worth even if there is a 10 percent chance it leads somewhere. Leaves you in the upper hand if you do cross paths in someway.

But not replying to every single text isn't necessarily a sign of that, although it can be based on other evidence and circumstance.

So a hard rule isn't sensible here about the double text - it's more of a hard rule not to chase disinterested women.

I would only do it at least a few days - ideally a week - later.

No situation is alike, hence you should judge all interactions individually (that is not to say some rules of thumb are worthless). Generally, a girl's no response suggests no interest if it clearly is a No girl. However, you may sometimes be texting with weak Maybes and their situation days, weeks, or months later may change and she'll become susceptible to your courtship endeavours, hence shooting her a text some time later may generate a positive response.
