Its a show. Whether he is an alpha or a reactive beta in REAL LIFE wont be portrayed for the masses to see.
The only thing the masses will see is what they want us to see. They are marketers who are damn good at hyping up this Mayweather vs McGregor fight, just like the Pacquio vs Mayweather fight.

There is actually a pretty good discussion buried in all this professional sports circle jerking and celebrity show-boating worship:

How to be cool, confident, and in-control in hostile situations.

There is a very fine and nuanced line between handling a situation sitting down or standing up vs. looking weak and reactionary and looking confident and commanding. Taking a shot at someone physically or verbally is not always "reactionary beta" behavior, as some situations warrant having to talk someone down or maybe even beat someone down.

If you're at a bar/club and some clown is pawing at your girl and mouthing off at you, do you sit there and take it? Do you run off and grab security? In such a situation, would telling the dude off or getting physical if he escalates be considered "reactionary beta" behavior?
