'Adapting' to social media game will still lead to a poorer ROI than earlier times unless you're travelling out of the west. The game isn't just 'different' now. Chicks are trading sex and intimacy for likes and favourites. Most of the time using social media is just getting in line to be another orbiter in the collection of a vast array. It's like porn to them. Why do you think millenials are having less sex now than ever? The easiertogetlaid-hardertofindagoodgirl theory is pure cope. It's one of the worst times in modern history for both. Social circle game is literally all that's left if you still want to find your looks match for more than a ONS, and even that's been made harder because of the left/right attention she'll be getting.

The game term is "push-pull" but this is kind of another level of it, that's all.

It's always good especially if you're not top 1% in looks or famous to see your "clown/oscar winning" game succeed, but even if it does succeed, I've noticed, by the time I'm banging the girl, I am already exhausted and still on edge from the verbal warfare, so I can't really enjoy the bang that much.

I've even been to fucking France and Germany (anywhere out of the Anglosphere), and been just casual and neutral and got more success out there for 10x less stress. Heck even italian girls who are known to be difficult received me better than girls in the states. In decent sized cities a lot of these will be on foreign girls, like asians, south americans, but still the native population didn't require me to be the game equivalent of a mixture of Jonah Hill in Superbad combined with Kim Jong Un in order to have a girl interested in me.

The more I dress like an aggressive ex-convict in the US, the more attention I get, even from sweet feminine girls. This type of stuff scares a lot of girls off in the more traditional non-anglo countries. I know how some of the day gamers like to dress in a very edgy manner with multiple chains, dragon t-shirts or whatever and skull rings. I hate to do that kind of shit, it's the new Mystery fuzzy hat.

I've noticed there are some girls who will flip if you push it too far, the best thing I've noticed to do when a girl does that is tell her as sincerely as you can "X, I love you, I love you, I love you", again casually but with oscar winning sincerity. If you've known this girl for minutes it will be insane to her that she could believe it, but she does, so she is often smitten at that point. In my better days of game I've had girls speechless, run away, and come back like little kittens, saying almost breathlessly that they needed time to process what just happened there.
But I'm not talking like I can or do do that every day, no way. That is some of the power of it at its best. In fact I'm pretty fucking disillusioned with it because girls you'd think are intelligent are all the same and it's really quite dark, sad and exhausting that in order to get a girl you have to act so well, often things that you would never really do otherwise. At the same time as the warfare, there has to be the opposite involved, and you're also thinking about logistics, so you have to have multiple cores to your processor doing one task at a time. Today I saw a girl from behind who looked hot with an oldish (maybe nearly 50-60) man, I drove past and saw she was asian, and carrying his baby. That was the hottest girl I saw today. I know that guy has probably married her and all to get her over here, but I doubt very much he had to fire verbal ICBMs just to pique her interest.

I might be motivated to do it for model type Russian style 8s, but for common, basic, annoying 6s? Yes of course I would prefer to date now than 10,000 years ago in african tribes but other posters are right I long for the 70s, 80s and even 90s myself. Excellent point. I find ROI of ONS very low as well. You do all the hard work only to bang once? And hell I do it raw 100% of the time otherwise I don't do it; there are guys out there having tons of ONS with condoms on and they must really, really enjoy nightlife and the process of (often) verbal warfare and all the other shit you have to do to get a ONS. Too young in the 60s, in high school in the 70s, but I was in my early 20s in the 80s, and I never get into specifics because it would make you slump over unable to continue.

On the plus side, guys today who study game are light years ahead of the mooks back then, if you were back there, you would have cleaned up.

The main difference is, back then, the women took it on themselves to move the relationship forward, not the other way around like today.

They did it in girly, indirect ways, but there was no mistaking intention, even for the doofs like me and most of my friends.

It wasn't like, one mistake over a text and she is a ghost. She didn't have all the fake possibilities of the internet back then. All she had was you and whoever else was around that night. As they were going out the door, they drifted over near our table and one of the girls yelled at our table: "Why didn't any of you idiots come over and talk to us."

We invited them to join us, and it was on. Bar hopping. Pairing up. Leaving with some girl to her place. Zero talent required.

Here's my take, always a ying-yang as you'll see:
My friends who are married with children...actually, Al Bundy is probably very representative. They don't get sex often, it's not great sex, and they live a 'boring' life, but it's fulfilling because they have their loving wife and children and get to shape lives, etc, etc.
And they envy my sex life and freedom. A lot.

I live alone. I have lotsa freedom. I train BJJ and work out. I can go boating or camping or golfing or snowboarding or away for the weekend any time I want. I have sex with any willing babe.
And I envy their more simple life. I envy their progeny.

Let's not glorify and chastise either lifestyle too much. Societally, we should glorify families, because women are a product of society. Women should definitely not be glorifying the single life and dating. Men just do whatever works.

Personally, as a man, you should see the ying-yang of both lifestyles.

I credit this guy for his business acumen in drawing a crowd to preach this hogwash to women, but I don't think I could morally ever do that (I don't judge him, I just disagree). I could never tell women how great dating is for them, especially 25+ women.

I can't agree with you more but there are going to be different strokes for different folks. I noticed that it is relatively easy for ONS as the girl is caught off guard half the time but once her hamster wheel starts spinning or if she talks to her circle of friends, that's when retention can be a problem.

Personally I like to go for repeat bangs so depending on the girl, I may tone it down on the first date and go for it 2nd or 3rd(generally accepted by both sexes) date. Banging on 2nd and 3rd dates has repeatedly led to repeat bangs usually.

In the 80s I lived in a world where flaking was rare, girls were my friends not "verbal sparring partners", and nice girls were abundant and reliable enough that I was chilled out about it. Other guys were similar: they would have girlfriends but weren't doing crazy whiteknight shit or fighting other guys or trying to get shredded in the gym or learning advanced cold approach game just to get some. Such urgency bordering on panic would have been alien to me and other guys like me back then.

I look the same, I'm arguably more attractive now, I grew my hair out and got braces recently, my teeth used to be quite crooked, and people regularly mistake me for being 24 (I'm in my 30's), I'm just very youthful-looking. A year ago, I had slimmed down an extra 10 pounds off my usual weight, and I actually got carded at the movies (it was rated R), my buddy that was with me had a good laugh about it, but he was also kind of jealous, in a good way.

A high quality girl before would only be approached by guys that had the balls to go up to her, so if she wanted a good looking, tall guy like me, she had to literally go up to me and chat with me, or be responsive when I chatted her up. Otherwise, she was going to have to take dick from a less attractive man and fantasize about me while she was going at it. Now she's approached by thousands of guys online, and differentiating yourself from the chaff is a herculean task, and that's IF you're actually exceptional. If you aren't, forget about it.

Even if you get her, if you piss her off for any little thing, there's literally 1,000 guys in line waiting to bang her, with no negative social stigma from her going down that line. Before, a girl would think twice before hopping on a new dick, because she didn't want to burn her reputation, so you had leverage to get disagreements resolved your way.

Things have changed. They've changed massively.

You're right in that 2004-2006 while not as good as the 80s or 90s in my opinion was still "glory days" compared to now. It's obviously due to the internet and social media/dating app usage and all that comes with it. Obvious, but while we may know this logically, you just can't fucking replace the confidence boost you walking past as just you, you alone, and girls giggling... Or hot girls you know asking if you can hug them, and why won't you touch them (hot blonde girl in HS but I had a quality GF), or girls you haven't even banged yet giving you gifts of food or just random gifts that had real thought into them because they know it would hit your heart strings a bit, and heck I didn't mind the manipulation because it was so pleasant.

Even the internet had some "glory days" in the sense that girls who were online in those days - on various websites and odd Yahoo groups or AOL style chat rooms and of course early days of MySpace, the girls who were online were higher quality, genuine, and you could just add them to Yahoo messenger or MSN messenger. I used to play games like Blood (scary as hell and banned for a few years I think) while talking to chicks on YM/AOLM/MSNM. It was cool when they came online as they had names like "Stacy" surrounded on each side by hearts, flowers, rainbows, stars and other cute shit. There were other sites of interest that I randomly came across like language exchange sites looking for penpals. I'm part Swedish by descent but I'm only partially able to read/write/speak so I just picked a swedish girl and we wrote in snailmail and spoke on MSN and by webcam all the time. She was hot as hell in a sweet/cute way (but with massive rack) however she said in a sad tone of voice that she was lonely and no guys approached her or noticed her. I went to Sweden to visit my swedish relatives and she lived only 10 miles away. Yep, the advantage of "home" for us is that the US provides at least opportunities for building wealth. I spent so many years in the "Mystery Method" game phase at night that I fucked up and consequently paid quite a high price health and wealth wise for the (mostly mediocre, but dirty I guess) bangs that I did get. So I'm not one of these forum members with a high paying side-hustle or advanced qualification. The thing I know most about is "poosy theory" and that's useless in the US. So I just have to rely on putting in extra time and trying to get in the best physical shape I can to finally leave. Because even though I'm no high flyer in the US, the money is still good for certain countries in EE, SA and SEA.

For all those saying "NOW is the best time" clearly didn't live any of those days. Currently restricted to only ~1 month long scouting trips, but if/when I am expatriated, hope to meet some of you guys to share stories not just of the past, but of the present, of the beautiful, pleasant, feminine girls we're dating, finally out of the West.

This girl was gorgeous, flawless skin, some of you that have a thing for natural platinum blondes would probably rate her a 9.

Also, the odds of a girl like that having pictures that make her look like a 6 are also close to zero. To reiterate, she reverse-catfished me, her pictures made her look two or three points below her real SMV. Could that happen today? Not likely.

So, I was thinking about this thread and what has changed in me between then and now. I can't control Tinder and Bumble and all that, but I can control myself, so while I'm in America, I do want to make the best of things. Here's a few things of note about the top notch girls I've dated:

1. I could never have met them at a bar, because they didn't know what alcohol tasted like.
2. I could only have met both where they worked or at their college, and I could have met one of them at an all ages music show or maybe at a coffee shop.

So, for me, I need to forget the bars and go to every all ages show I can go to and open every tattoo-less cutie I see. College is also where it's at, if you can approach the ones that had great parents right after they move out of home, there may still be hope.

I'll update you guys over the next year or two as I test this out, unless I expatriate before then.

I've really taken your angle from up above - re-allocating time I spent on online sites and apps into real-life gaming and building a better circle I can use to bring quality into my life.

Taking a cue from Jordan Peterson's "stop saying things that make you weak," guys gotta get square on the losing angles for their game - not only does it waste time but a failing strategy will truly fuck with your sense of self-worth. When you notice it doing that, stop doing it and pivot to another scheme that's better for you. There's a bunch of ways to skin a cat; guys do themselves a disservice thinking they have to succeed specifically in clubs/street pickups/beach days/etc.
