GO away already, thought you got a warning.
We get it - YOU despise Toronto.
Montreal ain't as easy as it was 20 years ago, loads of dudes are flocking there now.
Easy pussy to be found in Ottawa, Winnipeg and Edmonton.
You see..This is the problem..You're gonna come up here talking to me, then when I reply, you gonna want to advocate for censorship because I criticized Liberals and Toronto.
The thread title is relevant to my previous posts, though I didn't criticize Toronto. The Thought Police mentality in Toronto is strong.
You appear to play the role of thought police while indirectly trolling me to provoke a response. It is childish, and sounds very typical of what those government paid Harper trolls used to do on anti-government forums back in 2012-2014.
I do notice that before a lot of Canadians expressed dislike for Toronto, but recently it appears that Toronto doesn't like the rest of Canadians. Where have the outspoken Canadians gone? Did the Thought Police shut them up?
What's the matter with Toronto? When you criticize it someone trolls you in the Thought Police state of mind.
I wasn't even criticizing Toronto in my last posts but merely explaining how Montreal is better than Toronto in terms of cost of living, game, human rights etc.
Toronto got that Thought Police nonsense and political correctness Orwell 1984 style.

I don't mind your critique of Toronto, but some of it is incorrect. Most of the toronto-hate in this thread is hilarious. It's sensationalism at its finest. I've never experienced most of what members complain about. I know toronto isn't perfect - it's far from it, and yes it has a lot of problems, but you'll seldom encounter the vicious feminist/sjw cells. Unless you're only visiting uber hipster bars. Your complaint about student loans is completely based in fantasy, by the way. And please tell me where you find $10,000 textbooks. I'm curious.
I'm still waiting to meet members on this forum who complain about toronto - the offer is on the table. Please, take me out and show me the venues you frequent where you're faced with such horrific problems.

Your posts are negative and you are very bitter.
You received a warning but yet you are back again.
Again, WE get it ...... you HATE Toronto.
I have never met these mysterious SJW/feminist nazi people you keep talking about. They must hang out at different bars to me.
I posted back because I received a reply from another forum member who claims that Montreal is so bad that it makes a city he claimed that he never really visited to be feasible.
Toronto Thought Police is strong in this thread. I wouldn't be surprised if I got mysteriously taken away, extradited back to Toronto and forced with Soma Pills chanting "Toronto is a gr8 city".
Lurkers should read that if a city claims itself to be at least decent, then why take the effort to discredit relevant posts while hoping for a banhammer on the critics?
Ya know the Beenie Man song "From mi know dem p***yhole dem nuh like me"? That is a song what Roosh should be playing when he visits back Toronto.
Thought police vibes strong here man..Criticizing Toronto automatically makes one "bitter" and deserving to be banned..I can't wait for some blogger to screen capture this thread and put it on their blog because I sense censorship.
I also received complaints from other members of the same thing about the Toronto Thought Police, some of which has evidence in other threads.
Weird things a gwaan. I can't even reply to my responses without being called "bitter".

RE: What's the matter with Toronto? Seriously...
You keep saying the same over and over and over and over again. Do you take medication?
No one is saying come to Toronto, yes we all agree it is a tough city.
Everyone is entitled to his opinion, Montreal is not the same easy spot it once was. That is my opinion, but yet I encourage people to visit because I think it is a nice city. I do not get upset because someone else shares a different opinion.
You obviously live in Montreal, so why not write us a up to date datasheet on the place. It would be more appreciated than your ongoing posts saying the same thing about Toronto.
There are many places I dislike, but I always encourage people to travel. What may be crap for me might be a pussy paradise for others.
Toronto was not good for you because you stated you have beginner game, fair enough. No harm in that, i would certainly agree with that statement.
However, I know guys that are A+ plus players and slaughter this place and would not dream of leaving. They have also traveled the globe and yet they found other places tougher or lacking the same quality. Go figure.
Also keep in mind that a lot of girls from Ontario visit Toronto year round, they usually stay on King St at the Hyatt or some AirBnB. I had a few kills dealing with these girls who are in town looking for fun for the weekend, my friends and I refer to these girls as the 519 or lately it has been the 613.
So you see Mr Berkley, this is an example of a post with information and rational thoughts.
I could not care less what you say about Toronto, but the nonsense about Hate police, SJWs, Feminists makes you sound unintelligent.

RE: What's the matter with Toronto? Seriously...
Uber is big in Toronto.
If you are a smart driver you will make good coin. To many drivers just peddle around hoping for rides and surcharges. Not ideal. The key is being strategic and driving in good zones during peak demand. One driver I casually know only dives AM and PM rush hour and makes ~$300 a day on average.
Uber is red hot in the Toronto market. Apparently they make $20 million a month in revenues just in Toronto! They bleed a shit ton of money of legal and lawyers though. Apparently the Toronto legal beagles shook them down hard when they had lobby the City. They were burning through millions on Ads and Lobbyists a month during that time frame trying to get approved.
TTC loosing cash to Uber. All the downtown folks who subsidize the system ditched the TTC for Uber. TTC curiously has more or less a $20-30 million shortfall each month...
With the Condos.
We see canary bird in the coal mine stuff all the time. UrbanCorp goes bankrupt right in the middle of the biggest building boom in history. Same exact stuff happened in the last boom here in the early 90s, and in the USA as warning signs before it crashed.
Far to many folks are gambling on Condos to get rich quick. I know people from my other job who are just event planners, stage builders, who own in Liberty Village. I likely make more cash vs them and I am barley getting by. I would look like I was faking it with a fat CC and home line of credit which is what I suspect many do to keep up appearances.
I blame the immigrant hustle as well. Many of these young folks getting down payments from their immigrant parents who worked to the bone to save up a cushion for this kids. The parents think home ownership is the only way to make it and convince the kids to jump in head first without even thinking about the bigger picture.
Or.
Many immigrant parents who had to hustle and dodgy things to make it are using their kids clean credit sheets to get mortgages as a trick to get some big cash for the family. The intension are well of course but many don't see the bigger picture. Housing is only an asset when you can assure somebody else is willing to pay more when you want to sell it. The house itself has little to no value.
With wages flat, growth tepid, and young people delaying kids, boomers in masse, etc. Who is going to pay you more for your home?
Foreign Ownership.
I don't buy it. A study done out of Victoria puts Foreign investments in RE at only 8%. If global money was so hot here why isn't big time Asian and Arab money building big projects here? In LA you have the Koreans building office towers, SF is getting Arab and Asian money as is Vegas. When their is money to be made they flood in. Toronto is still getting projects built with oatmeal pension funds. Still not dynamic and mature like other markets that are truly global. Office vacancy is at record lows. A bunch of Arabs could overpay and buy a parking lot and dump a tower on it and make money. Toronto isn't seeing that type of shwred development yet like you see in other markets.

Without turning this into a T.O. real estate thread, condo prices, on average, have been flat. Workmanship may have declined, and condos are being built out farther from the core, and square footage might have too ... but detached home are a supply-side problem with a lot of pent-up demand. I picture a lot of boomers sitting on their homes until they die (then give it to their own kids), or maybe renting them out.
Detached Home Prices continually rise; condo prices flat since 2011 ( image)
My outlook: Unless you can buy a detached home, continue to rent an apartment and bank the difference between your rent and the mortgage you'd be paying; invest in equities.

Heck , why not. It is one of the biggest problems with Toronto and it sure beats talking about the boogie man and SJWs.
I thought house prices in the burbs were bad, ever look at the prices on the subway line. Royal York going east.

RE: What's the matter with Toronto? Seriously...
RE: Kosko: It is largely foreign ownership. Most of our clients (over 60 percent) are foreign, and the amount of property that they're purchasing, even now, is incredible. You have a plethora of rich families coming in from Asia and scooping up everything they can - but the market will cool down a bit if toronto ends up implementing an RE tax for foreign investors that they're talking about. B.C did it, so we'll wait for some results on that. Now, everyone is searching outside of toronto; Newmarket, Bradford, Oakville, and Barrie are seeing massive booms in home prices. I can guarantee you though, offshore purchasing is one of the largest contributors to this housing price boom.
It's crazy to me. Owning a house right now vs. renting is an awful choice. Rent, invest your money, spend the rest of your life soaking up the dividend payments from your equities.
