What's your day game approach?

I've just started doing it in Copenhagen. Until now, I never really did it consistently, but I'd like to start. You may find yourself pleasantly surprised after experiencing the ravages of night game. Just started, done a few half-assed approach, no closes. Some preliminary observations:

The directions opener works. It stops the girl and it’s natural enough that her alarms aren’t set off, it gives her a reason to stand and talk to you. No one can belt out perfect directions on the fly, so she’ll deliberate a bit, giving you an opportunity for normal conversation. I was pussy for a while to approach as what openers I had didn’t seem compelling enough to stop a girl in her tracks.

The interaction changes the moment you go from asking, to making a funny observation or comment. It seems like being warm and smiling as you’re asking primes her for having a fun conversation. Ie., if you ask for directions in a very plain way, it’ll seem a little off to have a regular conversation, like “ wait, what, he wants to talk to me?” ; if you seem like a fun warm guy, well, that’s just what you do.

She goes from doing a task, giving you directions, to enjoying herself by talking to you. The comment doesn’t have to be related to the opener, eg opener then random observation (eg, “Oh my god, I just came from the gym, and I was jumping this weight over my head, and this old woman was practically running away, scared that I’d drop it on her” “I just talked to my friend in Paris, and he. . .”) Or it could be related, not sure yet if there’s a difference in effectiveness.

Structure:
Warm vibe throughout
Opener – ask for directions
Funny observation/story with temporal/contextual relevance, so it comes off as natural.
Humor, especially jokes/scenarios that involve her in some way in multi-threaded conversation
Some rapport – exchange names, ask about her
More humor
Instant date or suggest a meetup in the future, then number close [haven’t gotten to this point on recent approaches]

If the conversation dies out, bust out another funny observation or story, or a relevant opinion opener – eg you asked about a music store, conversation dies out, you say “speaking of music, what do you think of Chris Brown?”


Let your first try be with a place you actually want to find.

Here is one that went well while it lasted:

Walking on a pedestrians only street, notice two blondes walking in the same direction to my left. One is a 9, the other a 6. Deliberate for a moment, say:
“Hey guys, do you know where a good shwarma place is [they’re all over]?”
Them: uh they’re all around, maybe there’s one over there. . .
Me: Ever since I got to Copenhagen, that’s all I’ve been eating, just schwarma and falafel.”
Vibe totally changes, the nine starts laughing, the six has the vibe of “oh god, another guy hitting on my friend”
Me: Alright, where’s the best schwarma in town then?
Nine: You should come to Norrebro, it’s half the price and tastes better.
Me: Oh, that’s the place with all the shootings, right? [smiling]
Nine: [smiles] oh well I live there, and I’m fine
Me: So I’ll get shot, but the schwarma will make it worth it.
We see a schwarma place, I smile and say goodbye, and part ways.

I said more than the above, but don't really remember. I did at one point say where I lived, but it did nothing for the interaction. Conveying info kills the vibe.

Sorta feel like a poser posting without much success in this regard. I haven’t daygamed recently or consistently, but I have had success with it before. Also, people suggest using a time constraint at the beginning.

Roosh, what openers do you suggest for the street, as well as a bookstore, coffeeshop and a grocery store?

When she said "another guy is hitting on my friend". I would've pushed it in that direction instead of changing back to the opener. Was she open to be hit on, or was she pissed off (bitch shield)?

I would've been like "I'm not hitting on your friend, I was actually interested in talking to you" to disarm the other girl, etc.

I read this post a while ago and wanted to reply to it but I forgot my password because im fucking smart like that so I opened a new account.

Looks like you have some good day game going down and that is what I have been running all year. I am a grad student in Montreal and University campuses are a massive I mean massive resource for running day game. It is easy because everyone has something in common, not only that you are at the same school but roughly the same class, ethnic group, etc. So you can drop numerous non threatening openers, like "this coffee is shit, i dont know why i drink it everyday." The problem is these convos tend to be super boring as shit so you need to get off the same old topics. Another thing that I have realized is that north american girls, and maybe beyond dont give a fuck about you and your academic life, unless it is exactly the same field, and even there you can't really dwell on it, or a professor, but they are all old and ugly anyways.

Anyways, as you can see I am going through similar thought processes/day game improvement like yourself.
In regards to yours, keep exploring, but I personally don't like the directions opener, simply because the segue-way into other topics, building rapport, is limited. The funny opener I think works best, it starts it on a good note. Also the observational one, classic being what is that youre reading, or how can you read here with all this noise, or again, this coffee is shit.

As for the model dialogue, I would have to totally disagree with Senor El Guapo, I think that would just be a strange burst into the conversation that would blow out of the water the truth that all you want is her vag.

I would like to see how this goes, I think we are in the same spot, well I know where I am, in that I am a great opener, good at getting dialogue going, making her laugh, eye contact, get her into me etc for the 20 mins that I get her to sit still and talk to me, but I am no closer, ie what you said making future plans to meet up. I think this has to do with a) I have a girlfirend and its a long term relationship and ive been (almost) caught cheating so many times that its jsut a big hassle
b) the context of university, I will likely see these girls again, and again.

Anyways, get back to me on closing.

I smoke so day game comes naturally to me...if I see a chick just out in the street or while Im out on break or something I'll just ask if I can use their light. Bam there goes their little protective shield that they have on 'em and then you get a 5 min time limit to build attraction,make an impression, and get a number. I just love doing it because every single time there's a different conversation and its like its a test almost. Usually if all goes well and attraction is built I'll tell her she seems pretty cool and ask If she'd like to grab a coffee sometime (usually works,smokers+coffee are like fat kids+cake)..I then ask her if she has email(picked this off of d'angelo). She'll say either a)yes or b) why dont I just give you my number?. If its (A)get a piece of paper and pen, get them to write it down and say "hey,you should put your number there too,just in case an act of god destroys my computer"(something along those lines to get them laughing), or if its B get out your phone,and let her type her name+number in. After the whole procedure's done while im heading back inside I just send her a quick msg so that she can add me to her list too. This works out later so that they actually remember who you are when you call them back in a couple days.

anyway, thats my main hoorah for day game lol. Any suggestions for improvements would be happily taken as well

Lol, well if you're going to end up with lung cancer, you better get some ass out of it. You're right though, a cig or lighter as an opener is great for smokers. I'm wondering if there's something that convenient for non-smokers.

I also thought to followup on the email to number thing, after she agrees to give you her email say, "oh...I can't find my pen, type your number in my phone instead" while handing it to her. If the girl isn't familiar with your model of phone and starts fumbling around, it provides the opportunity to bust on her for being clumbsy, I did this once and she laughed and looked all shy.

hey roosh, what do you think I can add to my 5 min sort of game scenario? It works pretty well for the most part but I can always do better. Maybe now I'll start trying it on groups of smokers instead of just single and that'll help my confidence for approaching groups of women at the bar or something.

Yep, this works perfect. I discovered the smoking thing one day when I saw a gorgeous Russian girl trying to light a smoke but her lighter wasn't working. I was sitting on a bench and she is trying to light away. She looks over and I just hold my lighter up, and make her come over to me. We started a conversation for about a minute when her phone rang. She talked or a couple of minutes to her friend, got off the phone and then had to go back to work. Didn't get much out of it because I had just started gaming, but I saw the pottential. Had her friend not called I'm sure I would have gotten a number.

Also interested in a follow-up. Basil's Day Game structure is exactly identical to the one I use for stree game. Works incredibly well for 5 minute closes.

I haven't had much success from day game, mostly because I haven't really done it with any consistency and volume. Let's see... Two of my first dates ever were with chicks I met in the same bookstore. I also banged an Aussie on a hostel bunk bed that I met in a Berlin walking tour, banged a girl I met working at J Crew a few times, and met my one ex girlfriend while in college, on a pedestrian only street during the day. Unless you get a good rhythm down, the moving around and down time in day game is a mood killer for me. I'm studying for a class, and I'd love to try out a spot where I can study and mack when an opportunity presents itself.

I'm doing more throwaway approaches now though - briefly macked a fit plain Jane in the grocery store last night with a big athletic ass. Saw the ass in sweats and thought damn, what kind of man would I be if I didn't take a crack at that. Plus I was looking for kitchen utensils, so I asked her. Followed it up immediately with humor "looks like you don't talk to yourself, unlike everyone else I see here" (saw some weird people in the aisles...). Want to try, "You look like you know your way around a kitchen" for my next supermarket attempts.

In general, a good tactic for day game is ragging on the people around you. Unlike in night game, most of the people aren't often remotely competition: hobos, retards, fatties, the ghetto fabulous, etc. It's you, her, and the people of Walmart. Contextual humor is always good.

It sounds weird, but the sheer volume I did in online dating has made me want to holler at every decent chick. If you're already doing something, there's no harm in tossing lines at every chick passing by, and seeing who bites.

There's a college near me whose library I used twice, and I'm dying to mack there. Last time I was there, I briefly chatted up a couple girls, but nothing long. I've started writing a guide for gaming on college campus, but it's not complete until I've banged at least one girl from my own advice. I still haven't figured out a good angle. I'm going to buy Day Bang and hopefully do some more thinking, scoping and macking, and see what comes out. Currently, my guide consists of an analysis of possible campus venues, plus some sample openers.

PS: Was at a coffee shop Saturday and a cougar sits down at my table, aging face, kicking body. Asks if she can sit down, I say "yeah," and then, "you're not going to cause trouble, are you?" Mack a little, she digs the attention but that's it. Time passes. Chick feigns interest in the math work I'm doing, then says "now that I've broken the ice, can you help me with my computer, the Wifi-" and I ejaculate with tiger like reflexes, "No." Thanks Uncle Roosh
